"Big thank you to Louie and his employees for getting my Ford E-250 van sorted out! They tracked down an electrical short that was driving me crazy for several months. They also let me know that the starter needed to be replaced which I was aware. However, I was planning to tackle one thing at a time because of the added expense. Nevertheless, when he quoted me for the starter and the electrical issue, I couldn't leave without letting them take care of both problems; that's how great his quote was!! Additionally, Louie was kind, friendly, honest, and explained everything thoroughly. It's hard to find shops with reasonable prices that don't overcharge, but Louie runs a completely honest business. Exceptional customer service! While waiting for the work to be complete, I witnesses how his phone didn't stop ringing and people coming in. They stay busy which is a reflection of the quality of their work and their prices!! Lastly, he saw that I'm in the process of converting my van into a home on wheels and accepted to do my electrical work. I don't want any more electrical shorts!! My rear view mirror was cracked so I called 5 different auto shops around town to get quotes. The price quoted were all super high plus I had to wait for them to order the parts. A bit overdue on my review but just wanted to acknowledge excellent service performed in June. I had no air conditioning on my Traverse and after a recharge of Freon did not work, diagnosed issue related to condenser. I felt that the service performed went above and beyond and he really tries to treat his customers like family, by explaining in detail the service and keeping updated on the progress. Just fixed my AC here and it was not a bad experience. When it comes to car repair, I am very skeptical of places but here, everything was so straight forward and the service was amazing. Louie communicated everything clearly and went over all possible options to fix my vehicle. I loved that he found the time to call me when he said he would and I didn't have to chase him down for a response like I have at other auto repair places. It was fixed in a reasonable amount of time and at a reasonable price. I will definitely come back for my car needs in the future. In addition, the fact that it's a family business and not a big corporation makes me feel good to support. Hey guys, C&R moved to Alhambra last month. They are now at the end of the 710 on Valley near Fremont. Louie still runs the place of course but apparently their lease ran out at the old location. This shop is newer, nicer, and it has a nice lobby/waiting area as well. He still has the same mechanics though which is great. read more

I actually wrote this review a long time ago. It turns out I wrote it in wrong place (wrong auto shop) Here is my review for C & R Auto Electric Shop on Valley Blvd: 100% wonderful place. You need to come here!!! The prices are fair and they make sense!!! The owner is such a nice man. He bought me coffee and as it turns out they give rides if you need them. I have never met a place where I trusted the service given or felt comfortable yet this place I trust and do. Cost $130 for a short my 2000 ford focus had. They fixed it and even fixed little things here and there that I didnt notice (they fixed a light bulb above my license plate and fixed my windshield wipers) for free! I hadn't even noticed those things were broken lol Well I appreciate the extraordinarily service received here. A great family business. You deal with the owner directly on the phone and front office. From my experience with mechanical work the prices are reasonable, owner is transparent, organized, and professional. I had a power window motor replaced on my driver side door and the experience was positive. The double edge sword in dealing with the owner directly on the phone and front office there will be interruptions from the mechanics and customers when dealing with the owner. So please have patients. Last thing, love the historical photos on the walls. If I had time I would of listened to the story of every picture. read more

I can't say enough about the great service here. Being female I was concerned about being taken once again like we were at Chuy's Auto Electric. He was suppose to check our vehicle, call us with a quote prior to repairing it. That didn't happen. He said he told us that he was just going to repair it. I don't know about you but I want to know how much $$, it's going to cost BEFORE giving the go ahead. He yelled at me when I confronted him about why he didn't let us know first (we would have never fixed it. The price was outrageous) He was Very rude and disrespectful. Came in.. Asked if they could tell me whether the issues I was having with my car were because of the ignition or the carb... 1 hr later a guy comes up to me and says.. "Ok so the problems your having are either do to the ignition or your carburetor " and I was like yeah I know.. That's why I came here!!! They then gave me a card to get the carb checked out.. And told me it was going to be 40$ what.. The .. F&$@!!! And they blocked my car in.. So I had to pay.. Lesson learned.. F this place! .. Go to chuys down the street.. Terrible place to bring you car. Very poor quality service and it's all about the money over here. This place was recommended to me and I had to find out the hard way, I should have known better. The owner told me I needed to replace my turn signal switch so I spent over $100.00 to get another one. After getting another one, they still could not fix it and they were not willing to go the distance to find out what the issue. I was very disappointed so I took it to a different shop and the man who fix it told me, the original turn signal I have in my car only needed some cleaning. If C&R who preaches to be the best in auto electric in this town, they should have known the original parts just need cleaning and that was all. I wasted money and time for believing I needed a new part when it was not necessary. I would never take my car to this shop again. For you electrical needs go seek other places, I saw one on the web, very honest and willing to take the time to fix your car right. This place is a gem. Louie and Ramon are incredible. This is a family operation passed down from father to son. Did not know the father, but Louie is the best! I took my BMW for hazard lights switch replacement, the switch didn't even make it to my home. I took it back and the wife manager told me the reason the switch went south was for another reason and because this was a new problem I would have to pay for a new diagnosis. I had already spent 200.00. I went some place ease and it was fixed in 30 min. The problem was a short on a back tail light.
