The house has beautiful…read morehard wood and stone floors but the bedrooms, closets, stairs and this kind of funky, stand alone, third floor room have such gross old carpeting in them. So our first plan of action is obviously getting rid of the carpet flooring and putting wood flooring in the rooms and marble in the closets. The funky room isn't fully enclosed and has pony walls going around the front half of it that overlook part of the house- mainly the living room- we had the idea of turning this into a playroom for our little one and really wanted to get it done by his birthday- problem we had less than a week to get everything done. We found G&A flooring- called- spoke to Brandon and told him our situation, he said okay hold on let me call you right back- he moved some stuff around- we went in the following day found a gorgeous light natural colored wood flooring that even had the slightly knotted look I wanted and two days before our little one's birthday they'd installed the wood flooring and they did an AMAZING job! The team he sent literally stayed from morning until almost 8pm to finish the job including new baseboards and painting them. We have now used them to do another room in the house, redo a staircase landing where a mini demo had to happen because of a leak and the guys who did the demo absolutely destroyed the wood flooring- we found 5 XL planks in our garage left over of the original flooring and G&As guys cut these to a T, without even a scrap left and did an AMAZING job at putting the floor back together and making it look like nothing had happened. They also just laid the marble down in both master bedroom closets and omg the difference it's made. They are EXTREMELY fair priced I cannot tell you how many joke companies have come in seen our home and tried to absolutely rob us- telling us the wood they're using is the highest quality stuff in "the game" right now and with installation and the rush installment they could do a room for $15,000. LMAO. I told this to Brandon and he not only told me the flooring they were trying to install was basically shit but he can install actual high quality wood done at unbelievably fair pricing- $2,000 for everything- materials, flooring, new baseboards and painting them, labor- everything. Four other companies with the same product gave us bids ranging between $3,900-$7,000 and then the obvious psycho with his crap material and his $15,000 bid lol Brandon also goes the extra mile with his clients-since Marble is one of the most expensive floorings to have done, he came out to our home a few days before the job and measured the areas to a T to make sure he didn't order a box over what we needed to keep the price as low as possible. We'll never not go to this company and this is after going to 11 different companies altogether in the area. G&A always has the most competitive/ fairest pricing, beautiful flooring (what we're looking for every time!) and gets jobs done within a week tops (usually only a few days) of having chosen the flooring. G&As teams that do the installations are also all amazing guys, hard workers, very respectful, extremely knowledgeable and they even fixed a door frame for us today free of charge. Absolutely recommend these guys and looking forward to them finishing the rest of our house. Thank you for everything!

Now we have a lighter color vinyl plank throughout our house which really made a big difference in the flow and brightness of our small home. Duane's crew was awesome. They worked really hard and they got to our house early and stayed late to finish the job within 3 days. (Including baseboard) Elmer was the lead guy in charge and Lupe and Christian were his main help. Everyone was very friendly and very professional and they did a great job. Be aware that if you have multiple flooring mediums throughout your house, you will probably incur extra charges to fix these different elevations, as they install your new flooring over the existing flooring. Ours ended up costing more $$ than the initial quote due to the extra amount of sanding and self leveling material needed. But, we would definitely recommend and use Rancho Viejo flooring again.

We did feel 12 bags of self leveling concrete was excessive when it looked like it was only used on a few corners of the room in a job less than 900 sq feet. Unfortunately one of the stair nosing broke within a couple weeks of install. Rafi was responsive in redoing the stairs stating it was a manufacturing defect and that the new version is stronger. Unfortunately the second team quality of work was very poor. They left holes in our walls that were patched poorly with plaster. Worst of all the stairs were apparently nailed to the subfloor and after a few weeks they started to rise leaving little holes and nails protruding from the floor. A few of the stair noses are loose as well. At this point, Rafi became unresponsive to have the flooring fixed. We ended up getting some of our money back through our credit card after months went by but the majority of the payment was by check. Basically we will need to replace the stairs again on our own dime. Buyer beware! Lifetime warranty doesn't mean anything if the installer ghosts you.

While the work done was adequate, I would NEVER recommend them due to a few serious issues. First, during installation, Rafi told me the floor needed leveling here and there and that it would be extra. So I agreed to it. However, a part of the floor in the living room clearly isn't level because you can see where the floor dips slightly beneath the baseboard. Second, his workers busted my wood shutters in the same room. I never noticed any of this until later. On top of that, he never finished the job! I told him I was going to have some new interior doors installed after the floor installation. Toward the end, he told me his foreman Caleb recommended they wait to install transition strips in the bathroom and laundry room until after the doors were installed. It didn't make complete sense to me (nor to the door installers), but I said okay and gave Rafi the final payment, trusting they would return to finish the job. Now, he doesn't respond to calls or text messages, or he tells me his workers will be out and they never show up. DO NOT make the same mistake and give these shady characters your business. As a footnote, most positive reviews you read for this company and the previous owner, Guy, are from BEFORE Rafi bought the company. Do your research and steer clear of My Flooring Guy in Huntington Beach.

Within 15minutes we had selected a countertop motif, paired it with new tile backsplash and matched it with new solid surface floor options to consider. We appreciated the input from Bita on what to do and what not to do based on our desired color targets and how we needed it all to match with painting that would occur soon after. We agreed on this style, agreed on a time to meet at our house to measure for estimates and go from there. She did give us some verbal estimates which seemed inline, but the measuring would confirm it! As planned, Bita showed up and reviewed the scope of our effort, saw the space and made some additional recommendations as well. She set off and within a few days, we had a full proposal in our email inbox including some of the options we had discussed in-person. The pricing was good and the timing for the crews to work was as well. We got started on our project and other than a surprise plumbing issue that we couldn't have foreseen and some small issues removing old tile, all of the work and the updates were completed on time and on budget! I do recommend Bita and the team to others. Was everything perfect? Not really, construction in your home is tiring (especially while working at home during COVID) but the crews did the very best cleaning up everyday and minimized disruptions to our family and pets while they were there. Very happy with the flooring and the countertops, but I must say that the 2-man crew that did our tile work were artists! Not a single piece of our tile is misaligned or anything other than perfect.
