Stopped into Falls City Brewing for a quick drink and ended up staying for over an hour. We didn't try the food from their partner, Parlour Pizza, but we did sample a few beers: the Falls City Light, LouCity, and the traditional Pilsner. If you're into IPAs, I'd recommend the LouCity -- it has hop-forward profile without being overpowering. That said, I'm not that into hoppy beer and the standout for us was the classic Pilsner. Crisp, clean, and easy to drink -- definitely our favorite of the bunch. The bartender was great -- super friendly and happy to talk about the beers, which always adds to the experience. That said, the overall vibe was a little off. It was a Saturday and the place was completely dead. We sat outside in what I'd call a beer garden, but we were the only ones there for over an hour. It just felt oddly quiet for a weekend. The outdoor space also looked like it needed a bit of attention -- some trash around, a patio umbrella lying on the ground, and just an overall need for a quick cleanup. Another small surprise: the gift shop/merch area was closed, which seemed like a missed opportunity on a weekend when people are more likely to stop in and potentially grab something. All in all, not a bad experience by any means -- the beer and service were solid -- but it felt like the place had more potential than what we saw. With a little more attention to atmosphere and upkeep, it could be a great spot.

On the night we went the temps outside were in the 70's and they were playing the new Hocus Pocus movie which I thought was pretty cool. The inside is decorated pretty cool and the bar is located inside the back door, down the stairs and around the corner. The bartender was super nice each time we requested additional beers. We had the cider and the sour and both were awesome. The don't serve food so we had pizza delivered from a pizza place nearby. We sat outside on picnic tables but they did have chairs around a fire element someone else was using. If I lived locally this would be a go to spot for me! I really enjoyed hanging out at this establishment.

We stopped in here after 502 winery. They are in the same building, and the beers were pretty good. They have a cool atmosphere and some games to play as well.

Had a small private event for your last night and they were very cordial and very helpful! All different types of beer. Something for everyone! I tried a couple different ones. Patio Weather - loved it! Watermelon something that was really good too!

The Kitchen at Falls City Brewing Co. probably isn't going to win any major culinary awards but the fries are really the perfect consistency of a crunchy outside and a soft inside. And the smash burger's patty has a great char-grill taste with the right amount of saltiness to it which is nicely complemented with the special sauce that's served on the side. I enjoyed my food and beverages in the beer garden because it was a beautiful afternoon but the inside is also a great place to enjoy a draft beer with two friends or twenty (maybe call ahead if you've got 20 others joining you, they might want to set you up with the side room ). I love that Falls City always offers up a wide variety of craft beers. If you're a hophead, there's the Hipster Repellent IPA but there's also a solid classic Pilsner, smoked beer, golden ale, Kölsch, stout, and more that rotate through. All great beers, served as they're supposed to be.

Stopped here on a day of exploring the cities breweries! My dad always talked about Falls City from his childhood, so was fun to see how it has progressed! Great location to downtown, we walked from Market street, enjoyed a flight and a pint after! Really loved everything and the wonderful outdoor seating! Bartender was very interesting too! Highly recommend, and I will be back again!

Never let's us down! Was able to grab a drink with my wife and friends while playing "twister" and "trouble" with my nieces! Only thing missing was their kitchen BUT the bartender mentioned they only have one more piece of equipment to purchase for the kitchen and they will be open soon, so that problem will be solved very shortly! HOWEVER-they compensate for that by allowing outside food in! Oh and dogs

I don't know that this is the best brewery in the city, but it's gotta be in the conversation. Their regular beers are all pretty dang solid. Big fan of the pilsner and the Street Lamp. The Street Lamp is really delicious, in fact. I went on a brewery tour, where they talked about how they make the beer, but also discussed the history of Falls City itself, how Falls City used to be a major player in the beer world once upon a time. They even discussed how Falls City fell from graces in the 70s, and when it was dormant in the 90s. Pretty neat, honestly. Look. These guys know what they're doing. And they're all super friendly. Furthermore, the drinking room is gorgeous. Whoever they hired to refurbish their building did it correctly. Very cozy and welcoming. I could easily see myself spending hours up there just chatting and having a good time with friends. Once the food goes in next door, that is going to be a game changer for this place. Food + beer = HEAVEN ON EARTH. Thank you, Falls City, for brewing tasty alcohol for my enjoyment.

    Chill day and night.

Fun and spacious establishment for craft beers. Really enjoy their bock beer and the street lamp porter. Love their outdoor beer garden.

There's just something about Against the Grain that takes me back to my first years in Louisville…read more It embodies that weird, wonderful Louisville spirit. It's creative with a sense of joy, irreverent, one of a kind. And I'm happy to see it last in its spot next to Slugger Field. I got to visit recently when a bunch of friends were in town. We ended up visiting during trivia night, which added a fun twist to the experience. Our team, The Electric Sheep, got second place! And along with the fun vibes, we had great food and beer. I got The Smokehouse OG, which is its pulled pork sandwich served on a Cuban roll. If you like pulled pork, you'll like this sandwich, though typical to their fashion, AtG puts a twist on it with its Brown Note BBQ Sauce. We had to get the pork belly on a stick -- a menu fave. And for my beer, I tried the El Nopal Mexican lager (cracked up at the name) and Cold Ass Beer red ale. AtG is a Louisville original that's not to be overlooked.

I got the burger in special, the Dirty Burger. Pretty standard burger dressed with their "not so secret" sauce and fancy pickle. Super solid, very well executed. In the words of Samuel L. Jackson, this is a tasty burger! The location is pretty tough to beat with how convenient it is, and how close it is to all downtown has to offer. The atmosphere is industrial but relaxed. The staff was so wonderful and personable. Will definitely be back!
