I first purchased a rebuilt starter motor at their former downtown Los Angeles location in 2012. They rebuild / remanufacture their products using robust components that are meant to last for years. I recently reconnected with them again and have driven twice to their new location in Fontana, CA (40 miles away). This business is a gem of American dedication to quality and delivers on their promises. The staff is made up of three generations and has extensive knowledge and experience; with a positive attitude. CP the founder is still there after 58 years, Geraldo, Eric, Latisse and Brandon are committed to getting you the right part and the best product for the money. On one visit, because they did not have my starter in stock, they promised to rebuild it in 1-1/2 hours. (Apparently company policy allows up to three hours). When I spoke with the owner on the phone, he told me that it would take two hours to rebuild the alternator I needed fixed and that, because the shop closed at noon on Saturdays, I should get the alternator there no later than 10AM. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to arrive until 10:15AM. The owner told me that there were two jobs ahead of me but he would check with his technicians. He went into the work area to ask if the technicians could get the rebuild done today. He then came back out and assured me that it could be done. The rebuild was completed and tested by 11:45AM. If I ever need another alternator rebuilt, I will return to C P Generator Inc., even though it is 27 miles from my house. This is because of the fact that the people are so friendly, accommodating, and do such great work for very reasonable prices. Great and beyond expectations of Customer service. Saturday @ 9:30am of Memorial weekend, my Alternator went out on my drive to Mesa Arizona. I found CP Generators, Fontana CA. in a google search. their hours on Saturday are 8-12 and I had to wait for a tow truck and wasn't going to make it before 12:00, so Gerardo offered to take the Alternator to the Mechanic Andres Espinosa @ A Auto repair and Towing and have them return the Core on Tuesday. If I could rate this a 10 I would!. Amazing customer service! Incredible prices! They truly rescued us from hours of waiting and paying 3 times the amount. On our travels home to Utah our battery light came on. After replacing the battery at another store, the battery light was still on. We were told it was the Alternator and the coat was going to be over $550... I found these folks and I'm glad I did! The business is easy to find and park, clean spacious and the folks greet you with a smile and handshake. The folks at CP Generators saved my 'behind'. They are extremely knowledgeable and had the alternator for my 78 fiat while all the other stores needed days receive through special order. they tested my alternator and although AutoZone tested it and said it failed due to the a faulty voltage regulator, their test showed that the unit worked perfectly, the pulley was just to big. They recommend a smaller pulley and machined it at no extra charge to align it with the crank pulley. Now my car runs perfectly with no electrical issues. The people at this place are cool and offer great prices. A couple months ago I had issues with my car and almost overpaid for something I didnt even need at O'Reillys. I went here and they gave me a good price on my battery and told me I didnt even need the part the guy from O'Reillys was trying to pressure me to buy. Went again this past week for a battery for my fiancés car got a fair deal. I still need to go back when I have time to bring the old battery in to get $15 bucks back. I drove over to pick up and was given the option to purchase the life time warranty. I did purchase the extra warranty since I normally go through the dealer for everything but this time decided to go aftermarket since it was so much less.
