Since he blocked me on Facebook messenger and can't reach him. I will post here. This is based on my experience with the owner. I told him I wanted to opt out. I'm just asking if I will get my refund. I'm kinda sad this is how he treated me since I told him I won't be able to do it at this time to do the 21 days challenge.. I will try to contact him again. I attached my convo on fb messenger with him. I didn't mean to sound like a bitch but anything can be taken out of context. I'm genuinely happy for people who makes time and do it for themselves. I didn't even started and told him right away. I didn't use his facility or use his meal guide. Man.... I'm just sad.. I just want my refund.

I just completed the 6 week challenge and lost a little over 20 pounds! What? Sounded almost impossible to me. Well, a family friend of mine kept "checking in" on her FB account almost every day to this Fitness and Motion gym. When I did a little research, I found out that they have a challenge to lose 20 pounds in 6 weeks. Sounded good to me... And so my journey began. I just turned 40 years old this past August. My BMI classifies me as OBESE geez, such a harsh term. I currently take medication for hypothyroid, anxiety and depression. I have three children age 20, 16 and 4. I work as a Medical Assistant at UCSD about 25-35 hours a week. So yes, most days are pretty busy, rushing around trying to get across traffic and be productive. What ends up happening is I get tired, I crave for a nap and give in to grabbing food for myself and my family at the nearby drive thru or take out joint. Ughh, so dreadful, I know. I wanted so badly to make a change and to better myself. I've tried many weight loss programs in the past. Weight Watchers, HMR weight loss meals and meal replacement shakes, Orange Fitness Theory and also our local gym. None of them lasted. My friend told me they have a family day at FITMO and that it would be an opportunity for me to try the class. I was hooked. Marta was the trainer for fHiiT camp that day at the 5am class!!! It wasn't easy I will admit - but I did it. By the following Saturday (10/31) I was at orientation with more than 50 other people ready to take on the challenge. I learned how to meal plan and was given informational handouts of all the details to STTP (stick to the plan). Sunday I went grocery shopping and did meal prep for the week. It was very simple and straight forward. It took merely 2 hours to complete. FITMO provides a video link to demonstrate easy meal prep. Several fHiiT camp times were available Monday to Friday starting at 5am and ending the day with a 6:20pm Cardio class. On Saturday and Sunday only 8am classes were available. The class size is about 10-15 people depending on the time of day. My classmates were all friendly. My trainer's Marta, Stephanie and Franco were always very enthusiastic. They kept us on our toes and working hard. The workouts were reasonable and I was comfortable even with history of carpal tunnel syndrome and plantar fasciitis. Week one - After eating my prepped meals and attending fHiiT camp 5 times out of the week at 5am with Marta - I LOST 7 pounds!!! Week two, same planning, I lost 1 pound. Week three I added 3 sessions of cardio to my regular 5 day fHiiT camp and lost 4 more pounds. Week four was Thanksgiving week - and I started my menstrual cycle (GEESH) and barely lost a half pound. By week 5, I was only 5 pounds away from goal. I stepped up my game and worked out twice daily and ate very carefully. Final weigh in, I lost 21.4 pounds!!! Woo hoo! Oh, Happy Day!! I was so proud of myself!!! I am very grateful for all the support and encouragement from the entire FITMO staff. I made many new friends that I will cherish forever. I would recommend this program 100% to anyone who is ready and willing to put in the hard work and dedication. Thank you FITMO. Thank You Danny and Emma, Marta, Stephanie, Franco, John, Aurelie, Reina, and staff.

I honestly can say, joining Fitness & Motion was one of the BEST decisions I have ever made in my life. I joined the gym on September 15, 2014 for their 6 week challenge and my life was forever changed. I would have never thought I would ever think of the gym as my third home (besides my actual home and work). Needless to say, after the six weeks, I was hooked and I became a regular client member. The fHIIT camps by Marta and Rochelle are absolutely amazing... (Keep in mind, Marta loves her burpees and Rochelle loves killing your lower body, it's the best feeling ever). I heard Fahd runs an amazing fHIIT camp but I have never experienced it since his class is on Tuesdays, at 9:30am (if I ever get the chance to, I will). The cardio classes by Stephanie are also amazing to get your heart rate up and the blood pumping through your veins. Classes are only 40 minutes long! So, fit it into your schedule. I, personally, have had the pleasure of working with Marta and Rochelle as my personal trainer and I LOVE them to death. They take into consideration, 1. Your goals, 2. Your weaknesses, 3. Your strengths. I have had trainers at 24 hour and LA fitness. never have I wanted to continuously want to sign up for personal training like I do at Fitness & Motion. Rochelle and Marta worked on improving my posture (thanks to Julius for pointing that out), which helped reduce risk of injury and strengthened my back muscles. Rochelle showed me that I was stronger than I ever thought I was. Squats galore, tire flips and carrying a water pipe will do that to you, too! Fahd and Julius are also awesome trainers. They have the ability to train you up for competitions and they're both very helpful with keeping you in check. The owner, Danny is very courteous and professional. He makes sure that the gym is a positive experience and environment. Everyone at the gym shares a mutual respect for each-other and supports each-other in our own personal goals, whether it's to lose weight, tone, bulk up, or get in some physical activity. Depending on what program you choose to partake in, there is a meal plan provided. Have you ever actually gone into the gym and known everyone's name? This gym is like my second family. They are my friends that have become like family. Everyone wants to see you achieve your goal. Fitness & Motion will change your life for the better and you will never look at fitness or nutrition begrudgingly ever again. Thank you Fitness & Motion for everything.

    Getting my sweat on!!!!

I just completed the 6 week challenge and lost 32.2 pounds by sticking to the program (STTP) that the trainers at Fitness and Motion provide to me. At first I was skeptical about the whole process, but all the trainers at Fitmo (Danny, Marta, Auriele, Stephanie, John, and all other staff) are very knowledgable about nutrition and encourage you to do your best. So I began my journey at 292 lbs, which is the highest I have ever weighed. I knew I needed to change my lifestyle when I would get winded tying my shoes. I have always struggled with my weight almost all my life, but these last few years took a toll on me. I currently take medication for PTSD and Patella Femoral Pain Syndrome. I am married and have two children age 3, and 1. I work as a Veteran Service Representative (40 hrs a week), I attend school full-time 2 to 3 times a week (Masters Degree), and I also intern 20 hrs a week as a Social Work Therapist. So my life is really busy, and I used to let my hunger lead me to eat fast food and unhealthy food because it was fast and easy. Many people in my life have continued to encouraged me to make a change, but like any addiction a person will not change until they are ready. For the longest time I have let my drive to become successful in my life cloud my vision of conducting my own self-care. It was not until I came across an ad on Facebook for a challenge to lose 20 lbs in 6 weeks, and if you lost the weight than you would keep the money for the training. I thought to myself, "John put your money were your mouth is." I have worked out many times in my 29yrs of life, but what I struggled with was eating healthy. When I joined Fitmo they provided me with a meal prep that was easy to follow and my family was on board, which made it easier. The workout classes were also very convenient as they had multiple classes throughout the day that would fit any working persons schedule. If you are looking to lose any extra weight or just learn how to chose more healthier eating choices than Fitmo is the place for you. Thank you, Johnny

If you want to change yourself, this is the perfect place! The team of coaches is amazing, very supportive and friendly. They will kick your butt if it's needed, too. Thanks to these best trainers I lost 8 lbs, 6 inches off hips and 1.5 inch off waist in only 6 weeks! I'm very grateful for the opportunity I got at this place and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to transform their body and soul! 5 stars!!!

Thank you for not only changing my body amazingly in 6 weeks, but for changing my life completely :)

An older customer directed racist language and derogatory comments toward another member, and the situation escalated quickly. At one point, I felt that the older man's behavior became threatening, by saying what he would do to the black guy after he responded to him for speaking down to him. When the black guy said your mama, after being called a slur, I was sure things were way past fixing. The interaction felt hostile rather than respectful or appropriate for a gym environment. When the other member stood up and responded, the older man left to speak with management. From what I observed, it appeared management may have taken the older man's side without fully understanding what was happening. I've also seen this same customer act rudely toward others in the past, particularly around personal space and how he interacts with members waiting for or using equipment. I'm reporting this because threats and racist conduct have no place in a fitness facility. I have experienced it also but I hope management takes complaints seriously, investigates thoroughly, and ensures members feel safe.

I haven't taken classes with the weekday mornings' instructors but I'm sure they are really good too! They teach classes where students are at different fitness levels and attitudes too lol. The instructors do an amazing job of correcting your form, providing modifications (always ask if something starts to hurt), and they also push you harder, especially if they have seen you in previous classes. My twin sister was in town and joined me last minute to a class with Angela! She's amazing, tough and nice enough to take a picture with us! My twin loved the class so much that she's looking into joining her local LA Fitness. My favorite part is the stretching leg circles & frog with the ropes at the end of class. I definitely come to class for "me" time and to shut the noise of work and the world.

Some adjustment mechanisms are so rusted that they get stuck, making it impossible to set the machine to the correct position. This isn't just inconvenient--it's a safety hazard. The cardio equipment is also in bad shape. You'll often clean a machine before using it, only to find out it's out of order. Several of the screens are loose, outdated, or barely functional. For the amount members pay, the gym should invest in maintaining and replacing worn-out equipment. A fitness center should be clean, safe, and have working machines. Unfortunately, this location feels neglected and in desperate need of repairs and upgrades.

If you're visiting with the 5-day free pass, I highly recommend entering through this entrance because it can be a little confusing to find the gym since it's located underneath the UTC mall. One great perk is that 24 Hour Fitness validates an additional two hours of parking on top of UTC's free one-hour parking, giving you a total of three hours to work out and even do a little shopping afterward. This was actually my first time ever visiting a 24 Hour Fitness. Since I live so close to UTC, I've always wanted to check it out, especially because it's open 24 hours. I originally signed up for the free 5-day trial, but after taking a quick tour, the salesperson was incredibly friendly and even gave me $15 off the regular membership price. That made it an easy decision to sign up. I'm a pretty low-maintenance gym person, so all I really care about is having a clean, spacious gym with plenty of equipment, and this location definitely delivers. There are lots of free weights, machines, and plenty of equipment for both upper and lower body workouts. I also love that they offer cycling classes and are adding Pilates classes soon, which is a huge bonus. My only real complaint is that it can get very crowded during peak hours, especially in the mornings and evenings. Luckily, I work remotely, so I have the flexibility to go during off-peak times when it's much less busy. If you have a flexible schedule, I think you'll have a much better experience. Another feature I really enjoy is the recovery amenities. They have both a sauna and a steam room, which are perfect after a tough workout. My membership only costs $47 a month, which is honestly much cheaper than some of the smaller boutique gyms I've belonged to before. It also includes a guest buddy pass, making it easy to bring a friend along. Overall, I've had a great experience with this 24 Hour Fitness. While it can get crowded during busy times, the spacious facility, wide variety of equipment, group fitness classes, recovery amenities, convenient location, and affordable membership make it a gym I would definitely recommend trying.

They don't just focus on helping you work out, they genuinely care about your overall health and well-being, which is something I haven't experienced at many gyms. Before joining, I had only ever done cardio, so strength training was brand new to me. I was a little intimidated at first about the idea of strength training , but from day one, they made the whole process feel approachable. They don't just tell you what to do, they explain the science behind the exercises, why you're doing them, and help you progress at your own pace. Their goal isn't to compare you to anyone else, but simply to help you become a stronger version of yourself. After training here for several years, I'm not only physically stronger, but I actually understand what I'm doing in the gym. I've learned proper form, when it's okay to push myself, and when it's smarter to hold back instead of ego lifting. One thing I really appreciate about Jon is that he wants people to become independent. He teaches you how to work out correctly so that if you're traveling or can't make it to the gym, you still have the knowledge and confidence to continue exercising safely on your own. That mindset says a lot about how much he genuinely wants his members to succeed. The community here is another reason I love this gym. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and supportive, making it a place you actually look forward to coming back to. Something else that really stands out is that they never make you feel like they're trying to sell you something. During a difficult period in my life, Jon was incredibly understanding. He encouraged me to take the time I needed instead of making me feel guilty for missing workouts. When I was dealing with a shoulder issue, he modified my workouts, had me skip certain exercises, and made sure I used lighter weights so I could recover safely without pushing myself too hard. That level of care is something I truly appreciate, and it's a big reason I've stayed here for so many years. And of course, I have to give a shout-out to Adri, she's an absolute sweetheart! I genuinely love everything about this gym and couldn't recommend it more.
