They are very professional, knowledgeable, and did a tremendous job on both design and installation. The team was extremely thorough, responsive, and worked very hard in putting together a greatly improved irrigation solution. No Show and Lied…read more Back in March, I called the company's phone number to schedule a spring start-up service for my existing system--an easy job. The voicemail directed me to text the number for a faster response, which I did. In the text exchange that followed, I was scheduled for the service on May 1 between 8am and 12pm. The day arrives, and by 11am I had not heard anything, so I texted back just to confirm I was on the schedule. No response. I called the phone number, there was no answer, so I left a detailed voicemail. No response. I then followed up at 1:40pm with a screenshot of the text exchange from March when the service was scheduled. I then got a prompt reply re-confirming that I was still on the schedule for the day, and that he would check on the location of the technicians. I heard nothing further. Tried called again. No response. Texted again at 3:30pm asking for updates. No response. Texted again at 4:11pm. No response. Multiple additional phone calls went straight to voicemail. The company never showed. I had to make arrangements to work from home so this service could be performed. The appointment was confirmed over a month in advance and re-confirmed the day of the appointment. Now, I have to find another vendor, make alternate work arrangements again, and will be delayed in getting my lawn irrigated this season. This is a dishonest business practice. It is bad enough to fail to show for a job. But it was made worse by re-confirming the day of the appointment that it was still scheduled, still not showing, and then just ignoring communications by text and phone. There was no excuse for this. If there was some problem on the company's end that required the appointment to be re-scheduled, I would have been reasonable. But instead he just lied and wasted my time. I recommend you do not waste your time or money on this business. Screenshots attached as proof.

This year I had all the issues and failed to reach any manager to escalate my issues. There was a leak at Zone1 and the raised the issue end of Jul. I got the maintenance technician to identify another leak at the joint to the backflow. After a long struggle to get this scheduled and fixed. The crew came, fixed the joint leak and ignored the Zone1 leak. Aug, Sep and now in Oct and still I had to turn off my system because of the continuous leak. I have been calling the office to try to schedule this fix. They came back in Sep with an estimate to fix. Since then I have been trying to tell them, I will pay any amount of money but fix it. Today I called the office trying to reach a manager. Mr. Zach answered the phone and informed me ALL managers are busy in a meeting because they upgrading the system for the PAST TWO MONTHS. I asked for a supervisor, again the same answer that all supervisors are in the field. Mr Zach went even further to state, he KNOWS what the manager will tell me and he is happy to cancel my winterization schedule tomorrow. To be honest with you, I am at a loss of words for such customer service. My lawn is turning yellow over summer because no one cared to service the lawn. More importantly, although I did not even talk about insurance I paid for, offered to pay whatever needed,I am unable to get anyone to put an effort to do. I explained to Mr. Zach over the phone, that his crew when they came and left estimate last time, I was at home, and no they did not knock the door and they left in less than 10 min by just looking at the muddy zone1. Amazingly their estimates kept changing of the root cause, starting with maybe car by mistake drove over the sprinkle, to now leak is under a tree and maybe the pipe got broken by roots. In the end, it looks for me they just checkbox when they come and quickly look to leave with no care to really serve. It is impossible to get someone over the phone to address your issue. -- Update -- Received a termination note :) -- Update -- apparently, the practice is to claim anything, put full-time manager to fix yelp and ignore answering customer complains. Heard from a neighbor it is their common practice upselling insurance and always stall to push for renewing the policy when they fail to fix. Funny how they rendered the issue no reply from my side. Happy to post email communications and video of how their service estimate is done. BBB complaint filed and will take it more to the Department Of Professional and Occupational Regulation for their male business practice. Look at how they are replying to any complaint immediately on yelp, if only they cared to do so by answering phones and emails, they would actually be better.

Calling multiple times, getting a different answer each time I call. I have had them tell me to get services they recommend after they told me to drop down to the lower tiers. They told me they would try to be out within the week. Do you know when they came? 3 months later. Well guess what, I already seeded it myself. Do yourself a favor and find someone else.

Tommy answered all of our questions (and we were a giant pain), walked the property with us numerous times and worked around our schedules. That is and of itself deserves a full star!!! Great for installations. Not so great for service and maintenance. This company did our install…read moreseveral years ago and I have no complaints about that process. It was a good install and has been operating well. My complaint is based on a recent winterization servicing in November of 2024. This is a standard $125 per year service charge. When I turned the water back on this spring, two of the five zones were left in the open state and immediately began spraying water in both zones. Not a huge deal, I was able to find the control box and close the zones myself. The larger issue was two of the five zones and the overflow pipe were leaking water. Within a couple minutes, my control box was full to the brim with water. I had to turn the water back off and bail out the control box with a cup small enough to fit in between the pipes. I was able to open the leaking valves, clean them (full of dirt), and close them up snugly so they stopped leaking. I called the company to report the issues and request a refund or future credit for the poorly performed service. Instead I was offered an appointment with a manager where I might or might not be charged a second $125 fee depending on if they determined the fault to be theirs or mine. I pushed back stating again that all problems were resolved and there was nothing to be fixed. I was told that was the extent of any remedy they could offer. I was not given an opportunity to speak with the manager and there was no real interest in retaining my business. I've terminated my service contract with the company and will not be using them going forward. I would not recommend them for any maintenance or servicing.

While I tend not to leave negative reviews, my recent experience with Hydro Tech has been…read moreunacceptable. For context, Hydro Tech installed my irrigation system roughly 6 years ago and I have used their Winterization Service annually at my residence. I went to schedule online, as I have done every year, and found the online scheduling tool, which lists $160 for a 9-zone system (see screenshot attached), however the date shown in the scheduling options did not have a date I preferred, so I decided to call and schedule. I called and was provided a date range that was more preferred and was told the charges would be $175. When I inquired about the price discrepancy from their scheduling tool, I was told that was incorrect. Once scheduled (and paid), I received an invoice showing a Spring Service with no confirmation of dates on the invoice. I called back to inquire about the incorrect service being schedule and also asked about the price discrepancy. I was transferred to their manager (Elizabeth), who did not seem very motivated to provide any level of service. I also inquired about the price difference and asked if they would honor their online price. I was told they would not. At this point, I decided to request a cancellation and was told this would need to go to their accounting department, and then would need to wait a few weeks to receive a check, despite charging my card a few minutes prior. I was also told I would receive an email with confirmation of cancellation. That was never received and I decided to file a dispute with my credit card company. EDIT: Hydro Tech reached out to me today and I spoke with a wonderful lady named Debbie. She offered an apology and provided confirmation that my credit card had been refunded. She also offered to honor the price of $160 that was shown on the website app, however we did discover there appeared to be an issue with the scheduling app that needed to be corrected. I am updating my original review and appreciate the outreach from Hydro Tech (Debbie in particular). While this was an unfortunate experience, the way this issue was addressed afterwards certainly meets the expectation for a reputable company.

Writing I had a new Hydrawise system installed last summer,…read moreand the experience has been consistently frustrating since day one. Within days of installation, I noticed that while the system indicated it was watering, no actual irrigation was occurring. After contacting support, I was told it was likely a wiring issue. I paid for a service call and had additional work done, including new heads installed in one of my zones. Now, at the start of this season, a new issue has surfaced--Zone 2 remains running simultaneously with Zones 3 through 6, which clearly points to a system or wiring fault. When I reached out for assistance, the response I received was disappointing. Before any inspection or troubleshooting, the representative immediately attributed the issue to lack of winterization and stated I would be charged again. This approach is concerning. As a long-time homeowner with a sprinkler system dating back to 2008, I have never encountered these types of recurring problems until upgrading to this controller. Even more troubling is the readiness to assign blame without first assessing the situation. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service. The lack of accountability and customer-focused support does not align with the expectations for a professional installation and service provider. I would advise others to carefully consider their options before choosing this company.
