We had C-Street cater our lunch event today and it was great. The delivery guy was awesome (he works for them) and everyone enjoyed. We had the build your own fajita bar. It came with chicken, rice, beans, peppers and onions, tortillas, lettuce, onions, cheese, sour cream, delicious Guac, and a ton of chips and salsa. I loved the whole set up. I would definitely order from them again. read more

Called and asked about delivery. Said to do it through their website and chownow would handle it. Ordered food and got a call from an Uber delivery driver stating that they were out of a certain protein and that they'd cancel the order since I missed the call. Food got delivered anyways ten minutes later unsure from who. Was missing the burrito I ordered, they didn't substitute the protein just sent it out missing a 10$ burrito I ordered and still got charged for. Cool. Luckily the delivery company made it right. What in the love of God did I just taste? Oh it was not good, and I'm leaving with a sick on my tummy feeling. One taco, a small queso and chips and a canned drink cost me $10. I mean what the heck is on the chicken? It's like some kinda brown gravy mess that's not appealing to me wanting any kind of taco or Tex mex feel. The look of the chicken even appears like bulk stuff that you get from Sams that was pre-cooked and warmed and some sort of crap added to it to cover the freezer burn taste. The website says that the owners are from Iowa. Well, maybe that explains why this place isn't busy and does best for kids across the street. Better than school food. If I die tonight or end up in the ED, you know why. Gross beyond excellence. She charged me $2 for a 2oz cup of queso. The only decent tasting thing I bought besides a drink. read more

This place used to be a great restaurant, when it was owned by Keith. Since after 9 years of eating easily over 150 burritos I will never be coming back. The new owner is incredibly rude, belittling employees as well as customers. His behavior and the quality of the food tanking are the reason this Wilmington favorite will be gone within the year. There are plenty of people who are fans of Moes or Chipotle. That's great, but I'll take a burrito from C-Street over those other guys any day. What I like about C-Street is that it's a local restaurant and its fresh. I usually get the gyro Bueno with cukes and olives and its fresh- you can taste all the flavors. Not only that but it's incredibly reasonable; my son and I got a burrito, a kids meal, small queso, and a beer for $10. The staff there are all super nice and the place is always clean. It's just consistently good. It's not fancy, but it's solid. read more

This place is just ok. The reviews saying it is better and cheaper than Chipotle don't seem right when you get your check. They up charge on adding toppings and you can't tell that from the menu. We ordered burrito bowls which you don't even see on the menu so you have no clue what you are getting. They were pretty skimpy compared to Chipotle. Nothing was hot or even warm which creeps me out when I eat out. The chicken was hard and it was in some kind of sauce that I didn't care for. Lettuce was brown. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing or hit them on an off day, but for now I will stick with Chipotle! read more

Very impressed! I like the quality and the fact that make the burrito as you order. Very clean an the prices are good. You can actually taste the flavor of each ingredient, that is hard to find. Not too salty I had a small burrito $5.50 with spicy grilled chicken, black beans, rice and pico de gallo. We will be back for sure read more

We used C Street to cater our wedding and don't have enough good things to say about them! The owners themselves came to our event to cater and were very friendly throughout the process of booking our catering and working the event. The food was great and we had plenty leftover to have almost a whole other meal the next day for lunch! They were very affordable too. My favorite was the pork. Visit at 7:00 pm on 2/16/21 in case this was a crew specific occurrence and the owner is not making this policy. Arrived at or shortly after 7:00 pm. Were immediately informed they were out of all proteins (steak/pork/spicy chicken/?tofu?) except a little bit of regular chicken and weren't cooking any more even though there was another hour until closing. We took the last of the chicken and proceeded to watch numerous potential customers come in after us and be turned away due to C-Street now being completely out of steak/chicken/pork and maybe a few other things. I gathered there was at least one phone-in order also turned down for the same reasons. One potential customer even pointed out how ridiculous this was and it was the second time they'd come in nearly an hour before closing and told "sorry, no meat for you". To paraphrase her words, "if you're going to stop making food at 7:00, then close at 7:00." To add insult to injury, they turned off the "Open" sign at 7:45 and we heard the lock clicked behind us when we walked out at 7:50. Clearly, this crew wanted to get out of there ASAP. One has to wonder how much business the owner is losing because of this type of service. Since it's hard to get there before 7:00 after work on a weeknight, it's likely we won't try again. read more

The food here is okay. I think it's more of a 2 star as far as the food goes. It was just bland and I got spicy chicken and queso and salsa on my burrito as well as other ingredients and it was still bland. The burrito was a decent size, and there are a lot of options to choose from but it was just okay overall. The one thing that stood out was the great attitude and helpfulness from the employees. Employees I met were 5-Star. So that's why I went with a 3 star overall rating instead of a 2. Place is fine, employees great, and food alright. read more

Very pleasantly surprised! The storefront does not look all that appealing, but the inside is great! Fast, fresh, and delicious! Not only that, the food is not heavily laden with sodium! I asked their employee if he would put some salsa in my Togo bag for me and he said he wouldn't because he didn't get paid enough for that. HAAHAH. I've never in my life. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with this place. There are so many mexican/tex-mex places in Wilmington that you have to do something outstanding to stand out, but I did not get that sense here. I got a chicken salad and my boyfriend got a burrito. We both said "meh". The chicken on my salad was pretty bland, and the salsa was not memorable. We also ordered queso, which was kind of bad. I actually had to mix salsa from home to add complexity to the flavor. I like to support local businesses over chains, but I have to say I will not be returning here. read more

I enjoyed the Steam Burrito here, coming from DC Area where we had a place like this on every corner I would compare the menu and options to Chipotle. Staff was very friendly and I asked him to make me a killer steak burrito that he would make for himself. Minutes later my order was ready to roll, the burrito was hot and fresh and the steak tasted good. Overall I will be back to explore more menu options as I am in this shopping center quite a lot. read more

This place is similar to other made to order Tex-Mex salad bar restaurants (Moe's, Chipotle, Cafe Rio, etc.). It's nice that's a local joint, but it doesn't have that "local" feel to it. You can take that either way, good or bad. I think they should probably emphasize their use of local produce more than they do. The main thing here is that it's a good value. You get quite a large burrito for your money. I tried the spicy chicken burrito, and it was yummy. Just as good as the larger chains around here, but local! One thing I'd like to point out is that their Pico is homemade. AND, while crafting my burrito, the employee strained it before placing it on the burrito. Thank you (!) for doing that - it kept the burrito from becoming a big wet mess on my plate. Some places don't do that, so I appreciate the extra care. read more

Our first here was for a school fundraiser. It was incredible packed, but the staff did great on getting everyone in and out with a smile. Food was good and we have gone back a few times since. Last week I forgot my lunch so one of my coworkers suggested I check out this place since it was cheap and close. A lot of the other employees in the office rave about how good the food is so I was excited to try C street. I ordered two tacos, one chicken, the other pork, both as they come with beans tomatoes and cheese. In my opinion, the were just ok... I called in my order about five minutes before walking from work to pick it up and I was really surprised my order was already ready but once I started eating and noticed the meat was cold it was clear that my quick lunch was not made to order. Overall I was underwhelmed by the food and the pricing was actually a bit more expensive than traditional taquerias. I probably won't be returning anytime soon but I am glad C street is close to my work if I ever forget to bring lunch again read more

So I've waited years to try this place. Mostly bc the Yelp reviews were not plentiful and they were hot and cold. That said, I finally went myself and got a couple of different burritos, a cheese dip and chips. Then the weekend after tried to go again on a Sunday but they were closed. I liked this place for real. They do remind you of an islands or Moes. But I hate both of those places and actually really liked this place. The food was flavorful and it was quick. The chips were tasty and they gave you a ton of them. I would and will absolutely be back. read more

I give this place another. six months based on my first visit. The food was bland had been sitting out for a while. The employees were either leaning on the counter or bumping into each other. I recently moved away from Wilmington, and although I'm extremely happy to be out of that awful town, the only thing I miss is C street burritos. The burrito game here in chapel hill is GARBAGE compared to C street. First off the price is better than flaming amys and moes, secondly the C street chipotle sauce is easily the best thing in all of Wilmington. I'd put that stuff on anything, and I'm going to look into possibly having some shipped to me here. Go in and get yourself a spicy chicken burrito with rice, beans, free queso, free veggies, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce and pico! Their salsa is also better than island, flaming amys, moes or chipotle have to offer. I miss you C street, and I may visit Wilmington just to get my burrito fix. read more

One time I ordered Queso and the lady gave me one that had been sitting out so it was not creamy anymore. Also sometimes the chips taste old. But other than the little things i love everything else when the service is right and the people are nice. My favorite is the spicy chicken burrito. read more
