I've been going to this nail salon for almost a year now and have had over 5 nail sets so thought it'd be time to write a review! Parking: There is an underground lot you can park in off Olympic. It does get full quickly though so just be prepared! I always book with Jenny! She is very friendly, professional and talented! Every set I've shown her, she's been able to recreate! My nails have grown so much from going to her to the point where I don't need extensions! Never did I think that it would be achievable! The gels are also really high quality. They last me up to 2 months and probably more (I know it's not recommended to wait so long but I time my new sets with when I travel). The salon itself is cute and the space/design was very intentional. I appreciate that they also give you snacks and ask you what drink you'd like! They have iPads at each station so you can have entertainment throughout your appointment! This is my go to salon in the area! Booking is easy through their site as well! Highly recommend :)

Buttercup by Haru is by far the best in LA. The customer service is TOP TIER and Haru is SO nice. She goes above and beyond for her clients. She makes us feel so safe and welcome. I booked a lash perm point with her for my cousin and she said she felt so beautiful. I highly recommend if you want to feel like royalty. She is SO sweet. She even offered if any of the lashes fell off before her trip, for us to come back so she can fix. She truly is the best. Also the place is so pretty and relaxing. AND you get to sit in a master chair. 10/10 would do the service again.

I came here twice for gel nails. First experience with MJ was good. Liked the design and overall details (although the gel is too thick for my personal preference). Second time was with Jenny for gel mani and MJ for gel pedi. Gel french tip was the same price as a simple design gel $120 and for that amount, the detail was lacking. Felt very rushed as it was done in about 30 mins. Still tipped 20% on $120 gel mani + $100 gel pedi, but probably wouldn't revisit. They take credit cards but has a surcharge of 7% (not legal in CA) which is a lil extreme. They persuade you to pay via zelle/venmo or cash.

I loved my nails from here! The front desk lady was so nice and gave me and my friend snacks + drinks. She also knitted a cute smiley face and gave us one each--she made the experience so much brighter! There was also an ipad available for viewing shows. I thought the interior was pretty and relaxing as well. I got my nails done from Haru and I think she did really well! We tweaked the inspo pic a bit but overall, I feel like my nails were shaped and prepped very well along with a meticulous color match in comparison to the inspo pic. The price was $90 which I think is reasonable for the quality work done. I would definitely come back!

Went in for my bridal mani and pedi today and i felt so pampered by Haru & MJ. They were both so accommodating and made me feel comfortable throughout my appointment. At one point, they had me sit on the reclining chair so that i could have my mani and pedi done at the same time. Haru's attention to detail really impressed me, as she checked each of my nails at different angles while she worked on them. I was also amazed by how quickly MJ was able to do my pedi as it came out perfectly! I don't often get my nails done because i work in healthcare, but i see myself splurging here again~

I got my nails done by MJ and she did an amazing job to recreate the design I wanted. I went in for a gel manicure and had a shorter nail on one of my fingers because the nail broke, but she improvised the design so that I didn't need to get extensions. She really has an eye for detail and made sure in each step that the design was to my liking. Their customer service is top tier, and I would come back again.

When I say I'm obsessed... I mean it!!! Jenny did an amazing job with my set (I can't stop looking at it!), the owner is SO sweet and friendly, and the salon itself is soooo pretty and cozy - I could stay in there forever! Truly a girly heaven and so well conceived. I really can't wait to come back! I had a Korean-style gel manicure in Asia and have been searching for a nail place in LA with a similar technique for gel overlay and nail art. After a bit of a search, I found Buttercup by Haru via IG and came in a few days later for a gel manicure. I brought in inspo pictures and Jenny and I collaborated on which nail would have what, and she brought me colors to choose from. In the end, I got exactly what I wanted - a super cute blush set with sparkles, stars, gems, glitter, all encapsulated with Korean gel to give my flat nail beds some shape and protect the nail art. I love it so so much and was so impressed with the technique and the quality of the products used (I'm pretty sure she used all well known Korean gels, brands like Yogurt Nail, Jin.B, and Izemi, which not every nail salon has!) There's an iPad at every station so you can watch Netflix, and I was also served coffee and a little pastry snack. There are plenty of plants, cute furniture, and you can tell the whole salon was really well thought out and designed. Just such a pleasant and comfortable space On top of everything, Jenny and the owner were so friendly and accommodating from start to finish, which just left me feeling so good inside and out! I know I'll be coming back again and again, and am SO happy a salon like this exists near me in LA.

Love this place! There is free parking (which is rare in LA) super easy to make appointment (online), so many color choices to choose from, & it's such a cute clean vibe inside. The service was super quick! It only took an hour for my nails (hard gel).

Absolutely obsessed. I was so excited to find out that buttercup by Haru was expanding to LA! Given that I live in OC but work in downtown, I was happy to know I could have the option to go to either location depending on my schedule. This location is also modern and clean with parking located in the structure connected. As always, Haru provided excellent service and beautiful nails. I came in for my design gel nails and lash extensions and boy was I in for a treat. I had my nails and lashes done at the SAME time in the most comfortable reclining chair. Both Haru and the lady who did my lashes were so gentle that I fell asleep. It was the best feeling to wake up to my perfect fun and funky nails and my hybrid lashes. What I love most about Haru is her attention to detail and also the fact that my nails and nail art last forever. If you're someone still getting regular gel, please do yourself a favor and try out Korean gel. You will not be disappointed by the quality and the talented people here doing them :)

This was my second time coming to buttercup by haru and I think I found my all time favorite nail salon. The salon itself is so pretty and they make you feel so welcomed. They also have free parking!! I got my nails done by jenny and she was so nice, detailed, and gentle with my nails. I was very indecisive of what set to get, but she was so patient with me and made sure I was happy with the results. They offered me coffee and snacks, and they also had an Ipad at every station so that you can watch netflix while getting your nails done! It was my first time getting gel extensions / gel X and she was very informative about the process and ensured the shape / length was perfect. They had so many color choices, including very on trend Korean jelly polishes. There's a little surface lot where the salon is located, and parking wasn't an issue when I went on Saturday. Highly recommend this salon, and I would definitely come back myself!

Wendy is an absolute magician when it comes to eyelash extensions! My lashes always look beautiful, and my confidence has gone through the roof since I started seeing her over a year ago. I would recommend this place. I have been coming here for the last few months. I've had MJ to do my gel manicure with design. MJ is amazing. She works with me to get the design that I want. She is gentle and very nice to talk to. Place has parking. I usually go on a weekday and never had problem with parking. Chill vibe. read more

super quaint and cute studio. loved my experience with karen - she recreated the designs i wanted flawlessly and i can't stop looking at my nails. super personable, efficient, and showed me the different shades that they offered. love the two-week guarantee on the nails. mine held up fine even with lots of using of my hands. the ipads at each station were a nice touch and the sweet treat at the end. highly recommend and can't wait to be back. read more

I've been going to their Fullerton location for over two years and it was worth for me to drive all the way to OC even though I live in LA area. I'm very happy that I don't need to drive far to get THE BEST nails around. Haru, my nail artist, she's very professional and always make sure that I truly like the designs. If it's not what you were imagining then she'd willing to change it for you. Something else I like is that my nails last over 4 weeks and stay strong. I've been referring this salon to all my friend. And they couldn't be happier. I know looking for a new nail salon is hard. Trust me this place will earn your business;) read more

The burning throughout the entire procedure caused such pain and my eyes to tear through the entire time. That has never happened in my 5 years of lashes. The pain was unbearable but I pushed through. She later explained to me she places extensions under the lashes rather than on top as most lash people. And she shared that people who visit her complain of irritation. She never said that at beginning My lashes looked horrible, they looked plastic and very stiff. They felt uncomfortable for at least 3 days. I noticed when I went home there were clumps of many extensions attached to 1 lash and so messy with so much glue that I was never able to comb them as I do daily. Many of my lashes were folded and glued onto other clumps . The worst experience in my life. I went back to my original lady and told me there were definitely NOT classic and damaged a few of my lashes . Please do your research. I don't know how they have such good reviews. Judy's suite is so cute and cozy, and it smelled so nice too! We discussed the type of lash extension style that I like and we opted for the hybrid round style because I like them long and voluminous. I had some minor stinging from the glue fumes, but Judy made sure to dry them and repeatedly ask if there's any discomfort. My lashes turned out great. It's been 5 days and there's been very minimal fallout. Note that BYL is very strict with their 3-week refill policy from what I was told. If you don't get a fill before the 3-week timeframe, then you're automatically charged for a new set next time.

The elder woman also tried to scam me by selling me a 50$ black conditioning serum, and claimed that it's way better than any other serum on the market. Stay away.

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

Jenny did an amazing job on my nails! I absolutely love how they turned out - the quality of her work speaks for itself. It's been a few weeks since my appointment and I still can't stop staring at them. The fact that they still look this good after three weeks is a testament to Jenny's skill. I also loved the chill vibe at the salon, and the iPad was a nice touch that made the experience even more relaxing. One small note for future clients: while you can see the starting price on the Vagaro site, I was a bit shocked at the final price at checkout. If you're thinking about adding embellishments or extras, definitely ask about pricing upfront so there are no surprises. That said, the quality of Jenny's work was worth every penny.
