Nonetheless, I also love how cute, quiet and *clean* it is inside! Tina Nail is small so I'd recommend an appointment. There are a few pedicure chairs and they use elegant bowls for pedicures. Additionally, there's about 3 nail desks, but at least there are couches and a nice, big screen tv for waiting. The price is on par with the cost of nail salons in LA and I'm impressed by the technique and tools used. I think patrons forget that aside from a nail technician's creativity for nail art, she needs the right tools! And Tina has them. I give Tina 4.5 stars and here's why: small detail - there's a ton of colors to choose from, but we as customers can't access them and pick them out for ourselves. We have to tell the technician what color we want and they pick out a few to show us. I'd rather evaluate colors myself. A first for me. The other detail - and why I've moved on to another salon is that I typically get a gelx manicure: the two times I've gotten this service done, the gelx popped off a finger (or two) after 1-2 weeks. That means, I need to run back and get it corrected, which is more time and money I don't care to spend (I've been able to have my gelx stay on (and get refills) for more than a 2 weeks elsewhere). I first came here about 7-8 years ago through a friend, and after they moved to a new location, I came back a few times but didn't quite feel the same. I think it's because I wasn't seeing the same person. Today, I had my nails done by Ria (the owner), and I absolutely loved it. I have very thin nails, so my nails usually don't last long. It always felt like a waste of money, and I would wait months in between appointments until my nails got stronger again. But Ria really took the time to look at my nail condition and even mixed different products to make them last longer that gave me so much trust in her work. They use good quality products too, I have very thin/bad/flaky nails but with NK they stay healthy and unbroken. The nail techs will also help you with color choice and design ideas, and will tell you the price ahead of time when you ask. I moved recently and now I drive an hour each way to get my NK manicures, but it's worth it!!
