I shot here once, nothing too special, except for the much higher prices for range fee and their overpriced gunsmithing service. They outsource their Cerakoting service and charge double the price. For common replacement parts kits (recoil springs, etc) for Sigs and Glocks, their price is 3x MSRP. The staff is not knowledgeable especially when you get knee deep with them about common firearms chat- they repeat company's talking points and gives you vague and highly qualified responses that is too general to be useful. This place caters to complete rookies, amateurs and the "tacticalcool" photo-op community- they even have all these gimmicky packages marketed to those folks. If you are like me who just want to train and sharpen your CCW skills, this place isn't for you. Considering there's a bunch of both indoor and outdoor ranges everywhere in AZ, this place is not a good value. read more

I reached out to Bob Lachniet when I found out he was local through youtube. He put me in touch with Joe Torres at the Tempe location. I was able to take a "holster qualifier" and then shoot at their Monday night match immediately afterwards. I seriously couldn't have been more impressed not just with the staff but also all the shooters at the match. Everyone was nice and super helpful as it was my first ever match. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I went in looking for a magazine for my Glock 17. Of the 3 different brands they carried all were our of stock. After waiting 3 weeks I went back and it was the same case. I asked one of the guys behind the counter when they were expecting more and he said he had no way of knowing and then proceeded to try to send me to Bass Pro Shop and pulled up their website. If I didn't have a gift card here I would never go back. Awful. read more

For the past eight months or so I have been using this range on a regular basis. I totally appreciate how friendly and help the staff is, from the front counter, to the RSOs. to the ladies who facilitate the Women of Steel meetings. ( I went to the one introductory. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me.) And I have to say how much I enjoy all their positive comments on my shooting! Even staff who aren't in the range take notice! Wow! i'd like to say a special shout out to one of the front counter staff, Brandon, who will be leaving soon for the Scottsdale store. Kim was a Godsend especially with me being new to shooting and guns in general. She was very knowledgeable and patient with me, showing me how to hold and fire the gun. LOVE this place! ALL of the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. I purchased MY first gun here (they took our old one in partial trade) and plan to purchase a couple more in the future. They have A LOT of lanes so I haven't had to wait yet to get in some range therapy :) The range is clean, easy to use and I always feel safe shooting there (they always have RSOs walking around). I have also taken 3 handgun classes and a CCW class at C2 and loved each one! I learned so much from each class and my instructor, David Laird, is AWESOME!! David makes sure you understand the material, is FULL of great informaiton and makes sure that the class is fun. I highly recommend taking a class (or 2 or 3 ;)) to expand your gun knowledge and/or as a refresher. In a nutshell: C2 Tactical is the best place for all your firearm needs and David Laird is the BEST instructor you'll get!! read more

I began going to C2 Tactical after getting fed up with other ranges and their unpleasant personnel. I've been to C2 about 4 times so far, and every time I go in, I'm greeted by friendly and helpful personnel. The staff already remembers who I am and they seem to appreciate every potential customer that comes through the door. My girlfriend and I took the P200 pistol class yesterday, which was instructed by Mr. Whittard. He was very knowledgeable and incredibly patient. He stayed after a bit to provide additional advice on firearm control and discuss proper firearm selection. The class was a ton of fun and will NOT be our last. The facilities are extremely well kept and the firearm selection they have is substantial. The prices are also very competitive. The cost of range time is very reasonable and the ranges themselves, both pistol and rifle, are top notch. The range officers, much like the rest of the staff, look like they love what they do and are ready to provide assistance and advice if you want it. All in all, I'm more than happy driving from nearly Avondale all the way to Tempe to shoot at this facility. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone, and everyone one of my family members and friends I've taken to C2, agree. read more

Haven't shot here but I went here to find a Glock G45 MOS under blue label after leaving another shop where one of their customer service reps got very indignant with me after I told him I had gotten a blue label quote on that the particular Glock at a shop in Tucson where I'm from was covered under blue label even though he claimed his listing said it wasn't. Went to C2 and they had them blue label and at a awesome price and their customer service was great! read more

Came here to test out some new magazines and I had Wolf Military Classic ammo. After driving 30 minutes to the range I was told that my ammo was not allowed (as it's a bimetal jacket). I had called this location on three separate occasions to confirm this ammo was allowed before I wasted my time going there and each time told them the specific ammo and they said as long as it was not steel CORE nor a tracer round that it would be okay. They need to update their website if bimetal isn't allowed and also not misinform people who call specifically to check. Despite them lying to me I didn't want to to waste my time so I was going to purchase a couple of pistols and a new rifle, but despite waiting so long for help it never arrived. They easily lost over $2,000 today, maybe help people trying to give you money. Also, on a side note, don't lie to people. read more

My wife and I went here for our "first time for everything date." We did one of their all inclusive shooting range packages. It was a pistol package in which you get 2 handguns and 50 rounds of ammo for each. I thought 50 rounds of Ammo would go by very fast and it would end up being one of the most expensive 15-30 minutes of my life.. however I was wrong. We were there a few minutes longer than an hour and it was one of the funnest things my wife and I have ever done together. The safety instructor Steffen was very cool, patient, and helpful. He made it fun! On top of that, in the short time my wife and I's shooting skill dramatically improved because he was such a good instructor. But not pushy in the slightest. He helped when we wanted help and he was encouraging when we were successful! It was a blast read more

Went in today with a buddy to find a holster and possibly buy a new pistol. After walking around for several minutes I found two holsters and wanted to compare them. Since no one greeted us or decided to help us I proceeded to compare the holsters side by side at the counter. After my friend found help for an optic he wanted to look at, I told the gentleman at the counter I was ready to check out once he was done helping my friend. My friend was done and the sales associate decided to stand there listen to his co workers conversation instead of checking me out. I reminded the gentleman I was ready to check out. He proceeded listen to the conversation and check me out. Once I paid he continued with his conversation and walked away before giving me my receipt. I told the gentleman I needed my receipt. Obviously their conversation about a 72 chevelle was more important than helping me. read more

I will NEVER go back to this range. If you don't want to read my lengthy complaints, read this: Go to Caswells off the 60 in Mesa. Some background, I am an experienced shooter (14 years) and a decorated Navy sharp shooter. I like going to the desert to shoot because in my experience, staff at ranges and usually arrogant dicks. C2 did more than exceed my expectations. Before I walked in, I read their signs to be sure I was meeting their rules walking in open carry. My firearm was clear, though within seconds of walking in, I was approached by a staff member, "before you walk in, will you be sure a round isn't chambered?" First, I did this. Second, how does he know I didn't do this because he asked me to clear before I walked in. I will never unholster my weapon in public unless I intend to fire, and if he wanted me to clear when I walked in, he could have asked me politely when I entered. I apologized, for whatever I did that wasn't as expected and went about my business. When I got to my lane, the range officer noted that the target retrieval device wasn't working properly and moved my to a different lane. I was all ready to shoot, so before I moved, I dropped my clip,cleared my weapon, moved the ammo over to the lane and then came back for the gun. When I did that, the range office said, "you were supposed to holster your weapon." I was somewhat confused, so simply apologized and he further said, "I just told you that." I was wearing two sets of hearing protection and whatever this guy muttered to me, was clearly missed. He was very rude about it after my apology for missing that, when I clearly made an effort to be safe my moving the loaded clip in a separate trip from the empty and cleared gun. I popped off two boxes of ammo, and thought about buying another 50 rounds, so I asked him, "how much do you sell ammo for?" Instead of, "what size?" or "what are you looking for?" The jerk in the most annoyed and matter-of-fact tone of speaking said, "that depends on what caliber." After my purchase I was getting ready to go, my personal items were on a bench behind me and I again made sure the range officer was to see I moved my empty clips separately from the gun to the bench behind me. As I did so, he straight yelled at me, "anytime you are back here you have to holster your weapon." I was confused because I thought he meant 'back here' as back at the lanes, from the store, and you cant fire a weapon in the holster... I then figure out we was referring to back here as behind the yellow line. When I asked for clarification, he thought I was being smart with him and spat more attitude at me. Essentially, This was my first and last experience at this range. I feel that I was targeted as I saw multiple safety violations for other patrons, though this guy for some reason wanted to hold me accountable for all of the unknown (published or spoken) rules of their range. AWFUL, a terrible experience at the Tempe store. I wished to buy a handgun. Was advised by Wes it had to be ordered. How long it would take he did not know. I paid for it. $400 plus. Eleven days later I called back to inquire as to the delivery time. After a lengthy hold time I was advised Wes was not available and heard a dial tone. Called back and after some hassle spoke to James Luhn. He had no idea and transferred me to Chris. Chris, I was advised was in the Scottsdale store and again received a dial tone. Two days later I again called the Tempe store, no Wes so talked to James and was placed on hold while he attempted to find out a delivery date. He said it would be sometime next week. Why? Don't know, it was coming from Prescott and may be due to weather. Really? I asked for the order number to chase it down with the Prescott distributor "Davidson". He didn't have an order number. Next went to Jason Brandon who James says was the manager. No help there either. All this through a maze of telephone holds and disconnects. Somewhere along the way I left a voice message for James Luhn which he said he never received. It's so obvious the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing at the establishment that I cancelled my order (the same order which they couldn't find) and requested a cash back to my credit card. One can only hope. There's a gun shop on every corner and I'll use one to purchase my Beretta. One that will value a customer as C2 Tactical surely does not. read more

I thought I would try out C2 Tactical as it is closer to me than the other range that I usually frequent in Central Phoenix. The staff at this range is not knowledgeable enough to understand the difference between "steel core" and "steel cased" ammo; after getting to the range, signing in, and entering the shooting area, I shot about 20 rounds of tulammo at which point one of the range officers informed me that I couldn't shoot tulammo, then showed me that the tulammo bullet stuck to a magnet. I tried my best to explain to the range officer that the shell casing was steel, which is why the magnet sticks to it; however that specific range officer and other staff did not agree with me. One of the staff said "we can't have steel ammo because it can ricochet and create sparks"... once again I tried to explain that the CASE was steel not the PROJECTILE. To me, this range is using a magnet as a way of making people purchase their specific range ammo (which is overpriced as usual). This is a sick business tactic; additionally I felt as if C2 staff was treating me as if I had no firearms knowledge, this was quite insulting. I recommend trying the other indoor ranges in Phoenix, I have had much better experiences, and the additional drive is worth the better customer service. read more

I went into C2 today and admittedly I haven't used the range but I'm probably not going to. Prices were very high in the store, about average to high for range time but the giant sign outside of the store was extremely off putting. No loaded weapons in the store. No weapons not in holsters or cases. Isn't this a gun range? Everyone in the store is carrying open and customers aren't allowed to? I have countless stores, restaurants, etc that I can carry in but not into a gun range? I'll pass and move on to shooters world, Scottsdale GC, Ben Avery, etc. Location was nice but no thank you. read more

Got a package to shoot rifles for an hour. Having not shot a rifle before we were required to have a range officer with us. He showed up 15 minutes late and left us immediately after we shot our ammo. Overall our 1 hour lane rental turned into 30 minutes. Service was good but I expect to get what I pay for. read more

The store is nice. The range is clean. The guy at the check in desk was polite. The man that barked at me like a naughty stepson, as I was getting more targets, for having a gun on me....well that was not only rude, but also ignorant and disrespectful to do it in such a manner. If they don't want you to have a holstered firearm at a shooting range, that's slightly ridiculous, but okay. However, mine was unloaded, with no magazine, and if he had bothered to access the "situation", he would have seen that. I was getting more targets. Looks like somebody got bored from wearing a vest, 5.11 pants, super tactical gear, and no bad guys to play mall cop with. Next time maybe he will get a real bad guy...darn. My friends and I will not be going back. A shooting range that doesn't allow a holstered weapon in the store, is somewhat of a contradiction. Sorry, but having a bunch of RSOs around wearing tactical ninja gear, doesn't make me feel confident, especially when you can get your RSO certification online. I am required to carry a firearm at work, and I choose to carry one when I'm not working as well. Most shooting ranges and gun stores encourage you to carry a loaded weapon, and learn how to use it. This one just wants your money. They don't want you to actually carry the gun in their presence. Not to mention that, while I was watching a friend shoot, the person next to us was pointing her revolver at her own feet, as an RSO was standing two feet away, doesn't inspire. They sell guns, attempt to teach you how to shoot guns, but certainly don't want you carrying a loaded one. I will go to Ted's if I want to shoot indoors. They love it when you exercise your rights, and don't bark at people. Two stars for a well maintained range and store, and the employees at the front desk were nice. Only two stars because they might as well put a no firearms allowed sticker on the wall. Definately a tactical ninja dojo, full of tactical ninja range safety officers. read more

Really enjoy coming to this range. Staff is always friendly to anyone new to firearms or not. The store has a nice selection of hardware and accessories. I have taken many private instructions from Todd and highly recommend him to anyone. He really loves being an instructor and is really focused on teaching and helping you improve. Waste a lot of money on ammo and keep practicing bad habits or instead spend that money on a private instruction from Todd and really improve your skills. read more

My husband and I love this shooting range! We live in Cave Creek and outside of going in a few times when we were in the area, we hadn't spent a lot of time there until my husband took his NRA Shooting Instructor course. The facilities are very nice and well kept and it makes for a great shooting experience. The staff is nice and knowledge about the products and my husband had nothing but great things to stay about the instructors for his course. I also love that they do events that include their partners and opportunities to demo certain firearms. We have gone to a few events and it's awesome to demo a gun that you may never get to fire/own. I wish we lived closer to the range to enjoy it more frequently but I'm looking forward to their new location opening so we can become members! read more

All the reviews seem to be centered on the range, however I found the retail store to only be so-so. I went in looking for a holster. After wandering around and looking at all the holsters, not only did I not find what I was after, but none of the store employees so much as greeted me, much less offered any assistance. Guess they were more interested in chatting with each other than making a sale. The store was clean and well organized, so no complaints on that front. read more

My niece and went to C2 Tactical so she could learn to shoot for the first time on 10/24/17. It was an OUTSTANDING experience for her (us)! We were especially impressed with the help and training of the staff, especially Erica, the Range Officer at the time. Erica took the time to teach my niece good shooting posture, techniques, and offered correction and drills to help her be comfortable and improve accuracy. out of towner here went there with a buddy and it was both our first times at this range.. i'm pretty much accustomed to arrogant and big attitude compensators(if you know what i mean) in california, but it was much different for me.. upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly staff member asking what we were there for.. obvious by our range bags, we were there to shoot and not just buy stuff so we got our targets, put our pros on and went to our lanes.. the range masters we encountered seemed really nice.. the one that came every now and then if we needed anything was jeremy.. idk his background but he was very friendly to us AND to top it off, the guy who got us settled, when signing in and all that before getting to our lanes, personally came to us to let us know our hour was almost up 10 mins prior.. that was totally awesome i know prices may be higher for merchandise here, i particularly noticed it on pmags, but i'm a customer service kind of guy.. not that i would pay more for goods, but i'd gladly pay more for better quality services and to be in a friendly place if this place is still around the next time i come around, i'm definitely coming here again read more
