I could hear water running in my main level bathroom, but I could not figure out where it was leaking. I tried shutting off the water main but was having issues with that as well. I called C4, and Mark showed up within 15 minutes, had the ceiling cut out and located the leak within 10 minutes, and had everything repaired and operational within an hour and a half. I don't have the slightest idea what the going rate for a plumber is so I can't say if his prices were fair or not. I can say that I was very pleased with his response and his work. C4/Mark Canty damaged our home and refuses to pay for the repair. They installed two toilets, both of which leaked and caused damaged to our ceiling and drywall. The leaks continued after C4 attempted three repair attempts, each one worse than the previous. C4 also used the wrong size piping when they worked on our shower water supply and the soldering was not done correctly. Again, this resulted in a leak. C4 also incorrectly shut off our water line from our laundry room to the exterior faucet. Yet again, this inadequate work caused a leak. C4/Mark Canty went radio silent on us when we tried to get him to repair C4's subpar work and take responsibility for the damage done to our house. After many months, we had to hire someone else to do the work correctly and we had to pay another vendor to repair the ceilings and drywall that had been damaged by C4. C4/Mark Canty refused to reimburse us for the repairs we had to do as a result of the damage he/his company caused. We won a claim against C4/Mark Canty in court, but Mark Canty provided the court with incorrect bank account information, so the court was not able to draft the money that C4/Mark Canty to pay us for the damage done to our house by his company's unacceptable work. Mark is incredible. We had a gas leak that he accurately diagnosed. He got us scheduled quickly, and communicated with us at every step of the way. He went above and beyond throughout the whole project. It was clear he genuinely cared that we were safe in our home. He worked long hours in order to help us get back into our home quickly. I found C4 plumbing when I was shopping for someone to install a replacement garbage disposal. The first plumbing company I called wanted an installation fee of $400.00 plus a trip fee of $70.00. I called C4 and the price was $299.00 and no trip fee. Since that time, Mark has replaced my 27-year-old hot water heater that was leaking water and one of the toilets that ran water after flushing. In August, there was an issue with the kitchen sink drainage that caused water from one side to go into the other side of the sink. Mark wasn't available for the appointment we had scheduled, so I called Dr. Fix It. The plumber tried to unclog the drain, but could not. When a camera was snaked into the drain, it went 18 feet and stopped. Dr. Fix It gave me a $4,000.00 estimate to re-route the drainage system. I called Mark and requested he do the work. He did, for just over $1200.00. For everything he has done in my house, and I have had my fair share of plumbing issues this year, I have not had any issues with any of the work he has done. My water system repair was in a tight space, hard to get to, and compounded by other difficulties, including never at the best time to fail.But Technician M, made a quick evaluation, offered a quote, and was finished within an hour. Caught a leak from our kitchen sink basket and Jeremiah came out the next morning. Fixed it all up and gave us the chance to swap out some of the problematic piping that was causing some unrelated odor issues. Not the cheapest guys around but you get what you pay for, *especially* with plumbing. I know first hand that water has a way of making you ultimately pay for shoddy work so it was worth it to have a master plumber service something we use so often. After the job was done I had asked about a purifying system and he was ready with literature and was very knowledgeable on just about everything I asked him. My kitchen sink lost pressure in the middle of cleaning up after dinner. I tried to Google a few things because hey, maybe it was simple, right? So, after several hours and a huge, watery mess, I called C4 Plumbing. They amswered their phone right away and were able to come out within a couple of hours. The technician was there exactly on time and got to work right away. He also spotted some leaking hoses that I didn't know were needing replacement. Update for my review just beware of plumbing companies that just throw out a quote after a quick assessment by walking through and doing nothing. My problem wasn't even plumbing related it was a leak dripping from my hot water heater into the floor missing the drain pipe causing the leak in the ceiling below. So if they were so professional they would have found out the real cause and not trying to get over with outrageous quotes. When you have someone to come to assess the issue whether they charge a trip charge or not you would expect them to be honest this is not the case with this company. I would be wary of using this company. Witness their driver in a wrapped van get over without a blinker and there was a car in the lane right next to him. And he kept going all the way. Luckily the lady saw him at the last second and swerved causing a big truck in the fast lane to have to swerve too otherwise it would have been hit by her. Super careless and due to the fact of the lack of blinker, it's apparent that the driver could care less about other people. I suspect that reflects in the quality of the work. Do not use this company! We made an appointment and were told the person would be here from 9:00-11:00. We switched our work schedules around to make sure that we would be available to explain the plumbing problems we were having. We called the company at 11:15 because nobody had shown up. Nobody answered the phone so I left a voicemail. 11:30, called again, no answer. Thought maybe they were having trouble with their phone lines so I emailed and left a message on Facebook Messenger. STILL no reply. At noon, we finally got a call saying they would be here in 45 minutes. At 12:50, they finally showed up. The kid looked like he was 18 years old but we gave him the benefit of the doubt because everyone has to start somewhere. He was nice enough but he had no idea what he was doing. He kept calling someone else on the phone and asking questions. He was asking us questions which we didn't know the answer to (that's why we called a plumber in the first place)! He finally figures out the problem and leaves to buy parts. An hour and a half later, he returns with the parts. We are now close to 4 o'clock. Turns out, he couldn't find the right part, so he takes a hacksaw and saws off the end of the valve handle because it's too long! Then he proceeds to take our small trash can, dumps the trash out ON OUR FLOOR and uses it as a bucket to catch the water! Seriously!? Next, he starts to solder the pipes together and instead of putting some protection over the insulation he burns through the plastic and fills our house with acrid smoke. Around 5:30, he is finally done. We pay $700 for incredibly bad service just to get it over with. The next day, we realize that he didn't put the manhole cover back on our main water line correctly after our kids tripped over it. In the process of putting it back on, we realize that he has stripped the bolt. Terrible experience! We will never use this company again and would not recommend anyone using them either! The reason my husband gave permission to saw the handle off was because the worker said he couldn't find any other parts. What else were we supposed to do? This had been an ALL DAY fiasco. I hired C4 plumbing to come check out my nonfunctional air conditioner in early April. Two younger guys came to diagnose and clean my AC on 4/7. The workers power washed my AC unit before telling me that was their plan, and now the AC won't switch on at all. They told me that I was "low on freon" but they didn't have any freon available and would get back to me. Despite my calling multiple times and getting a promise of service and "put on the schedule" on several different days, I still have a nonfunctional AC unit a full month later. I have a medical condition that makes me particularly sensitive to being exposed to heat for prolonged periods of time, so this entire month of fluctuating temps has resulted in making me quite ill. I'm fully aware that air conditioners are closed units that are designed to not allow freon to escape, and that freon doesn't need to be replaced or "topped up." Instead, my unit is probably leaking. I'm also aware that power washing an AC until will most likely damage the coil. I'm not thrilled that the AC techs either thought they could scam a woman or that they weren't knowledgeable enough to diagnose, clean, and fix the AC properly. I should have listened to the negative reviews before hiring. Zero stars. read more

We had a Saturday evening plumbing emergency (sewer water backing up into our basement). After calling about 10 companies that didn't answer or didn't have availability, C4 came to the rescue. They had a technician available in 2 hrs, and he ended up arriving 90 min later. Mark got right to work on our main line, and had to get a longer snake due the distance to the tap. Even though it took him much longer than normal and he had to use two machines, he did not add any additional charges. He was also friendly and explained everything that he was doing. The provided an estimate to properly bolt down 2 existing toilets for $600. Mark discovered that they did not have toilet flanges. Toilet flanges cost about $31 ea. He did indicate that it would add to the cost. The total cost came to $1,157 for 2.5 hours of his time and energy. There was no breakdown of time and materials. Mark is honest and reasonably priced. I won't contact any other plumbers for services in the future, based on some of my past experiences described below. My water heater stopped working after about 16 years. I called around and emailed several places, and the lowest quote I got to replace it was about $1500 on Yelp and $1350 at Home Depot. Mark, the owner, responded with a MUCH lower price and said I could provide my own water heater if I wanted. I'm always skeptical of the amount of markup, but after I picked up my own at Home Depot I realized that it couldn't have been marked up much and it really wasn't worth the trouble. About 6 months before, I had an issue with the thermocoupler and I was quoted $1850 to replace the water heater and $400 to replace the thermocoupler by TJ Christensen, because it was an old unit and they didn't make the part anymore. I went with the repair, because it was such a significant price difference and we'd been without hot water for a couple days. If I had known Mark at the time, I would have just replaced the entire unit and saved myself a lot of time, money, and frustration. read more

We had C4 plumbing come in to replace a 2 foot section of ABS drain pipe. The final charge was $900 with a 10% discount. The actual labor took less a half an hour. Complete ripoff!
