Ours had couscous , salad, lamb kabobs, hummus and cheese with pita bread. I guess it does change monthly or quarterly. Presqui'le Winery never fails to amaze me!…read more Whenever my MIL visits, we always make it a point to visit Presqui'le. The weather was beautiful. Sunny, warm, slight breeze with an amazing view of the mountains and ocean view. The food is so fresh because it's all farm to table. The chef changes the menu every season, so you never really get the same things twice! I really enjoyed eating everything on the table today. The service is always good, but today prompted me to finally write a review. I think Alex (boy Alex) has been my favorite server thus far! Since I've been traveling heavily, I haven't been able to maximize my membership. (Thus leading me to cancel it after 3 years) However, my experience today was enough for me to renew it! Thanks Alex!

This was our first visit to this rustic tasting room, and we had a nice experience. It was a Friday, right after opening, and we had the whole place to ourselves. The service was friendly, and my wife and I shared a traditional and custom flight. We thought that the wines were decent, some better suited to our palates than others, but well-made, nonetheless. We were fortunate to meet and speak with the owner who happened to be bringing in supplies and got a little more detail on the wines, than we did from our "winerista". He also mentioned that his niece opened a winery in Los Olivos (Story of Soil), which focused on wine styles a little out of our wheelhouse, but we thought we'd give that a try as well, and it turned out to be a fantastic recommendation. Costa De Oro is a nice place with wine varietals for everyone's tastes. I recommend you stop in and give them a try when you're passing through the area.

We arrived right as they opened, and we built our own tasting flights and she gave us information about the property and the wines. Thank you for the great experience Tammy!

Cannot recommend Wes Hagen and his hospitality at the Ranchos De Ontiveros facility enough. 5+…read morestars! Wes' incredible amount of knowledge, and painstaking explanations (without being boring) of the entire growth, processing, and history of the winemaking and vinting process was nothing short of a wonderful journey into the heart of California winemaking. Like I told Wes when we set out on our tour, I'm no oenophile. I simply know what I like when I taste it. Wes was patient, inquisitive, and not high minded about wine and how and when it can be enjoyed. I really appreciated the thoughtfulness and thoroughness with which he constructed the tasting, and the accompanying culinary pairings. For those considering the tour, the Ranchos De Ontiveros grounds are a little further out there, but you'll be rewarded with the majesty of the Santa Maria valley and the bucolic surrounds which envelop the landscape. Between the setting and the awesome educational experience through Wes, you will undoubtedly feel privileged to have spend a wonderful couple hours in his and the vinyards company.

These guys went above and beyond to show us a good time and were incredibly kind and generous. The wine was spectacular. Most guests bought bottles at the end. The venue was stunning, and we couldn't be more grateful to have had such spectacular hosts.

We were greeted by Jordan, a friendly, informative, and helpful wine enthusiast. Jordan provided details of the grape, year/ season, and descriptions on each wine's flavor and suggested pairing. We learned a bit of history of Bien Nacido and the popularity of the grapes. We opted to do both tastings, estate and black label to fully experience their wines. Jordan started us off with a rose, well balanced and dry, perfect for hot summer days. Our favorites were the GSM blend, smooth, full flavor and the black label Syrah, full-body with notes of berries, and nice depth. We are so glad we took advantage of the FP perk and visited Bien Nacido, with a couple bottles of GSM and Rose in hand.

We sat on the patio and the views are awesome. Wines were solid but the group as whole didn't find the price point to align with the taste. The tasting fee is also the highest in the area. Where things were really disappointing was the service. Our young lady who served us was not very informative or friendly. She enjoyed time on her phone which also meant there was times we were wondering if we would ever get our next pour. Worst part it wasn't very busy. Our group felt that maybe because we used the wine passport for the taste that it turned her off. Definitely can't recommend going to this place given cost and quality of service. I guess given how famous this place is we would get more of an experience.

We came with our pup, and Google Maps took us up Tepusquet from the 166. Don't do it. Just don't. I love a good adventure, but this didn't make any sense for being any faster or more efficient. It's windy, narrow, and steep. Poor June was car sick from the drive. While the drive had some great views, we were anxious to get to Cambria. Upon arrival we noticed that the tasting room was uphill from the vineyards, providing a great view. I will say that the tasting room was cut into a little crevice so the views from the deck are limited. However, there is a beautiful private tasting area on a hill (when you turn into the winery parking lot) that would be a fantastic spot for good views. The wine was nice, plenty of variety. And I appreciated the unique guidance of wines from the staff. By providing your preferred wines and notes they will create a personal tasting menu. We also opted for the charcuterie for 2 which was perfect. Plenty of bites to accompany our tasting. Because wine is so unique it's always difficult to review, so I prefer to focus on the experience as a whole, and Cambria nailed it. We would definitely return and hang out by their fireplace. Until next time!

Another new stop for us…read more We had purchased the Summer Sippin' Passport ($20 for 20 tastings) and were in the club tasting room at Zaca (the only place out this way that I'm a member at) when and another couple mentioned heading out to pick up from their other club. Other club you say? Hmmmm, this piqued my interest. If I'm a member here, and they're members here and they're members somewhere else out here, we must have similar taste in wine... I quickly asked where they were headed and wanted to know more. They told us Kenneth Volk and mentioned all of the unique varieties. Only on this occasion, where we had already been down that way tasting and it was getting later in the day but with the opportunity to try so many new places on this passport, we gave it a go! We arrived at Kenneth Volk and right away my boyfriend spotted a familiar face from Rancho Sisquoc. That was lovely! I right away spotted the vegan cinnamon rolls :) We tasted several different wines and honestly, I enjoyed what we had and will return in the near future to taste again at a couple select places that were brand new to us this go around, but with a fresh palate. I'm happy we made it here and had a pleasant experience so we can get them into the rotation next time.
