Nick got back to us quickly with a quote even on a weekend which I really appreciate because we were in a time crunch. These movers were nice guys and worked really hard. However, they didn't take as much care with our things as we would've hoped and a lot of our items were damaged. We noticed some of the damages at the end of the move so we brought it to their attention and received $100 off of the move. It didn't cover the cost of the items, but we decided it was fair enough in the moment. Unfortunately, after the movers left we continued to notice that more things had been damaged than we realized. Some of the items were irreplaceable and some were expensive. We felt like it was important for us to write an honest review of our experience for anyone looking for movers. I recently hired Busy Bee Movers to move some heavy furniture from my friend's house to my apartment, as well as get rid of some old objects/move large items into my apartment complex's dumpster. Wow--- I was genuinely impressed with the entire process. From the very beginning, Stan, was incredibly responsive and professional. He answered my Yelp request almost immediately, which was especially helpful since I was in a bit stressed trying to find help on a Sunday with less than 24 hours' notice. Haazat and Didar showed up right on time, and were very friendly and approachable. They were skilled & brought a wonderful energy that made the whole experience feel much less daunting. I had a lot of heavy items to move, including a marble table, a mattress, huge bean bag chair, an armchair, a large L-couch, and a glass table, and they approached each task with care and consideration. They also were so generous --- they helped move incredibly heavy things within the home, too (e.g., workout equipment that was staying at the first location). They're very strong! The transit time was about 45-50 minutes to the second location and they were very efficient. It was a hot summer day, so I am extra grateful that they maintained a positive attitude and worked diligently. Their professionalism really shone through as they took the time to ensure everything was loaded securely and unloaded carefully. It was great having conversation with them, too - they're both great to get to know! I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they completed the move, and I felt that the pricing was very reasonable compared to other companies I had looked into. Overall, this experience far exceeded my expectations, and I am truly grateful for the hard work and support from Stan, Haazat, and Didar. Nick and Mike were very communicative and responded super quickly! Setting the date for my move was easy, and they were so flexible with my changing schedule. I was surprised that they were able to fit me in during the holidays since I was looking to move by the end of the year but didn't start looking until a little over a week before my deadline (my procrastination.) After looking at and reaching out to several businesses, I found Busy Bee Movers to have reasonable rates that were transparent and felt suitable based on the quality of communication. They made sure that I was aware of all rates charges in case I missed reading them in their initial contact message! I truly appreciated that. The movers did a fantastic job. I had Miguel, Daniel, and Dee (sorry, I'm not sure how to spell his name. Maybe Deiter?), and they were professional and careful with my items. I was in an uncommon situation where the door to my old unit had to be removed to take out my fridge, mattress, and box spring. I gave them a heads up, and they had the tools needed to make sure it was done right. As far as I can tell, nothing scraped against the walls in the narrow stairway or hallway, and my old landlord didn't reach out to me for any issues with the doors after the movers replaced them! That's a lot more than I can say about the people who moved me in there a year prior from a different company. It began lightly raining, so they had a blanket and wrapped my fridge to make sure it stayed dry which I really liked. The part that I was most appreciative of was that they had this little roll-out mat (like a utility version of a red carpet) that they used at my new unit to reduce chance of damage to the new floors when they brought things in! This was by far the worst moving experience I've ever had. The movers were scheduled to arrive at 8:00 AM but didn't show up until 9:30 AM without any notice or communication. To begin with, only two people showed up, and from the start, we had a serious communication problem because neither of them could speak English. We had to use a translator app just to communicate the basics, which slowed everything down significantly. The estimate I received was that the entire move would take three to four hours. Instead, it took nine hours -- and that was with three movers by the end. I had a one-bedroom apartment with only 14 boxes and three major pieces of furniture: my couch, my work desk, and my bed. I had already done all the prep work before their arrival: everything was boxed, shelves were removed, and nothing required any additional packing. They didn't have to touch a single item beyond simply moving it. Despite all that, they moved painfully slow. It took them over an hour just to open the bed -- not even to move it, just to open it. For comparison, in my previous move, it only took 15 minutes. I eventually had to ask them to send a third person to help speed things up, but even that barely made a difference. They were completely unprepared, showed up without any tools or proper equipment, and had to carry every item by hand. The total distance between my old and new apartments was less than five miles, and there were no stairs involved and the walking distance from the unit to the elevator was less than three minutes -- yet somehow, they still managed to take nine hours to finish a simple one-bedroom move. At the end of the move, I asked if everything had been unloaded, and they said yes. Unfortunately, I didn't personally check the truck at the time -- a mistake I won't make again -- because I later realized that two of my boxes were missing. If you ever use this company, make sure to thoroughly check their truck yourself before they leave. For all the stress and inconvenience they caused, they offered me a measly 5% discount, which I refused because it didn't come close to making up for the hardship they put me through. They even charged me for the third mover -- someone I shouldn't have had to request in the first place. This was an incredibly frustrating and exhausting experience. Everyone I've spoken to has been shocked that a one-bedroom apartment move took nine hours. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration -- go with professionals who are actually equipped and capable of doing the job right. read more

I gave tentative dates and times and even had to modify my move date and they were so easy to work with despite my sudden adjustment request. $109/hour cash (3 hour minimum). We packed a lot but Raymond and another mover were so efficient, professional, and took care of all our items. Not a single item was broken in our move. We did it all in 3.5 hours.
