I expected it to be a dense, hard cake, but it was surprisingly soft, moist, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. I'm a big fan of this item. The buckwheat ginger cake was also incredibly delicious. It was moist and carefully made, with a strong ginger flavor that I really liked. It was similar to a pound cake but more unique than I expected. I'll definitely get this one again. The flatbread was also very delicious. Thinly sliced potatoes were on top of the well-seasoned bread, which had the perfect texture between hard and soft. It was so good! This bakery truly deserves high rating and is well worth visiting. I can't wait to come back and try other items.

Also, I didnt like thay they added so much sugar to the Graham Cracker crust. The Spumoni Bar tasted mostly of coconut, but the bar was super flavorful and tasty. The Cheesy Bar cheesecake texture was nice and light. The Fruity Bar was very tasty. Although I wouldn't say that it tasted like strawberry. I liked the crunchy texture from the white chocolate covered rice krispies. I liked the Matcha it could have used a touch more matcha, but I know not everyone likes a super strong matcha flavor. My top picks would be SpumoniBar, Matcha, and Fruity Bar. However, I feel that all of the bars could use more flavor. Additionally, I would like to note the fantastic customer service that I received. I had a dog with me and she has major separation anxiety. We were so impressed with the staff at L'atelier. They know their stuff and their recommendations are top notch. The bakery itself is so cute and modern and fun. I loved that you could sit outside even in the rain because they have stellar permanent awnings.

Overall, it was just average. We also ordered the Strawberry Pistachio Tart. The strawberries were fresh with a nice balance of sweetness, and there was a good amount of pistachio chunks. However, it lacked the layers of flavor that make a tart memorable. On the bright side, the coffee was excellent and easily my favorite part of the visit. I'd happily come back for a coffee, but I'd probably try different pastries next time.
