We chose Buzz's for our monthly girls get together & we chose well. The staff was wonderful, very attentive and knowledgeable about their extensive menu that was available. We all ordered a lot, lol. We enjoyed everything we ordered and took home lots of food also. Even when it started to fill up the level of service did not suffer. I've been driving past Buzz's for years now & either was too young or had kids with me. Today, I got to stop with my dad for a couple of drinks and some food on our way back from golfing. When we pulled up, the parking area was packed so we thought, "Oh well, we can wait and have a drink.. no biggie". We were greeted by Cameron, who was SO nice & helpful. You'd never know it was busy there.. we had drinks in hand within a couple of minutes. Atmosphere was friendly & staff very attentive. Cameron gave us great suggestions from the menu (Korean options were awesome) and the honey walnut shrimp were the highlight of our meal. The staff seems to work as a great team, helping everyone around them & constantly keeping an eye on the customers. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Heres my experience at buzzes tavern,this is about 4 pm on thurs, its not busy by any means. I went in made eye contact with a watress, sat down,waited 10 minutes, then my friends showed up, we waited another 4 minutes finally a different waitress came and got our beer order, she came back and got the food order eventually, the food came, but no utensils, being as 2.of us ordered mexican foods that were not finger friendly, enchiladas and 1 fish n chips so i asked for tools, i got 3 forks in 3 napkins. No ketchup,hot sauce etc as one would normally get, it took me putt ing the empty pitcher on my head to to get enough attention for a second pitcher . as we went to leave i decided to as them why. The waitress just said " you aint gonna yell at me" I had not raised my voice above normal . If this is normal service ,i recommend finding a alternative place . Never again. read more

Stopped at BUZZ's TAVERN after a ride; we heard they had good burgers. We don't shy away from 'dives' as they often have great food on the cheap, just less of a chic decor. I am torn. Love this place. Great menu so many options. Food is great!!! Service is hit and miss. First 10 minutes is actually great. But then you could get ignored for 30 minutes or an hour. They have 6 people working up front with no assignment and all 6 are at the computer / register for 5 minutes at a time. They all cover everything. So I I'm kind of torn on what to leave as a review for this place. On one hand the first waitress that we had completely ignored us for about 35 minutes helping other tables around us but not even looking in our general direction. That wasn't so bad because we were actually waiting on other people but she could have come by to refill our drinks. Eventually a different waitress came on who was awesome got all of our drink orders once the rest of our crew arrived got all of our food orders and was super attentive. All that being said this is totally your typical dive bar situation. The wings were super greasy and crispy and good, the drinks were cold, and the company was pleasant. Will definitely be giving it a second chance and hopefully the service will be a little bit better at that point. Because I was really excited about trying out buzzes I have heard nothing but good things from others. Maybe it was just a one-off so I'm going to split the difference and go right down the middle. The owner harassed my friend, who never set foot in the premises. What did my friend do? My friend was waiting at the public transit stop that is near this business. Minding her own business, quietly waiting for the bus. The owner came out and rudely demanded to know why she was waiting there. It's a bus stop. People wait at bus stops. For buses. That is how bus stops work. I don't care how good the food is or how good the owner supposedly treats their customers, it is bizarre to go outside and rudely demand of a stranger standing at a bus stop what they are doing there. It felt good to be vaccinated and back at buzzes. The prices were fair, the people were friendly, and the view from the deck amazing.

A great place to stop on your way to the beach. They have standard bar food (burgers, wraps, etc) but they also serve some interesting dishes (Kimchee ramen, crab stuffed avocados, bulgogi) so there's something for everyone. Everything is delicious and the service is great! read more

I've been here just for the beers, but I like the outdoor seating. Definitely a grungy dive spot, but they have a ton of food options, plenty of seating, and a large parking lot. Can get a bit smelly (fishy) because it's right next to the quarry(?). I've heard they have a ton of regulars here so if that's the kind of community you're looking for, this could be great. I'm not quite sure how to describe Buzz. Is it a roadhouse, non gang casual biker bar and grill, etc? To start, Buzz is on a busy rural highway, so you'll want to try if not in their parking lot, at least park their side of the road. Crossing the road after dark could be dangerous. As to bikers, my personal impression of the few bikes parked and the people inside was that the bikers are either commuters or recreational. The interior is moderately large. As you enter you'll face a long bar. Then tables well spaced at the right, and at the end of the room are a couple of pool tables and the restrooms. To the left is a door leading to a huge outdoor dining space divided into three areas overlooking Mud Bay (a flock of geese flew by as we were sitting) Particularly if you are going to the outside area, it's best to order drinks at the bar and carry them out. As my group was sitting outside at the far end, I can't comment about food service inside. Though not busy on a Wednesday night (around 7pm) it probably took 30-40 minutes to receive our food, once our orders were placed. So if you're in a hurry, I don't think you'd be happy dining here, at least outside. Having said this, the menu is very large and the portions too. Wednesday nights they do special pricing on steaks. Everyone at my table was quite satisfied with their orders ranging from Cobb salad to burgers. Our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. Do know if you read the menu online, it's out of date. As can be expected everywhere, the prices have risen, but not too much. If you plan on coming in the summer to eat outside, it's a good idea to bring a jacket or sweater as it can be a bit cool and windy, and they don't have outdoor heaters. As Buzz is quite a distance from where I live, I'm not likely to return, unless meeting someone there. But, if you happen to be traveling through this area, I can recommend giving it a try. My own bill, burger, fries, salad and a non alcoholic drink, ran up just under $20 before tip. read more

It was karaoke night which I have found can be either a lot of fun or really sad and the folks at Buzz's seemed to really try to make it a great time. Even on a moderately busy Saturday night our service was good, and the bar offered great amenities. Pool tables, Pinball, Karaoke, and a outdoor deck. They were always quick to see if we needed another beer or anything else. The food was ok. I was in a strange mood so i tried the "Korean" hot wing pieces and potato skins. The sauce on the wings was mostly ketchup and spice. Really they were surprisingly hot for a guy who enjoys real 5 star Thai. The potato skins have a big piece of Canadian bacon on them, to make up for the extremely scarce bacon bits. Everything is pretty inexpensive at least. The people watching here was fabulous. Sometimes there is only one bartender during a slow time and happens to get busy. No need for being impatient, go enjoy their patio or play some shuffleboard. They have the best bar food. There's nothing fancy or remarkable about Buzz's. Just a local dive bar that serves up mediocre bar food. Service is spotty. It's dark and gloomy inside. Yet oddly comfortable. For some reason... I love it. We like to visit on Wednesdays for steak night (you can't beat $9.99 for steak, baked potato, and salad). During the summer we enjoy stopping by for beers while sitting on their outdoor patio overlooking Mud Bay.
