In response to Mr. Fields first off what you said was not true. I do have a warranty with Enphase as I explained earlier and spoke to your employee Zack about. Zack said that they can't do it because it's to far. Your company Mr. Fields is in San Diego. Secondly, you didn't help me get into contact with any other business. Instead Zack your employee wanted another company to take over the contract. Thirdly, as Enphase had mentioned nobody can put your name for the warranty except for your company. I don't know how anyone can put your company's name for the company warranty. Finally, since you won't service me since I'm so far then I'll probably have to get a different company to take over. However, first I'll continue to contact Enphase about it before I do. As I mentioned your company didn't help me at all. I had to contact you many times without a return call because you never wanted to help. Finally, Zack said that Jasmine Navela doesn't work there but her voicemail is still there. We had out solar system installed by BVI and were pleased with the install. They worked with the HOA to ensure it met their requirements. The installation came with an app that I could use to track the power generated by the individual panels (see attached). The app consistently shows some panels are not performing as well as others. BVI came out and changed an optimizer on some of the panels, but the issue continued. They suggested shade from a tree or dirt on the panels could account for the issue. We had the panels cleaned and their are not trees shading the panels. The problem persists and BVI cannot address the issue. I've also asked them for a quote on how much it would cost to add additional panels, as I don't think the system was sized correctly to begin with. I've sent a couple of emails asking for this information, and neither one was answered. We may not need the additional panels if they were all generating maximum power. They did a decent job, but I would shop around more if I did this again. read more

I have had a great experience with BVI Solar. The sales portion of the job went very smoothly and they set up the financing which was all done online with a great interest rate. Once I signed on the line the design phase went very fast. They respected my requests on how I wanted the cells laid out and the engineering was done in a few weeks. They took care of the permit and kept in contact with me so I was up to date with the progress. During the site survey process I found out BVI acts as the general contractor and subs the actual installation to another company, at least where I live since I am not in San Diego. That being the case BVI still took charge of the job schedule and communications for the most part. There were times I had both companies contacting me with the same information, better to have to much communication than not enough. The company they contracted with to do the install was extremely professional, installed the system exactly as the approved prints showed it, they took no shortcuts. The system Passed inspection by myself and the city without any issues. It is now up and running and with the monitoring website and phone app I can see exactly what it is doing throughout the day. The system came with a full 25 year warranty including the roof penetrations, not one of the other quotes could or would warranty the roof penetrations for the full 25 years. Also they rep CertainTeed solar equipment which meant the 25 year warranty didn't just go through BVI Solar, it was fully backed by CertainTeed. If BVI goes out of business (I hope they don't) I just have to contact CertainTeed and they will have another rep take care of the warranty issue. This was a big deal to me. Do not use this company. I am a certified electrician and had a horrible experience with them. They sub out the actual work and the contractor that they use Solar is as bad as they come with respect to workmanship and performance. They used long screws making holes in my roof and ceiling. They left my panel with loose wires connections causing single phasing. Showed up late with only half of the materials. Then to add insult to injury, BVI called me to yell at me cause I would not sign until I see the system run. I give them two stars cause they started well, and finished horribly. I had an issue with a bad optimizer from a terrible company called solar edge. Luckily it was under warranty but it still took forever getting a new one sent out to me. BVI is one of the contracted companies that solar edge use in case the company that installed it goes out of business.(which mine did) thankfully, I talked to one of the best employees I have ever had the honor of talking to named jasmine. She is very professional, knowledgeable and responded quickly. I finally got the part sent to me and a very nice tech came out to install the new optimizer. Sadly, the tech had to call solar edge to make sure my system was up and running. Solar edge did everything they could to screw things up and waste valuable time. I was so stressed about how long it took for such a simple fix. The tech also felt terrible and said it was typical of this terrible company. BVI understood my situation and gave me a very fair break on my bill. They absolutely understood it wasn't my fault and treated me with respect and appreciation for doing business with them. I will continue to call BVI in the future and I highly recommend you do the same. I NEVER do these reviews and I am VERY picky about customer service, so trust me when I say BVI is as good as it gets in today's awful, lazy world of customer service!!! read more
