******IF YOU ARE LOOKING ON GOING HERE READ THIS FIRST******** The care dealers: 5 stars The mechanic shop: 5 stars The finance department CNAC: 0 stars and a complete NIGHTMARE!!! Go to the place up the street. Getting treated like a customer is important, don't go here and be treated like you don't matter and they don't care. The Car dealership did an amazing job they were nice and did the best they could to get us in vehicle. The vehicle had a few problems that weren't told to us after buying the car and was never fixed, we got told that it wasn't a problem when we bought it even though my first contact with them was 18 days after I got the SUV. So that was shady. The mechanics shop they have, they were also very cool, informative and they did everything they could do to give me the best deal possible and the people were super nice. But CNAC the place you finance through the they are an effing NIGHTMARE!!! When we first started going it was alright because the employees didn't start to show there true colors til later on, I didn't miss any payments until covid hit and I had trouble paying a payment, the deferred half of a full payment, and when the other half was due all I got was, we aren't gonna help our customers anymore then that. Not in those exact words but that's what happened. So in hard times that effects the whole country, not just me losing my job cause it's my fault, CNAC will give no support and Give no F**** about it. Couldn't even defer one payment, but only half of a monthly payment. Pretty cold organization. After that the problems continued, constant attitude from the employees for each problem that was on them.. my bank account started to get charged on the wrong payment date, they would go in and take my money out of my account before it was due and got me two overdraft fees by doing it, when I contacted them the first time, I was given attitude and told that I was wrong even tho I had the paper in front of me that said my payment dates from when I got the car. The ONLY employee there that helped me was a guy named Zach, he ended up getting in touch and apologized to me, it's the only time I heard anyone apologize for any of there mistakes since. I got assigned a new person to deal with that was the same as the last. I keep my payments on auto pay, and wouldn't you know, not even a couple months later a payment comes out the day before it's due. ONCE AGAIN! The next time payment is due, I have no money in my account so they contact me. So sorry hard times struggling like the rest of the American people because of Covid but they don't care, I was told that two days late was unacceptable and they have no grace period at there establishment, it must be paid on the due date no matter what. So ya make sure if you go through them, they really don't give a s*** about there customers. With the same stern wArning from them in the email I see on my bank statement they had taken two insurance payments from me. Charged me twice, I didn't get any apology NONE! All I got was don't be late again, there is no grace period. So to reiterate, I've had several payments get charged before due date, 3 over draft fees because of them. A double charge of insurance and instead of an apology, and it'll get fixed, I get a stern warning saying they don't have a grace period, payments need to be on time. I understand payments need to be on time, they usually are, and they usually are get taken a day before without authorization. I found this cool thing you can do now in idaho, You can go and file a complaint with the idaho attorney generals office for bad business practices, My bank told me about it. After my bank manager saw the many payments not taken on time they are the ones that notified me of the charges. So 5 stars for the bank! I initially wrote these guys an amazing review and even sent people there way, I will never again have a good thing to say about this place, when it comes down to it, all I wanted was an apology and that it would stop happening. The first time it happened Zach gave me that, but it happened again, and this time I get a warning to be on time, no grace period. It's mind blowing to see such horrible customer service, just because you are an in house finance place doesn't mean you get to treat people like shit for not having the best credit, I hope this catches the eye of new customers coming in, trust me it's not worth it.

Once they learn you will not help them sell vehicles they turn into absolute scum wishing harm and ill fate upon people.

They are thieves who refused to take a payment to bring the vehicle current, and then lied about how many days it was late.

What a random day I had! I stopped in to another car lot to check out one of the three vehicle…read moretypes that are on my approved list after a whole lot of research. That was a bust. I'm now down to two potential vehicles I'm looking for. I decided to swing by my mechanic shop since it was only a few blocks down the road and check and see if anyone had advertised a used car for sale on their Bulletin board. Sadly, they no longer have that wonderful bulletin board! When I mentioned the type of car I was looking for one of the guy said he saw one on a car lot near Fairview and Mitchell but didn't know the name of the lot. Well, I rolled into a few lots before I found it! I was totally bummed the vehicle I was searching for it sold yesterday. I would've bought it in a hot second. So, this review does not include my experience with the actual purchase process but I'm giving them five stars because it was such a pleasant experience especially compared to a few other places I i've gone to. Jeremy was kind and attentive and for the first time in a long time was actually willing to keep an eye out for specific vehicles and call if one comes up for sale. I have asked at least five other sales people at other dealerships the same thing and never received a follow up call. They often only go through the motions of taking my number and clearly aren't listening to what I am looking for Jeremie was very familiar with the details of the two vehicles I'm looking for and understood exactly why I was looking for them. I loved feeling confident that if they could get their hands on one that I would get a call. I'm not in any rush unless my 30+ year old car breaks down and is unrepairable (I do love it but parts are hard to come by!) Extra bonus points: I actually got a straight answer on financing in advance of even having identified a car. Hopefully I can get my hands on a GX 470 since I've been lusting over them for 10 years now. first time I've ever left the car lot feeling happy and hopeful! I'm looking forward to riding a great review on the purchase process.

They are stand up guys to work with and delivered on everything they said they would. They played absolutely zero "sales games" and they genuinely cared I was getting a car in good conditions and was walking away happy with the transaction. Highly recommend going in and talking with them if you're at all interested with something in their inventory.

They gave me a great loaner car and worked with my car warranty company to replace the radiator quickly and at a very reasonable price. My friend and I brought a young lady (Devanie) to Fairly Reliable Bob's to purchase her first car…read morebecause I had heard great things about the business (and let's face it, with a name like that you have to have something going for you to have been in business since 1975). We were greeted by a man named Butch Petersen, who I treated like I do all salesmen - as someone who stood between me and my goal (the perfect car for Devanie). It very quickly became apparent we were dealing with someone who was not your average car salesman, so on a hunch I asked if he was somehow related to my longtime friend Grant Peterson, who I got to know when I was involved with the local Better Business Bureau Board in 1991. (Grant is owner of the Bronco Motors group of car dealerships - the only place I've bought my cars since 2008 because of the honesty and integrity with which Grant operates his dealerships.) Butch's answer changed everything. Turns out Butch's father and Grant's father started Fairly Reliable Bob's together, not primarily as a money making business, but to be able to serve the local community. That is still their mission today. Fairly Reliable Bob's operate with a laser focus on serving their community with excellence and integrity, and everything else takes care of itself. And Butch Peterson was the owner and general manager of Fairly Reliable Bob's - a man who walks the talk. Long story very short, Butch found the *perfect* car for Devanie, answering all her questions to make *her* feel confident as well. He explained some of the many benefits of purchasing a car at Fairly Reliable Bob's, including a repair shop that is run as a not-for-profit company so all parts are charged at cost, hourly rates are less than half of other repair shops, and loaner cars are always free. Butch sent a trailer at his expense to pick up Devanie's trade in (which would not start), gave Devanie a fair deal on the new car, and arranged an unheard of interest rate for someone with no credit by working with a local bank **and having Fairly Reliable Bob's cosign the loan** for her. There are far too many things that astounded me about character and integrity of this business to go into here. If you'd like, connect with me and I'd be happy to buy you coffee or lunch and tell you more about them. Or just give them a try. I'm confident you'll be as blown away as I was.
