I've had some expensive curly cuts where they scolded me for not using their specific products and when they styled my hair there was so much product it almost felt greasy. Not the case with Ashlea! It turned out looking great and she actually styled it well too. The cherry on top is that she is nice and friendly. The salon is beautiful, feels clean and has refreshments. I'll definitely be back! However, the quotes were a bit different from expected but especially the bizarre custom and not verbalized expectations about tipping different people and not paying the stylists directly. The older front desk lady was quite rude and loud about it- very brusque. I didn't want to make it more overwhelming as it already was with the confusing situation. However, I'd like to request management to ensure front desk staff be trained with friendly customer service for paying clients especially if they aren't aware of your custom. I'd like to continue seeing the person I saw next time around but I wouldn't come on the day the old rude lady is there.

She's a normal, chill woman earning a living. 3) Shanni has 1 stylists chair in her salon where YOU the client sit, while Shanni styles your hair. You can watch the tv she has on. Having the opportunity to sit one on one with her made me feel very comfortable. When you go to most salons you will see everyone in there getting their hair done. Shanni puts ALL of her FOCUS and ATTENTION on YOU during your time with her. I was AMAZED by this. 4) Shanni took her time braiding my hair for the weave install. This stylist took HOURS on my hair, and not once did she rush or burn me when using the flat iron. 5) Shanni provided me with a complimentary bottle of water upon request. 6) Her tone when speaking to me was very respectful and never dismissive. 7) My hair was done perfectly. My own husband could tell how pleased I was by the look on my face. I have had horrific experiences with other stylists. Shanni was truly a breath of fresh air! 8) Her skill level was top tier! Not only am I in love with the results, but the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. Her space was warm, inviting, and incredibly comfortable. Spending time at her salon was so therapeutic. Her positive energy, professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for her clients truly set her apart. Interesting since I've long had one and use prescription shampoo from my dermatologist at my hair appointments. A cosmetology license would be useful, and might teach this unlicensed stylist that spreading lies about a person's health online is additional grounds for harassment charges. This is the last warning I will give before contacting law enforcement. I also would never take medical advice from a self-professed conspiracy theorist who by her own admission does not vaccinate her children, during a time when measles is spreading in the U.S, more than we've seen in decades -- an outbreak that began due to unvaccinated children in Texas. I was not going to elaborate on the damage, but seems I should. My LICENSED hair stylist friend had to remove glue out of most of my hair. I have photos and videos of my hair previously -- before this unlicensed stylist talked me into trying a frontal. I have new hair loss all over my head because the glue was extremely difficult to remove, See attached photo. The frontal install was terrible and showed lack of skill because my real hair was not protected. My licensed hair stylist friend is willing to testify about this damage and said he knew this person was unlicensed by the terrible frontal/sew-in install. Now off to enjoy my weekend! I originally did not share all of my documentation but this person seems unhinged. I will let the evidence speak for itself. I am done with this unlicensed stylist -- unless it becomes clear I need to contact law enforcement and file for for a peace order, which I'm seriously considering. I will include the screenshots from her last unhinged response if I do so. Service was incredibly fast, and the staff were very attentive. Overall quality of the two smoothies were good, but the only reason I give these 4 stars instead of 5 is that you can still slightly taste the artificial sweetening. But at only 250 calories for the açaí goodness and 475 for the PB & B, the taste is still quite good.

It was a great salon experience and I will be back for more hair services in the future. Here's why I took a star off: You get a free pass in the gym for your visit but I had been told that you can come back and use it at a later time and that staff had confirmed this previously (was it just lipservice??) so I didnt bother bringing my gym clothes. But the front desk spa staff said that the pass was only for the day of and when I asked at the main front desk some of the staff whom I assume was management hanging out at the desk rudely also told me that it was for the day of like I was trying to take advantage of them or something. Was that really neccessary? I didnt have my gym gear but I went to the women's locker room couch and vegged/relaxed. Then I got something at the not busy too cafe which I got to go which took more time than it should. When I got home, I opened the meal and it was the wrong order but completely delicious so I devoured it. I looked at their website just now and it turns out they charge 40 bucks for a gym daypass and 120 monthly for a one person membership. ouchy owie. I would go to the spa again but never pay for gym membership.
