    Honey Hush Signature Biscuit
    Brianna R.

The service is friendly (as expected anywhere in TX tbh) and the ambiance is super cute! The decor is modern and the space is very bright. It's a counter service place with lots of seating. The biscuits are so good! I could eat just those with butter and honey. The butter tasted like a high quality one as well. My main issue was the chicken. It wasn't fried crispy enough, so the texture was sort of rubbery. I cook often and I think it was the oil - probably wasn't hot enough. If I were to go back, I would ask them to fry the chicken extra crispy.

Decided to give this place a try while visiting Amarillo after seeing Yelp reviews. It was quite good. Unfortunately they didn't have any clean knives available so I struggled to eat my chicken fried steak.

Served family style just pick your own protein. I selected bacon and friend selected chicken tenders.

Service was wonderful! The server explained how it was served. She was very attentive and made sure we were good and drinks full!

On my first visit, the food was very good. My only issue is that it was not served hot. Lukewarm to be exact. They were quite busy at the time so that's potentially why it was not served warm. The food was still good enough to warrant a second visit. When I returned I ordered the same dish. Biscuit with gravy, eggs, and sausage patties. This time it was served warm and was very tasty. To drink I ordered one of their Bloody Mary's. I got the one with all the garnishes including bacon. The bacon tasted off to me. I'm not saying it's a food safety issue, but I didn't eat the bacon. Each time I've gone it's been pretty good. Good enough to go back. I just don't recommend the bacon in your drink.

This place is great, we stopped in here on our way through Amarillo during a road trip. The food was really high quality, you could tell it was made from scratch. My husband and I shared the hot honey. The chicken was perfectly fried and seasoned. The pickles were a nice touch and added more flavor. The hot honey was delicious and had a unique spice to it. The side of bacon was excellent quality, not too fatty and it was thick cut. The only thing we would change is to maybe have the hot honey on the side instead of on top of the whole thing. It soaked the biscuit quickly and we couldn't use our forks very well because of it. It made for sticky hands but the flavor was worth it!

So many great reviews on this location! Alas this won't be one of them. We went based on reviews mentioning sanitizing between tables and social distancing rules being enforced. Neither were obviously being observed today. The employees were all wearing masks, but it was a total zoo otherwise. It was so loud and crowded, that the screaming babies thrown into the mix were just overkill. I think the script writer is just phoning it in at this point. The food wasn't great. It was more like mediocre at best. You would think a place called Buttermilk Biscuits would be able to do a decent biscuit but err, not so much here. I couldn't decide whether to eat it or throw it through the window of a nearby donut shop so I could report a crime against humanity to the cops inside.

Super cute spot in the middle of America lol! Who knew? Love Route 66 spots. Location is amidst the town. Parking is easy as it's in a large plaza. Service was good they're super nice and love traveling visitors. They have a bar and a TV to catch those important games on your road trip. Plenty of seating. Good for groups. You order at the counter get a number and the food comes to you. Tons of options but not much for pescatarians, vegetarians and vegans are outta luck. The regular biscuits are great, blueberry is their thing. Got the breakfast bowl with no meat no jalapeños and added avocado.

If you love homemade biscuits you'll love these! My friend had the Texas Club she loved it. I had the Rancheros it was good. Atmosphere is nice, the bar is nice too.

Butterlove was our favorite meal in Amarillo! It was so hard to decide what to get, everything sounded great. Ultimately I got the honey hush, husband got the hot mess, and we shared the loaded tots, Nashville tots, and cinnamon sugar tots. Biscuit sandwich portions are large. Don't expect to eat the biscuit like a sandwich. Definitely and knife and fork place. The biscuit itself was really soft and fluffy. Chicken was great (they said it is a 5 Oz breast). Tots were all great. Just enough spice on the Nashville tots and the cinnamon sugar tots were a great dessert. We are counting the days until our next visit to Amarillo to try more from the Butterlove menu.

They welcome people here as if everyone is family. They have a large parking lot. They have indoor and outside sitting areas. So the process here is you go through the line and place your order they start with the proteins first then the sides with bread pickles and onions last. They cut and weigh the meats in front of you so you see what you are getting on your tray. You pay at the end and you get your tray of food after a short wait. Saturday is $16.00 a lb Beef Ribs. No hold on the ribs so get there early as the beef ribs are delicious and worth getting in line early for. We got brisket which was a 10/10. We got the beef ribs some to eat there and 1 to bring home to Houston 10/10. We also got the sausage 11/10 it was spicy as we got jalapeño cheddar and the black peppercorn. We also got PORK BELLY WITH BERRY CHIPOTLE which was 10/10. Everything here was delicious and so memorable. They make their own pickles so make sure you get some of the delicious homemade pickles! We tried the potato salad, coleslaw, jalapeño cream corn and the pinto beans. All the sides were good but the cream corn was the best. I highly recommend you make a trip to Tyler's BBQ.

We also had the moist brisket which was outstanding. Pork belly was a smash hit with the distinctive smoke flavor and just right sweetness. The sleeper surprise was the house-made black peppercorn and jalapeno cheese sausage. The staff and service is so friendly and patient with our order. The first time we went to Tyler's was in 2018 when they hit the Texas Monthly To 50 BBQ list. We were pleasantly surprised on this second visit. Tyler moved locations in 2019 to a much larger location with ample parking and good seating capacity. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the wonderful memorabilia on the walls. Bonus is the restrooms were very clean. The coolest part of the trip was meeting up with Tyler Frazer again. In 2018, my wife and I finished visting all 50 TM BBQ joints at Tyler's. When Tyler learned that he was so gracious to invite me for a pit tour. He commemorated that trip with a TM BBQ pin that featured several other pit masters from that issue that I proudly still have. This trip, we got there around 9:00am as we drove in from a BBQ run in Lubbock and were worried that we may be fighting the Route 66 100 year anniversary crowd that had taken over Amarillo. Luckily, we beat the crowd. Though Tyler's doesn't open until 11am, Tyler opened the gate for me to rest at the picnic area and we talked for 5+ minutes even though he had a lot of prep work to do before opening. Later on, he came to our table and talked with us and told stories for another 15 minutes. That alone made the whole experience unforgettable. Bottom line, Tyler Frazer is the GOAT, a Texas BBQ rockstar in my book. He is the epitome of Texas BBQ hospitality and a pioneering voice of celebrating Texas BBQ and small businesses. We always look forward to his reels on Instagram as he welcomes the day with a weather report thoughts for the day from Amarillo. My hats off to you Tyler! Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing next time.

If you are looking for white tablecloths, subtle lighting, or a quiet place to whisper sweet…read morenothings, keep driving past Coyote Bluff Cafe (often locally called the "Coyote Bluu" or simply "The Bluff") in Amarillo, Texas. But if your idea of culinary heaven involves a grease-stained paper liner, an old-school Texas roadhouse vibe, and a burger that requires structural support, you have arrived at the right place. Nestled just a few blocks off Interstate 40 in a historic, diminutive former dance hall moved wholesale from neighboring Claude, Texas, Coyote Bluff is tiny. With only about 12 tables packed into its 1,000 square feet, the atmosphere is alive with a loud, friendly hum, a dirt parking lot, and a vintage bathtub floating full of ice and cold beer bottles. The place is amazing!!!! The unique steaming process is really amazing. You have to try the chili cheese fries to go with it. The menu keeps its focus tight, centering around half-pound patties of lean Texas ground beef cooked to order. While traditional options like the Hickory Burger and the Green Chili Cheese Burger are stellar, the undisputed heavyweight titleholder here is the legendary Burger from Hell. I had to try it, my wife opted for the Chicken Fried Steak. Many approach the "Hell Burger" with great trepidation, expecting it to be more of a gimmick built strictly on painful, mouth-numbing heat. Instead, it offers a beautifully layered flavor profile. The beef patty with Tabasco and their proprietary "Coyote Hell Sauce," then smothers it in gooey melted cheese, grilled onions, and fresh, vibrant sautéed jalapeños. It arrived on a toasted onion bun, it lands a solid 7 out of 10 on the heat scale. But rather than scorching your palate, it wraps it in a vinegary, spicy, deeply savory warmth. This place also serves up classic, heavy-hitting Texas roadhouse appetizers: Each of these are amazing sides and are worth of mentioning, First the Cheese Fries with Green Chiles, which I had with my burger and my wife had with her Chicken fried steak, it is served on a massive aluminum platter, these fresh-cut fries are heavily blanketed in melted cheese and mild green chiles. They are a mandatory companion to the burgers.  Other appetizers worth of note, are the Texas Red Chili & Green Chili Stew: The thick, hearty green chili stew is packed with meat and mild green peppers, offering a wonderful warming comfort, especially during cool Panhandle days.  and any of the Fried options ranging from baskets of battered fried pickles, garlic mushrooms, and stuffed jalapeños. Because everything is cooked to order and the dining room is incredibly compact, expect a wait during lunch rushes or weekends. However, that time spent waiting in the dirt lot among locals and passing road-trippers is part of the charm. Coyote Bluff Cafe doesn't try to be anything other than a spectacular, small-town Texas burger joint, and it executes that identity flawlessly. This is a MUST Stop in Texas

Worst instance now making me leave this review...and not coming back. Started off just standing waiting to be seated, not even in the door because of a group of people. Said they were a big party made sense why it may be hard to get in. Should of just left then. Lackluster attention from staff for everyone that came in after that group. Saw one couple even immediately be seated though after waiting 20 min with 3 people ahead of us and another group behind. (Happened to know the waitress apparently) Saw one table just up and leave due to being ignored and waiting on ticket to the point they left some cash and up and left in a very bad mood. Got told multiple times a 10-15 min wait due to tables needing cleaned off. There were 4 open tops that were empty throughout restaurant, the whole time and then another 3 opened up while waiting. Then was told 20-30 min wait due to the kitchen being backed up. At that point we just up and left combined with the VIP treatment of people being able to skip ahead of not 1 or 2 but 4 other groups of only 2 to 4 people with at least 5 or 6 open tables. I don't leave reviews often and do for great experiences and bad experiences this was one of the worst. The waitresses were clueless high school or 20 somethings not wanting to actively work and instead argue over whose fault it was a table left or why people would have their name written down and instead would leave due to the treatment of even just being seated, but somehow it's the kitchens fualt. 10/10 do not recommend and don't bother.
