Visited some friends for the 4th and stopped by this local spot -- great Mexican vibes! My wife had the tacos, which were awesome, and I went with the Tower 7 burrito, wet style -- super flavorful and filling. The service was excellent: friendly, fast, and attentive to anything we needed. Definitely a spot we'd come back to!

I ate here the other night. The service was okay. The food and lack of care is the main reason for the low rating. I had pulled pork taquitos. It sounded amazing but it was so dry that I took two bites and was done. I even dipped it in large amounts of sour cream and salsa and it couldn't save the dryness inside. The refried beans tasted like they were from a can. They lacked seasoning. My daughter got fruit with her kids meal and as soon as it came to the table I noticed mold on the raspberries. The fact that it came from the kitchen prep area, and in the hands of what I belive was an owner or manager to our table is pretty ridiculous. The molded fruit was at the very top of her fruit bowl for several sets of eyes to see. I immediately asked for fries instead because I didn't want to risk or trust in fruit again, but I was surprised to not receive any form of apology for the mishap. I also noticed kids sitting at the bar which I really don't have an issue with as long as they are attended too but I know its frowned upon at most restaurants.

Located in a nice shopping center right next to the hotel I stayed at in Wilmington. Came here with a party of 8 on a Sunday afternoon and they were able to seat us right away! The seating was very tight so we had to split up and sit 5 and 3 people at different tables. So it ended up working out. The service was great and our server was very helpful! She brought us chips and salsa to start. They were both very good. Then I ordered the carne asada tacos with a side of refried beans. The food was ok. It was a little bland and the portions were small for the price. I also tried the street corn and it was really good. My vegetarian sister ordered a cheese quesadilla and there was a huge piece of meat in it. Good thing she opened it up before eating it. Overall, the food was decent and the service was great. It was a good last minute find for a big group of people on a weekend.

My sister and I came here for an early dinner after a day at the beach, and we had a lovely experience. The complimentary chips and salsa are delicious. We first ordered a small guacamole to share, which was plenty for 2 people. We then both ordered 1 6" taco each (see pictures!). The tacos were so full, we had to eat some of it with forks first before we could eat it in its flour tortilla. These come with a side, and she chose the street corn, and I opted for the black beans. We were both very satisfied with the amount and quality of the food. The servers were friendly and attentive. We had a great meal, and I'm sure we will come back.

This was not as great and fantastic as the K38 I go to a lot at Porters Neck. But, it was still really good. It's much smaller but still has the great decor. Our food took a long time to come out tonight but it was delicious when it got there. I had the usual tuna wrap and my son had the mondo burrito. It was huge but it wasn't that great. Something was missing. I don't know if it was a sauce on top or what? Still, a great experience.

We ordered the birria sandwich, think amped up grilled cheese with very tender meat. It comes with the dipping sauce and a side of ultra crispy French fries. Next up is the enchiladas verdes with steak. This dish comes with refried beans and rice. So, so good. Food is not greasy at all. The verde sauce is delicious and not at all spicy. Really tasty. Today was not my first time eating here, and if I'm be truthful , every time I'm in town, I make it a point to stop by. They serve the kind of traditional Mexican breakfast I grew up loving, along with so many other delicious options. The staff is always warm and welcoming, serving every guest with the biggest smiles. You'll also often see the owner walking around as well, checking on tables and making sure everything is going smoothly, which adds such a personal touch. The restaurant itself is clean, beautifully decorated with cultural charm, and filled with the incredible aroma of fresh spices cooking in the kitchen. I always begin with their Café de Olla--a slow-simmered coffee made with raw brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, orange peel, and coffee. It's served hot, full of flavor, and not overly sweet. Honestly, it's the only coffee I'll happily drink without creamer or added sugar. This visit, I ordered the Tamal Montado: two tamales over a bed of creamy black bean sauce, covered with red salsa, then topped with a sunny side egg, avocado, Mexican sour cream, queso fresco, and cilantro. Every bite was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. I finished the meal with a pan dulce, which paired perfectly with the whole experience. I skipped tortillas this time, but they also have a tortilla station where they're made fresh by hand and cooked to order--always a sign you're in the right place!! They're open daily from 7 AM to 3 PM, and if you find yourself in Wilmington, this spot should absolutely be on your list
