Loved the vibe of this place the moment we descended the stairs. In line with Big Cedar's rustic style it's warm and cozy with plentiful seating for small or larger groups. Our server Jeremiah.was entertaining to say the least. He was energetic and quick with the comebacks. He was also attentive in his service. We ordered the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. Our food came out quickly and was just as we ordered. The burger wasn't anything spectacular but it was delicious. Our favorite part was the musical act. The "one man show" was interactive with the crowd and very entertaining. His slap stick humor kept us laughing all night. We definitely intend to go back another night while we are here.

Food was good, the entertainment was even better. This place is one of the few where you can grab a quick meal without reservations. It's a bar so beverages are where they are especially good.

While vacationing at Big Cedar do not neglect to stop at the Buzzard Bar for lunch or dinner. We've had the friendliest servers and the atmosphere is very log-cabinish cool. There is a small amount of outside seating overlooking a pool. The menu includes a nice variety of choices but my two absolute favorites are the Signature Beef Brisket Poutine and the Devils Pool Smokehouse Chili. The Poutine is loaded with a super generous portion of tender brisket smothered with gravy, cheese curds and fries. A meal in itself or a shared appetizer. The bowl of chili is chock full of chunks of tender beef and beans topped with onions and cheese. Best chili ever!

We had such a great time at Buzzard Bar. The food was great, plenty of different cocktails, and fun entertainment. Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive to our group. The atmosphere was so quaint and welcoming.

This place is absolutely hands down perfection. The food was delectable, the environment was lodge cozy, friendly service. The restaurant is part of Big Cedar Lodge development but not the main part, it is off to the side. There is a suspended walking bridge as well as vehicle bridge that is so quaint and beautiful. From the bridge there is a amazing waterfall view as well as the canyon below. Gorgeous. The restaurant is a log cabin, and just teaming with cozy warmth. I love all the finishing touches with the large fireplaces and decor. I came for lunch, was sat that right away, the restaurant wasn't too busy. I sat next to the window with a beautiful view of the lodge next to it and the canyon below. The weather is a bit dreary but it still had a cozy vibe. I ordered the cinnamon toast drink that was warm apple cider with rum. I liked the warmth, was a bit too sweet for my taste. Jay was my server and was the ultimate pro. He was friendly, had great follow-up and was on top of it! Great customer service. I went ahead and splurged and got a few things, knowing that I would be taking the remainder back with me for dinner. I had the deviled eggs, which had pickled eggs, salmon, very tasty. I had a cup of chili which was rich, nice chunks of meat, and a robust flavor. Topped with cheese, this chili does not disappoint! I also got the bar-b+q burger with french fries. This is one of the biggest burgers I've ever had It was topped with brisket, a delicious barbecue sauce, fried jalapenos. So good. The fries were thick and crispy, really nice. This was definitely a fabulous treat and I would highly suggest devil's pool Restaurant for an amazing dining experience!

The poutine was fabulous. The fry coating was crisp and tasty and the gravy was full of flavor. The Reuben sandwich is outstanding! The way they cut that corned beef was nothing short of magic. An egg on there? What? I've never heard of such a thing, but yes please. And I had the brûlée corn; which I may need to learn how to replicate because I've never seen this on any menu in Chicago, but it's too far to travel as often as I'll be thinking about that dish! The old fashions were smooth! Went with vanilla and loved the subtle flavors. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was a delightful mix of old school pub/English castle. All of it was just what I was hoping to find. Food off the beaten path that deserves a huge shout out. In a town of bland flavors, this place shines like a real gem!

Sat in a comfy table with a padded pew close to the bar with our backs to the wall, which instantly put my hyper vigilant husband at ease (IYKUK). Chatted a bit with our kind server who was also a millennial, how do I know this? The eye contact and lovely snarky conversation. My husband ordered his med rare, which probably came out more med and not enough pink for his liking. Correction on my part, I got the mahi mahi with parmesan grits and green beans and I didn't even need to look at my pictures to recall, it was that memorable of a meal. Being early January a parking spot nearby was an easy find, I imagine though finding one come spring will feel like a miracle. I'd love to stay at the attached hotel but found it's already booked a year out. Doesn't surprise me, the old English charm with its stone and dark wood is straight up story book.

I ordered a paloma for my wife and I, priced at $22 each -- this would be $9-$14 back in KC... I get it, resort prices, but still got sticker shock. While it looked beautiful, it was not good. Very underwhelming for what you pay, and sparse on alcohol. We got some spinach artichoke dip which was really good and helped salvage the experience. The view out on the patio is nice; you're on "the top of the rock" overlooking the lake and a golf course. It's quite manicured up there, but it's nice either way. We stuck around for the sunset show with bagpipes and a cannon firing which was interesting. At one point he played "Dixie" on the bagpipes, what the hell?? but otherwise it was kind of interesting. So much of the menu here is similar to all their other restaurants, and I found it confusing to keep up with what is what. My take on Big Cedar restaurants after a few days is that Worman House is amazing, as is Truman for breakfast, everything else is kind of all the same average spot mixed together.

Now for the food - We ordered the maple glazed salmon. The 22oz ribeyes with 2 lb lobster tail as well as a side of truffle mushrooms paired with wine. The steak was perfectly tender and cooked medium rare, the lobster was succulent, with rich buttery flavor and tenderness. The salmon was cooked juicy not over done and tenderness to show it was light flaky how a plave know for food and presentation perfectly owned their reputation on one first time visit. The mushrooms were amazing we were so full we could not even order dessert just so full. Over all 4 out of 5 stars becasue they could improve some aspects on my opinion but if the service required searching for a waiter or waiting to be check up on then it could have been 5 stars.

It is the most disorganized venue I've ever been in to gain entrance to the concert. There was a lack of planning for the large crowd expected (13,000+). We came early for the Live & Collective Soul concert and tailgated in the parking lot. We started to walk to the venue at 555p for a 6p start. We weren't too worried since we had reserved floor seats. After you go through security, they check your bags. You need a small clutch or a clear bag and your refillable water bottle needs to be squeezable so leave your metal ones at home. When you stand at the top, you can see the Ozarks behind the stage and it's picture perfect. We walked down to our seats and after the opening band, we were offered pit wristbands so we gladly made our way to the pit. There was a drunk man who was bumping everyone and trying to get handsy on all the women, including some minors. He had tried to grab the lady behind us but her husband stopped him. He then moved behind me so the hubs became my buffer but the guy kept grabbing my hubs. The hubs yelled at him to go away and since the hubs yelled loud enough over the band, security heard him and escorted the man away since he was such a problem to everyone. Leaving was so easy and simple. It appears they can handle smaller crowds simply, but I heard about the Post Malone & Jelly Roll concert and am so glad we didn't experience that.
