A fun and unique brewery in Louisville! I have tried many beers here over the years, but my current favorite is the "Mango- Colada Sour! This brewery is in a wonderful location, pop over to the antique mall or grab some pizza on your way out. The brewery has a great selection of board games, cozy atmosphere, and always quick service. The AC was blasting, which was a big relief with the blazing temperature outside. Highly recommend stopping in, especially if you like fruity sour beers.

Beer was excellent and was a fun vibe. Games were available for play and many different types of beers to try. My favorite was the berry hug sour.

    Short pour.

I'll cut the guy a little slack because I heard him say that he doesn't usually work there, but my first pour was about 4 ozs short. Fill it up man. Then my next pour was a sour and I just wasn't sure about it. It tasted like wine. I enjoyed sitting out in the little courtyard area. Wasn't overwhelmed enough to return. There's some really good breweries in Louisville, this one needs to step up their game.

    Gluten free beer flight

First of all, Butchertown Brewing is the only brewery in Louisville with multiple gluten free beer options. And from the look of their social media, they have a constant rotation of brews. As someone with celiacs, I haven't had beer in over 8 years, so this was super exciting. The bartender was really nice in explaining what I should expect from each drink on the flight, which I appreciated since I really don't know anything about beer. My favorite was the raspberry sour. It was the least sweet of the four of them, and according to my fiancé who is a regular beer drinker, definitely tasted the most like beer. It was sweet, but also tangy and slightly hoppy. I would definitely buy a full glass of the raspberry sour. Overall vibe here was good! Lots of people, tvs with various sports, & lots of board game options! I will be back for sure!

One of Louisville's newest breweries located in Butchertown. I got to try them at the beer fest at Frazier Museum back this past summer and I was just in love. I happened to be around the area and decided to check the place out. They are only open on Saturday's as of now. They are located in where Mellwood Art center is. It was kinda tricky to find so I had to use their map that was posted. They are on the 2nd floor across from where Danny Macs Pizza is. It is fairly small on the inside and very limited bar seating. I got to try their Pumpkin Pie beer and I liked it very much. There were only 3 beers on tap at the time of my visit. I also got to talk to the bartender and learned about the place some and he was an awesome host. Although this is a very small brewery I do hope to see them grow and be as big as the other breweries in town. I do plan on returning when I'm in the area.

I haven't been into the brewery yet but I snagged a beer at an event they had a tent set up at. I had their pumpkin cider, and it was really tasty. Not an overpowering pumpkin taste at all... it was really well-balanced! Being a lover of pumpkin and a lover of ciders, this was perfect! I will 100% be visiting the brewery in the near future.

Was able to order food from next door. Service and ambiance were awesome. Our concert got cancelled, so we ended up hanging out here most of the evening. Great beer!! Very cool place.

Danny Macs pizza it was really good!

Ingenius variety of beers ranging from tropical like fruit punch or Pina colada flavored to banana or berry sours to pilsners to chocolate coconut stout! Also gluten free beers offered. I think they are dog friendly. It's a nice space both inside and outdoor seating as well as a great pizza restaurant and vegan restaurant right next door. I wish I lived there to try all of the different flavors they have coming out all the time.

It's creative with a sense of joy, irreverent, one of a kind. And I'm happy to see it last in its spot next to Slugger Field. I got to visit recently when a bunch of friends were in town. We ended up visiting during trivia night, which added a fun twist to the experience. Our team, The Electric Sheep, got second place! And along with the fun vibes, we had great food and beer. I got The Smokehouse OG, which is its pulled pork sandwich served on a Cuban roll. If you like pulled pork, you'll like this sandwich, though typical to their fashion, AtG puts a twist on it with its Brown Note BBQ Sauce. We had to get the pork belly on a stick -- a menu fave. And for my beer, I tried the El Nopal Mexican lager (cracked up at the name) and Cold Ass Beer red ale. AtG is a Louisville original that's not to be overlooked.

I got the burger in special, the Dirty Burger. Pretty standard burger dressed with their "not so secret" sauce and fancy pickle. Super solid, very well executed. In the words of Samuel L. Jackson, this is a tasty burger! The location is pretty tough to beat with how convenient it is, and how close it is to all downtown has to offer. The atmosphere is industrial but relaxed. The staff was so wonderful and personable. Will definitely be back!

The smoked whitefish pate is outstanding and always a great starter. The look and feel of Monnik always reminds me of a cottage in the mountains and after spending time inside it's so easy to get lost and forget where you're at. As for the service it's always top notch and helpful. I've spent countless hours at the bar asking about different styles of beer and what makes them special. We had a couple cocktails in here and the service was excellent even though it appeared they were filled to capacity. I had The Holy Ghost cocktail and it was a pomegranate hibiscus sour, it had just the right amount of sour! I do not like bitter drinks and this one was good and easy to drink. My husband had a couple of dark beers, I do not remember which ones but he liked them. They had a nice outdoor area but it was a bit too cool for that but it may be worth a return in the Spring to check it out. Bathroom was also really cool as the decor and theme spilled over into it. We will be back.
