I had called them the night before to see if they had a battery for my car. I spoke with Ethan and he confirmed they had the battery in stock. I also asked if they could install it and he said if I got there before 4:30 in the afternoon, they would do that for me. Now, I KNOW that is not what they do and they honestly shouldn't do it, but I ALSO know places like this have great employees who are willing to go above and beyond to help a customer, and they sometimes will do things like this. However, the day I arrived, no one was willing to do that. In fact, I asked first if we could test the battery to make sure that was the problem and they agreed. But they repeatedly couldn't get the testing equipment to function properly. It kept erroring out. One gal even said with my type of car you had to wait 10-15 mins and then try again. So we did that and it still wouldn't get a reading. Remarkably, the gal was more than willing to sell me a battery anyway, but would not install it. Sorry, but I'm not going to purchase something if I'm not even able to tell if that's what the actual problem is. Doesn't make much sense. Maybe it was an off day, but I'm more inclined to take my business elsewhere in the future. read more

The guy told me he'd already been there for 5 minutes I just turned around and walked out the door went down to AutoZone got waited on immediately and spent $72. How do they not understand I don't want to warranty the battery to get a new battery? What guarantee would they have that this issue doesn't repeat? Best customer service I saw that my hood supports on my Ford F150 would not hold open my hood. ( very dangerous if it would close on me ) decided to stop in and get the supports the young gal that helped me was great. She found the hood lift supports and suggested I replace both. I opted to get them and then she went the extra mile and offered to replace them on the spot! took her only less then 7mins from start to finish. Definitely recommend this place thank you "Erika"! Bought a 2 year warranty battery less than two years ago. The shop employee told me it wasn't showing up and I said what! How? She said yeah we can't give you another one. Then another employee came out to inspect it and looked at the date of the warranty on the batter and he said it's not under warranty anymore. I pointed out that the battery still had two years left based on the date of the battery. He stayed quite and said yeah without a receipt we can't exchange it. So the employee said maybe go to the oreillys store you bought it at and see if they could find the purchase on their database. So I drove all the way to Pomona the salesperson asks for my number and found the battery on my record within seconds. I said," why would the other store say they didn't have it on record?" He said, " Maybe they were just trying not to give it to you." I think the truth is that the employee at the cashier was just old and didn't know how to use the computer and decided to just say I didn't have any records of the purchase. As for the second employee he seemed like he just didn't care about the situation and just wanted to avoid having to do anything. Very incompetent store management. I've been a client of this location for many years but this weekend these guys really made me feel special specially after getting the worst customer service at Auto Zone off Foothill. I hate to harp on the negative therefore let me focus on the positive. While waiting in line at the Auto Zone and being ignored by 3 employees, I call O'Reilly and inquired on a car battery. Jakob answered the phone and confirmed he had what I needed. I left the other place and came over. I happen to have a battery core for one of my other cars which is the only reason I was going to the other place in the first place. I've gotten bad service there before. The store also had the 3 blades I needed, which was nice because it's hard to find a rear blade for my vehicle. The store wasn't busy at all. I made the mistake of going to Auto Zone in Upland because I was in the area. I asked for some basic help and they asked if I was commercial or DIy. I have a business with a fleet of vehicals but I said, "well I guess I'm do it your self". They refused to walk 20 feet to help me after I had been there for over 10 minutes. 3 peopole behind the counter, two of them talking to each other and they treated me like dirt. I have never been treated so badly in a retail business. I went to my O'Reilly's that I usally go to in Rancho Cucamonga. They asked me if I needed help. Showed me were the parts were I needed. I have been a loyal customer of this O'Reilley's since they were at their old location. And years before that. The previous associates and manager were super helpful and quoted actual prices over the phone. I had no idea that the manager had changed and 90% of the associates have quit since he took over the store. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING CARLOS HAS TO SAY. I called into the store asking what brand batteries they carry. Carlos told me "Superstart," and I asked if that was all. He said yes. Then I asked him "don't you carry Optima batteries?" ONLY THEN did he say they carried anything other than their generic house brand batteries. I was slightly taken aback from this conversation. But I needed a battery. So I asked for a quote for an Optima for my vehicle. He said $125 ish. Stunned by the low price, I asked him TWICE, "are you sure that's the right price?" And he said it was the correct price. So, amazed by the great pricing on the Optimas, I raced down to the store, with my core in hand, only to get there and find out it was going to be well over $220!!! I was beyond pissed, and quite frankly, still am. So when I confronted him with this "discrepancy" he was adamant that he told me the price for the Superstart battery. Even though I told him TWO TIMES that I was only interested in the Optima. They have just lost a very long time customer. I have spent thousands of dollars there. But no more. Another perfect example of why more and more people are buying everything online. Customer service and honesty no longer exist. Good old "bait and switch" with this guy. read more
