Would watch these guys, fix an issue supposedly. Within two days sane issue comes back, Question this and they had the audacity to tell me it was off after they confirmed it was fixed , refused to repair without me paying again. Gave them benefit of doubt have since been living with it. 2nd issue was oil change. I've had my oil changed here a number of times on my autos. Never an issue till my last expierence. They broke a oil canister, and tell me I am being charged for a new metal one. The had a new person dropping the oil and he managed to man handle the plastic canaster that holds the cartridge. These canisters do not break unless you have a brute handling it. The Mgr response there plastic, they break. BS. they Don not break unless you have a very inexperienced person doing it. I offered to split the cost and the MGR,refused. After paying, I spoke with the owner and explained my position. He agreed to split the cost. Nice people, but if your employee breaks a customers car,be smart fix it and eat it, don't try to pass some BS explanation to some customer who might not know their way around a car. This is a very common practice by many shops around the country, including authorized manuf dealers. Always demand parts that are replaced, be returned to you. read more

I have been taking my cars to these guys for about 15 years now. Every time I go in with a problem or concern, Mike and Kelly are so nice to deal with and they take excellent care of my vehicles. Just last Saturday I was run off the road by an idiot driver, and ended up scraping the under carriage of my car all along the right side. After pulling out of the drainage ditch, I drove it to One Stop. Mike was concerned that I was OK, and even though their bays were full, he took a look at it and concluded that he would have to keep it and do a diagnostic. Because it was Saturday and they are closed Sunday,I brought my car in Monday morning. By Wednesday morning, Mike called me saying he checked out everything and nothing was damaged. I had also asked them to do an oil change and check the electric seat control. They took care of it all and charged me waaaay under what I thought it would cost. I wanted to write a review from when I got a part fixed from my car a few years back ... So the owner was supposed to fix the right side of my car and ended up fixing the left side an said I ended up fixing the left side because u needed that also but the right side was making all the noise an he told me now if u don't get the right side fixed which was originally supposed to be fixed at 600$ now says well u should fix the right side now or your cars is going to break down. I'm fixing as best as possible I don't have 600$ so take out my ass. I realized he ripped me off didn't fix the left side an just pocketed the money. I mean I have never seen this guy work on my car an all of a sudden he's working on my car. Mind you iv been coming here years prior getting regular oil changes and this incident pops up.i never returned again.. the problem an noise still exist because I got ripped off the first time. Wow what great service. I had to come in here to get a smog check and I talked to Mike. They were not super busy so they took me right in and took care of the smog check in 15 minutes. Then I got to my car I realized I needed an oil change; and since they weren't too busy took me right in and the oil change was done in about 12 minutes. I give this place five stars for great customer service, good pricing and honest assessments. And the place looks really nice for a non-dealer non-chain. It is very well-kept and it was comfortable sitting there although briefly to get my car. Mike also informed me that they do alignments, Tires and other maintenance work so I would definitely come by especially with our older second car. Furthermore I asked Mike about selling a used car and he said that the owner Stan has a pretty good network so that maybe I would come here first if I'm trying to find a buyer for our car. read more

THIS IS A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE, A SHOP WITH NO INTEGRITY. MUST READ ESPECIALLY FOR WOMEN. MY OPINION/EXPERIENCE/REALITY Although this shop's yelp reviews show 5 stars, and is why I chose to have them work on my engine, they are also a BBB accredited shop. This is my experience and warrants reading below to the fullest. This shop will charge you the real price for whatever parts they are replacing but will in turn not put in those parts but will instead install inferior parts begotten from junk/salvage yards. They will tell you that they only order parts from a reputable company like LKQ, but that will not be what they will be installing into your vehicle. If I had not paid a surprise visit because I happened to be in Marin, I would not have known what they were up to. I also believe that they harvested good parts from my car while in their shop so that they can increase their profit. Depending on the part, they can bring in extra profit for the shop. Story below: When I first took my car here I let them know of a couple of places I have checked who had available the engine block for my car, but was told they prefer to get the part from a reputable parts dealer. Initially I trusted them explicitly and went with their recommendation. I then get a call from Mike, one of the technicians, who told me they just received a shiny new engine. I was happy to hear about the shiny new engine thinking it was rebuilt and ready to go. Again, because I trusted them, I paid without coming in to view the engine and gave the ok to start the work. A couple of days past and I happened to be in Marin, I thought to visit to see how the engine installation was coming along. What I saw on this day was an old grimy dusty engine halfway in the hood of my car ready to be installed. In front of my car was a shiny engine block and transmission which Mike told me was from my car. I believe the shiny engine block and transmission is what they would show me would go into my car but that is not what they will put in. They must've been overjoyed that I did not come in to inspect anything prior to giving them the ok to start work. Anyway, I was concerned that they were not installing the shiny new engine but the grimy engine instead into my car. With my objections to this engine replacement, they went and installed the grimy engine anyways telling me that it did not matter how the engine looked but that it was a good engine. They also told me that I needed a new clutch and because I knew I was having a clutch problem I asked whether it would fix the clutch from sticking and that I only wanted an OEM parts replacement. The answer I got was yes. The total for all the work was $6,650, no chomp change. Well my thoughts on this is that I am paying for the work and parts, I should have final say as to what goes into my car, my choice. I was repeatedly told everything would be fine. When I drove the car out of the shop, I noticed that the engine was still sounding like a truck, one of the reasons I took my car in to have the engine looked at, and that the clutch was still sticking. I was livid at this point. They could not also tell me the odometer reading on the replacement engine so for all I know I am paying for an engine with more miles than my prior engine. I have asked for the original receipts for the engine and clutch but this request was met with resistance. They told me that those receipts could not be made available. This lack of transparency leads me to believe this auto repair shop is not an honest one. Why wouldn't they show me the receipts?! Based on my experience, this shop has eviscerated all credibility I have in their work and reputation, they do not espouse integrity. I felt lied to and disrespected. This shop was only interested in its profits. There is no limit to their deception. So BUYER BEWARE !!! Also, the 5 stars on this site is mostly for an oil change or smog service - not major repairs. read more

I have taken my cars to One Stop for many years. I have found them to be completely fair and honest. Their prices are lower than most and their communication is very good. The one time that I was not satisfied with the work they did, I spoke to Stan, the owner. I did not ask for a refund. I simply expressed my disappointment with the fact that they replaced lots of parts, but did not fix the problem. Stan immediately pulled out his checkbook and gave me a full refund. I was dumbfounded. It made me absolutely trust in this business and in Stan. Who does this sort of thing? if you want a mechanic shop that is absolutely honest, knows what they are doing, that you can completely trust that they'll will never sell you something you don't need, then come to One Stop. I needed the check engine light checked on my 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo The car was also losing power. After diagnostic testing it needed a waste gate for the turbo to get power After installation it ran great. A few weeks later the light came on and lose of power. They ordered a new waste gate and installed it all covered by warranty with no additional charge for time spent. Stan and Mike were great to work with. read more

I recommend this place to everyone. My boyfriend and I just moved here from Houston, Texas, after an extremely long trip, my car finally made it here, unfortunately with many damages. The car broke down in El Paso and the repair had cost us over $1000 that we did not expect to pay, to top that off, once the car made into California, it started having issues again. We were very frustrated and scared that if we took it into a mechanic, they would just give us the run around again, like they did in El Paso. Moving to this beautiful state was becoming a headache, we had exhausted our finances on this car. I went on Yelp hoping to find something good and thankfully, I found One Stop Auto Repair. As soon as I pulled up, Stan, the owner got in my car and drove it around the block, to see what was the bouncy problem with my car. Gave me an estimate and within an hour, he had the parts ready for me. Not only that, he was not looking to make money off me, unfortunately, I misunderstood the initial price he gave me and I started to freak out because it was way more than I understood. Stan helped me out this one time and assured me he only wanted to give me good customer service. I was so relived after he gave me that helpful discount. These are the kind of people that deserve the business, the honest hard working ones. I'm not giving him a good review because he gave me a discount, but because he understood me as a person and knew exactly the situation I was in. my ac was blowing hot air so I brought it to one stop and after 2 hours Stan the owner called me and told I need an AC compressor and that was going to cost $1,100. I was skeptical about the whole thing and I told him I don't want to do the repair so I picked up my car and after watching YouTube video I discovered the problem was A fuse called ac relay clutch, so I replaced it and within seconds the ac start blowing cold, air so I called Stan and I complained and he gave me my money back for the diagnostic. I have been going there for years now I'm a little bit hesitant to go there again. I'm hoping it was an honest mistake because I was very disappointed about the whole thing. read more

I wish I had the option of giving this place zero stars - the owner and employees were rude and did not honor the price I was quoted for my smog test. Do not go to this establishment - take your car somewhere else. Originally, they quoted me $39.95 for a smog test - when I brought in my car I was charged $59.95. Since it is an older car, the smog test costs more, but that was not told to me over the phone. When dropping off the vehicle, I mentioned that it had not been driven for a while because it belonged to my mother who had been very sick and recently died. Apparently, in order to complete the smog test the car must have been driven at least 60 miles recently. It would have been nice for someone to mention this before I paid them. Because the car had not been driven, it couldn't pass the smog. They offered for me to come back once I had driven 60 miles and complete the smog for an additional $28. Except that when I returned with my car, the owner refused to honor the price I was quoted and insisted I pay him $39.95 on top of the $59.95 I had already spent, plus $8.95 for the smog certificate. Stanley told me that no one had offered me the $28 price, that I had made it up. "Are you calling me a liar," I asked. "No," he replied, "but no one here offered you $28." So, essentially the owner called me a liar. I've spent $60 and still no smog certificate. A great way to take care of a neighbor with a 2-month-old newborn whose own mother just died. The first place temporarily had no power so were unable to help, farther down the street the second shop had a sign in the window saying they were out to lunch. The third place said they could do it at 4:00 (it was 11:00), so I kept on with my search, and found One Stop a few minutes later.
