We came for our baby's first haircut and it was a great experience start to finish. It is such a cute salon! The salon is bright, spacious, clean, and organized. The kiddie car chairs are adorable and our baby loved sitting in the taxi. Kaitlyn C. was our stylist and she was wonderful. She made sure our baby was comfortable the entire time, put on his favorite show, and celebrated with bubbles after his trim was done. This review is for Abby the receptionist. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Even in her tone. I have been going to buzzes and beehives for years with my son who is now 10 we are very loyal. I tip well. I made appointments well in advance. Five days before my appointment they are calling me to confirm while I'm at work. I'm thinking it's an important call. I take it and she's asking me to confirm because they have a long list, etc. etc. I explained that I have 24 hours to cancel as in the policy. Please do not call me if I need to cancel I will.I get a call the next day. She says I know you told us not to call you but they noticed a second appointment. Yes I do 6 days away and they want to open that up for someone else. How do you know I'm not bringing in my child twice and you just said you had a long waiting list. You can call these people up five days in advance to get off the list and I'm sure they will gladly come in. She kept being adamant and rude to me. It is not written in the policy online anywhere any of the things she's telling me. I am willing now to pay a second stylist another fee just so I can decide when I'd want my appointment in five days. With all the sickness is going around my child was sick and I'm not sure which day I was going to be able to make it in with well enough notice. This should not have been an issue like it is. So unprofessional of her attitude and the phone call. She said I'll have my boss call you back after keeping me on the phone for minutes telling how I am breaking a policy that's not even written and in a tone of voice that is not suited for customer service. I will gladly talk to the boss about her employee and the unwritten rules. Don't have a website with rules if you can't uphold them. They call you more than the doctor's office to confirm. I hope the next call I get is with an apology. read more

Cute place and well kept. Just left appalled and offended though. My daughter has very thin curly hair. It curls and knots and I took her here to have the knots combed out. I made an appointment and the girl who did my daughters hair stopped half way. She worked on my daughter for a half hour and tells me her next appointment just arrived and she couldn't finish my daughters hair. Mind you, my daughter was sitting perfectly still and was happy to have her hair being done. After stopping abruptly, the stylist then suggested I come back "tomorrow" for my daughters hair to be finished. Was that serious?? What salon finishes half a job and sends you out the door like that? Was unprofessional in my opinion. Which was a shame considering I really liked this place upon entering, I had high hopes and I fell like I could have been a regular client. So sad. EDIT in response to business owners response: It's sad that we live in a world where business owners only write back to negative reviews to slander and attack the reviewer for their mistreated experience, rather than get on to APOLOGIZE. Write whatever "backstory" you want, the point is you book appointments too close together and DONT HONOR AND FINISH YOUR WORK!!! There is absolutely NO excuse you can give for that. Stop overbooking and trying to turn guests into dollars as quickly as you can and do an HONORABLE JOB on ALL who walk through your door. You're sitting here whining because you got a negative review. Do you not think I left feeling completely mistreated? What goes around comes around and I'm speaking nothing but truth here. You were absolutely atrocious to me on Facebook for my review also. There's no excuse to be RUDE to me just because I left an honest review of your business that you don't love, and you even had friends of yours write to tell me I'm a crappy mom because my daughter has knots in her hair? On the fourth anniversary of my oldest child's very first haircut, we just got home from another fabulous experience at Buzzes and Beehives. Even on a run-of-the-mill weekday afternoon, both Elena and Jaime went out of their way to make my children feel special while getting their haircuts. Jaime treated my daughter to the Elsa braid of her dreams and Elena was particularly good at cutting my toddler's hair even as he whipped his head around. At 1st this place was extremely welcoming and accommodating to children. Both my son and daughter received their 1st haircuts there. We've been back a few times with Scheduled appointments. However the customer service has gone down immensely. I've attempted on several different occasions to schedule my daughter an appt and I've been told they are booked out for weeks. Since then my son has started seeing a barber and I'm able to get my daughter a professional cut at an actual salon instead of here. Since we are small business owners I'm always for supporting our local businesses, but when your met with unprofessionalism your business will obviously reflect that. read more

My daughters have been going to this salon since we moved here five years ago. We love this place! Fun styling chairs, movies/ tv shows to watch for EACH kids station, video games to play for the bigger kids and a mini toy store and fun styling tools for sale keep us coming back repeatedly. We currently have a situation where my youngest was having surgery on her head and wouldn't be able to wash her hair for two weeks. The owner found out about this and went above and beyond figuring out how to help us deal with this situation. Denise had us come into the salon multiple days to help us manage her long hair during this stressful time. It was such a great weight lifted off of us and my daughter loved the special treatment (and amazing braids). We are so grateful for this family-like small business atmosphere in Frankfort. I took my one year old son here for his first haircut and have been back twice since then. The last appointment I booked online with Jaime who had never cut his hair and she was absolutely AMAZING with him! She took 5-10 minutes before starting the cut to play with him, let him hold the comb and touch the (almost) silent clippers she had which made him so much more comfortable! Excellent experience! After speaking with the owner, I gave the shop another chance. I called and was able to get an appointment for all the kids, all at once. Sarah was the stand out. She cut my 10 month old's hair and did an amazing job. Her consultation was detailed, she was patient while cutting his hair and checked to see if I was happy before finishing up. The woman who cut my 5 year old's hair was also great. Very detailed and friendly with my daughter. The woman who cut my three year old's hair did good, but she just rubs me the wrong way. She was who I initially had an issue with. It's just like she doesn't care or isn't interested. That said, I did just make another appointment with Sarah for my son. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone who asks. Im glad I gave it another shot and found a stylist that does an amazing job! read more

We had my daughter's 9th birthday party here yesterday. We would highly recommend this place for a party. We had 3 super friendly, helpful, patient and kind ladies helping us with setting up the party, doing hair and nails for all 15 girls, passing out pizza, drinks, cutting up cake, etc. The girls loved the karaoke machine and dressing up. The second I walked in Buzzes and Beehives, I knew it was going to be a great experience. The staff was busy with cuts, but still acknowledged me and my three kids as we came in. The owner came over and checked us in, and my kids had a minute to play with the big train table. Each one of my kids had a great experience and wonderful cuts! The staff did an outstanding job with my son who typically has a hard time with haircuts. One of the stylists that was finished with another child came over and blew bubbles to distract my son. Yay for Buzzes and Beehives! We are from Indiana and don't have a kid's salon any longer in our area. Our son is now at that toddler age of lots of wiggles and whining, so we were just thrilled at our first-time experience here! Katie was amazing! She explained to our son everything she was going to do before she did it. She showed him the clippers and let him hear the buzz before she put them to his head.
