They were honest and expressed the desire to cure the problem not treat symptoms. I was able to get my truck to replicate the code and after taking it back the mechanics again kept me informed and even called Ford to see about them doing warranty work. I dont know to many shops that want to save customers money! I trusted them to do the job and they exceeded my expectation. They did it at an extremely fair price and prompt service! I was the perfect candidate to be ripped off - female, traveling solo, driving an older used car with a history of "engine starter problems". It was my very good fortune that J. was the tow driver AAA dispatched; he listened, he offered a solution that would let me to continue my interrupted journey: allow his employer to order & install a replacement starter. There was NO hard sell - it was just an option, which I gratefully agreed to. Upon arrival at All Towed Up, Steven Wilson (owner) listened to my story, checked the car over, and determined that the problem almost certainly was NOT a bad starter. He told me I didn't need a new starter, that he could return the one ordered specifically for my car, and that if I did have further trouble to call him directly. And of course recommended once I got home to have my local mechanic check car thoroughly examine the car for what did cause the "no start" issue. It would have been easiest thing in the world for Steve to replace the not-bad starter in my car with the one he had ordered, and send me on my way. I would have agreed to that - I didn't know any better. BUT this is an honest man, with honest employees and runs an honest business. They do not try to nickel and dime you, and are always fair and honest with the work that they do. When my battery stopped working (after getting a new one from AutoZone a few weeks prior... I wish I would've called their shop because they do carry batteries for cheaper and I know they would've done a better job with the installation) I called over to their shop because a friendly stranger tried jumping my van with no luck. Sean instantly knew what the problem was and drove 10 minutes to help me out and solve my problem. He didn't even charge me for trip out.
