In the end, the project took 6 weeks. For a simple patio, a small dog run and a rock weed barrier. Lucy tried to sneak fees in and without my approval, had her workers rip out 2 of my bushes. After complaining, they replanted them days later but the plants did not survive. They also damaged my drip system (they did fix it after I brought to their attention) also, the workers left trash in the yard. John was kind and understanding but I will continue to tell my neighbors to stay away from them.

We are replacing an old, cracked cement pad to prepare for the addition of a patio covering. We wanted to lay down something that looked attractive and inviting, unlike regular cement, while staying within budget. After reviewing a few bids and meeting with Roberto, this company was the clear choice. And we are so glad we selected Brisenos. Throughout the process, Roberto was super helpful. He walked us through various options regarding size and concrete color/surface, and helped us select just exactly what we were looking for. Roberto and his crew efficiently removed and hauled away the old concrete, and prepared the site with rebar. Yesterday morning a crew of 9 arrived to quickly lay down the concrete, carefully smooth it, and apply the stamp we had selected. He checked in with me several times to explain the process and get my input on small, final details. As a nice surprise, off to the side he even arranged a small oval for us to leave our mark - hand and dog prints - which we will be able to place wherever we want in our yard just for fun. :) Roberto also provided much needed advice regarding how long to keep our dogs off the surface while it cures, etc. He and his crew will be back in a couple of weeks to apply a sealer. He will also engineer and lay down a drain pipe to take care of a lower area where water has always pooled. He is a FULL SERVICE kind of guy! After weeks of not getting return calls, dealing with contractors who didn't listen to simple details, and shutting down some straight up bullies, I stumbled upon TCW on Google. Tommy is the real deal. He communicates, is efficient and exceptionally intuitive. Fancy way of saying he gets it. His bid was super fair, and well below (thousands) all the other bids we got. I was upfront about this, not wanting him to have underbid materials....His response was that he knew what other people *could* charge, and he doesn't think it's right....What!? TCW helped me liaison and better communicate with our engineer saving time and simplifying the design, saving more money. The crew they sent was incredible, and that communication thing carried right over with these guys. My foundation is perfect and the TuffShed pre-build inspection rep said it was one of the best he's seen....even though the day before the install they realized their plans were unclear and the doorway needed to be 5 inches wider by the next morning or they would cancel....I called Tommy and his guy responded in 3 hours and zipped open the door to the correct size! Saved us a minimum 30 day reschedule! TCW is now our go to concrete and hardscape company in the MotherLode and we are inspired to fix the rest of this 1920's gem. Project Basement is next!
