Have had my car 3 years. Before even signing the contract I explain i will be starting a new job and be paid on the 1st and 15th. They say fine. Year 1 they call me and tell me I have been behind for months and that for 9 months due to my pay schedule, I would have to pay more to get it current and be fine. So I do. Year 2 call me with the same bullshit. So I pay more for 5 months. Year 3 they call again same thing. Every year in January too by the way. Same thing. So I finally get paperwork that changes my date which for 3 years they never even mention. I am still not even half paid off either even though my payments have just gone up and up. I was also told and signed the contract giving me free oil changes for life of the vehicle. They literally stopped doing it with no communication or nothing then lied on the phone about an email even though John in CNAC said on the recorded line no one knew. And then quickly rephrased when I mentioned the recorded line. I do not have this email. They harass and train staff to absolutely treat you like garbage and protect the company. I hope they get shut down and all those assholes are unable to be hired. You guys are trash and I hope yall burn in hell. everyone there was very friendly! Dave (the one i chatted with on the phone & i believe manger) Sam (my sales guy LOVE THE PLANTS in his office(; ) and i believe Sarah (finance). My overall visit was a bit rocky dealing with a bratty, tired, one year old. But never once did i hear any complaints, weird looks, ect. They we're very kind, gave me time if i needed to deal with her moods. They even waved and tried to talk! Sarah even gave her snacks! It all meant a lot to me considering i was not planning on being there for more than 2 hours! i love the car they offered me and will definitely recommend others! if i could give a higher rating i would! They do NOT pay your sales tax -- they FINANCE your sales tax! I got stuck with Brenda, who was the definition of a used car salesman. I corrected her after she said they pay our sales tax; she said she never stated they would pay the sales tax...LIAR. I was filling out paperwork with the finance person and Brenda came and tried to take the keys to give to someone else to test drive. GO AWAY!! I might go back, now that I know Brenda is gone. I have had my car only 3 weeks and it keeps throughing engine hot a/c off and the engine light keeps coming on, it also goes red hot when it does this and there seems to be nothing mechanically wrong with it, I've had it in the shop two times, once for this. I would never recommend this dealership unless you don't have any other option. The car is nice and the people are nice at first but once they have you in a contract the costumer service takes a hard nose dive. I can not express how upset I am by the way I was treated today. The service manager mocked my facial expressions to my face in front of other customers when I was expressing how upset I was over their disorganization and horrible lack of communication. I had a terrible experience here they wanted me to get approved for a loan before they even spoke with me about what they had to off as far as warrantys and payment and customer service. The cars were over priced and the customer service sucked everyone was very rude. I actually got to speak with the service manager and he was super unprofessional he was swearing up a storm to me and told me how the warranty was a failure warranty only so if your vehicle stars messing up your on your own unless it goes out. read more

To start out, I have never been so unsatisfied in my life. Ever. Until I purchased a car from JD Byrider. The process of purchasing my vehicle was extremely lengthy and difficult. The payments on my car were outrageously high, I was paying nearly $300 every TWO WEEKS. When going through paper work, we got on the insurance topic and I was told that "for only a few extra dollars a month, you can insure through us." So I said yeah, sure. The "few extra dollars a month" was about $30 something a month. THEN once all the purchasing process was over, about a week and a half after buying my car, it broke down. ONLY A WEEK AND A HALF AFTER BUYING. This car didn't even have 50,000 miles on it yet and it was breaking down. Ever since, ive had problems left and right. Not to mention, any time i took my car into the service shop there, every time i got it back...there was another problem within a couple days. My car is currently broken down two parking lots away from me. I would never advise anyone to go to JD Byrider. It was too much of a hassle, I was screwed over and out of my money, and now I'm stuck with a piece of shit car. If I could give less than one star regarding this experience, I would! We are in the Springfield, MO area and bought our SUV from the Springfield, MO location about two years ago. The car has run well and we have not had any problems with the service department until today! Yesterday, the vehicle started whining and growling while running. My husband, who is a licensed mechanic, looked at the vehicle and found that the alternator was not working. When he called the service department, he was treated as if he did not know anything at all about motors and was told that "if it is determined, by our mechanics, to be the alternator" that it would be covered by warranty. So, we put the non-operational vehicle onto a trailer and took it to the Springfield JD Byrider shop. TODAY....I called to make sure that they were aware of why the vehicle was at the shop, to make sure that they had the keys and to give them my contact info so they could call me when they diagnosed the vehicle. I was transferred to the attendant that my husband spoke to yesterday and I was told that they would get to it as soon as the staff was finished with their scheduled work. A short time later, I was contacted by another member of the staff to find out where the keys for the car were left. Shortly after that, the second staff member contacted me to let me know that the vehicle had been taken into the garage and that it was starting just fine. He stated that they had started it several times and did not see any problem with getting it started! REALLY??? I explained to him that we had brought it there because of the alternator, NOT the starter! He then asked me what made me think it was the alternator! NO COMMUNICATION between workers! THEN....I received a call from the second staff member again to let me know that they had tested the alternator and it was still charging fine but that a baring was going out in the alternator. He then told me, "I think it will be okay to drive it." UNBELIEVABLE!! I told him that we live 15 miles out of town and have a small son and I did not want to drive something that he "thought" would be okay knowing that there was something wrong with the alternator. He then informed me that the car was no longer under warranty, due to the mileage, and that if I wanted them to replace the alternator, they could do it for just over $200. I had my husband call and talk with him and he was told that the part would be "at cost" for $152.00, before labor and tax. My husband retrieved the car on the trailer and took it to another mechanic to have the alternator tested.....SURPRISE......it was NOT charging! AND the alternator they could get us "AT COST" was $148.00. So, not only is the service department at the Springfield, MO location uneducated and incompetent, the customers are being gauged and all the while are being told that they are getting their parts "AT COST!" Unbelievable! I would not recommend using the service department at this JD Byrider for any mechanical problem....they are argumentative, incompetent and getting over on the customers! read more

I went there a few weeks back, looking for a truck. Was supposed to meet with a sales lady named Brenda on a Saturday that was scheduled by her. Took all the required paperwork and it was a big mistake. The sales lady decided to take an unplanned vacation day without giving me a courtesy call telling me our appointment was not going to be happening. Met a salesman named Sam, took our information and then ignored us the rest of our time there. Waited at his desk for 45 minutes, with no follow up, just an excuse stating computers were down. He spent the time hovering with another sales lady and inside a room, I think was their finance office. Long story short, we left and never returned. Worse experience in my life at a car dealership. Ended up buying a much nicer truck I was looking for at Reliable Chevrolet. This dealership JD Byrider appears to care, for about 10 minutes and that is about it. When I told Brenda about my bad experience, she seemed to care less and pushed my experience off as an issue that never happened. I also asked her to allow me to get my paperwork back that I had given Sam and her response is it is required by law to keep it. Seeking legal advice to get damages on that. Good way to get identity theft, because before I left the dealership, another sales lady had personal information on another couple that was on a test drive with her, laying on her desk, that anyone could of picked up to take without anyone noticing. A week ago, Brenda called me and wanted to know if I was going to come in to look at a Dodge truck they had on the lot. I told her no, and informed her that nobody really cared if I was a customer or not. Felt all I was, a burden for going to this dealership and no longer interested in their dealership and I bought what I wanted at Reliable Chevrolet. Her response was, well it's not a Ford you were looking for here. FYI, Brenda, the Dodge Truck is not a Ford either. The sales staff are what people can classify as shady used car sales people in my opinion. Go someplace else, if your credit is not what it should be to buy a car, look at more than one buy here pay here lot. This place is not a first choice, should be the last in my opinion. And I would suggest carrying a tape recording device on in your coat or pocket to catch the sales staff at their own game and seek legal action or Attorney General complaints at the State of Missouri level when they try something very unprofessional. read more
