Oliver is awesome and honest with his assessment. I brought in my Prius after it wouldn't start anymore and was able to call him the morning of and he allowed me to get my car towed to his lot. It took a while to have my car fully assessed (like 2 weeks) which I was okay with. He ended up finding that that coolant pipe and water pipe had a leak and would cost about $1000 to replace. I decided I didn't want to do the repair and just sold my car off his lot but I couldn't find a buyer for about 1-2 weeks and he let me keep the car on the lot during that time which I really appreciate. The price was very reasonable to have the car assessed. Overall excellent service and Oliver is very nice and responsive. I trust him and that he isn't trying to rip you off. read more

Unprofessional. Botched paint job!! I didn't even know it was possible. When I expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome of the paint job I was treated horribly. Francisco was insistent that my goal was to get out of paying him; he justified charging me in saying that the car looked better than it did when it arrived. I was ready and had every intention of paying him, however, I did not anticipate that the work would be unsatisfactory. My attempts at a discussion about a possible solution was a total failure because Francisco was not able. He did not provide a receipt. I paid 60% of what he had originally quoted me and I now have to repaint the entire right side of the car to correct his work. Do not recommend this place at all. Oh also, he somehow got little specs of white paint all over the front bumper making the bumper look dirty. read more

Am very grateful to Oliver (and Axel) for doing excellent, precise and competent work (much needed service @ maintenance) on my Volvo C70 sports car. Was referred to them thru someone who had the same car as me and had work done there very recently. They initially checked car thoroughly and communicated to me exactly what was needed before going ahead....giving me a honest, fair and reasonable estimate. Then they proceeded to do the work as planned the next day and completed on time by the end of that day....even with incurring a few glitches in getting the proper parts delivered. They went above and beyond what was required and did a couple small things for free....which was so kind of them!! Also, Oliver not only gave me a ride back nearby where I was staying after drop off but also came and picked me up when the car was completed @ drove me back to the shop to get my car....and went over @ showed/explained everything.....now that's Service with a Smile!! The owner, Oliver Canales, is an awesome mechanic and will go the extra mile for you. He is currently working on my classic Lincoln Continental, which belonged to my Dad. There were some sticky issues and Oliver is putting his heart and soul in helping me with this beloved automobile. Oliver is thorough and patient and he works on all sorts of makes and models. After waiting for 2 1/2 hi our for a tow, we found C & C to take our Toyota Sienna there to get the alternator replaced. Not only were they honest and reasonable, they worked on it as soon as the van was dropped off. I had explained to Oliver, the owner, that we're from Sacramento visiting a friend, and he got the repair completed so we didn't have to spend a night in San Rafael. I pass by C & C Automotive many times. However, today, I had a flat tire almost right in front. After AAA replaced it with the spare, I took the flat into C & C. Before AAA arrived I was asked if I needed help by C & C. Oscar & Oliver welcomed me & my tire. I've taken a few of my vehicles to C&C over the years. My last experience was an emergency. My windshield wipers went out. I had replaced the motor a few months prior but they quit working again. I figured it had to be the switch. I had them replace the switch with no results. They changed out the new motor only to find it was defective. They gave me a very fair price and had it fixed quickly. The service and price was great! read more

The customer service was perfectly great, however, my break job was terrible. After my repair my breaks sounded like metal on metal. I just went to a different shop to get them checked and was informed that pieces were missing that should have been there and the parts that were used were of low quality. read more

I was recommended Oliver Caneles' auto work at C & C Automotive from a friend who has the same make, model, and year as my Prius. I had an 85k to do and Oliver's price ended up being 2/3 of the dealer's price (that's a quote directly from how much I paid in the final bill). In addition he, while I was coming back to the shop, popped out a big dent in my front bumper (hit and run incident that I'd not yet resolved). He was so humble and professional... CC is a very good automotive repair center. Very professional and Honest. They did a thorough job in finding the problem I had which turned out to be more complex than exspected because the computer read out didn't tell the whole story. If they had only followed the codes provided they would have not solved the problem and I would have been charged for unneccessary repairs; and would have still had a problem with my engine. I was so pleased to discover this A-1 neighborhood automotive shop owned by Rodrigo Carranza, his first shop after working, with his partner Oliver, for a Mill Valley shop. Being a woman and not knowing enough about cars, I have always felt uncertain about car repairs in the past. Not any more......Rodrigo and Oliver are the most honest, professional and ACE mechanics you can leave your car with!!! My work takes me on the road alot, and I first discovered them when I asked them to do a diagnosis so I would feel safe. For only $60, they did a complete diagnosis, and told me everything was fine. In the past year, I had to have a brake job, all my oil changes, body detailing, and a thermostat replacement when I was worried my transmission was going out....that's how honest they are...and their rates are lower than the rest. They are great mechanics and I can drive my car with confidence knowing that they have checked it out from head to toe.
