I have been to Ca' Dario a number of times and I can certainly say that their food is great but my review is going to focus primarily on the changes to the cost of their food. I can definitely understand a business needing to increase prices on food, many dishes seem to have been raised about 10-15% which isn't too bad. However, it seems outrageous to me that they have raised the cost of pizzas by 30-50%. The most egregious and almost impossible to justify is a 50+% increase on the cost of a Margherita pizza. The pizza was $8.00 before and now it has gone to $12.50. It brings the cost of it to the same level as their other pizzas with many ingredients. I would definitely pay close attention to prices when coming here in the future. If you haven't been to Ca' Dario in a while, make sure you double check the price of your favorite dish! read more

Just perfect. This is a lovely date restaurant, or for a special meal. The dishes were extraordinary. I had Fruti de Mari (spaghetti with shell fish, little neck clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari, and a whole prawn on top). Wow the sauce was fresh, and the fresh andante pasta was exquisite. My husband had classic spaghetti & meatballs. He said it was the best. The simple farmers greens (locally grown extremely tasty greens) were a sime yet delicious starter. I cannot say enough about the lovely patio ~ which was wonderful, truly a gift during these challenging covid days. I was so appreciative to eat at a fine dining restaurant during some of the most difficult times for restaurants. Absolutely delicious well seasoned / fall off the bone lamb shank and spicy spinach soup. The kids loved the pizza and devoured the first one, so we ordered another. For desert the kids split a gelato and the staff split it into three bowls, added a cookie, and whipped cream. A super friendly staff that catered to our every desire. We were staying at the Ritz, but looking to leave the property for a nice meal. The food was very good. Enjoyed some apps, pastas, and the bone in veal cutlet (recommend). I was craving some pasta so I decided to check this place out after seeing some pictures of their food on Yelp. I got the special seafood pasta, which had fish, clams, and a prawn on top. The portion was decent and flavor was ok. I thought it would be a little more flavorful. I also ordered the fried calamari and it also included a prawn. The calamari had good flavor but I thought it would've been more crispy or breaded. The bread came with a oil mixed with some type of seasoning which tasted really good. Had the Caesar's Salad with double portion of shrimp. My friend had same with chicken. it was 8 small shrimp on chopped lettuce and oil, salt and pepper. No dressing. it was a 0/5 but had to give it 1. The worst $75 ever spent. There is no way the owner oversees this. I came once before and had spaghetti and meatballs. I recently visited Cardio's new location in Goleta and was really impressed. Good service, excellent and authentic food! It was so hard to decide on an entree because everything looked so good. I choose a special with scallops in a saffron cream sauce (after just telling the table I ruined a dish with saffron) and it was heavenly. I ordered tiramisu for dessert and went home happy. I wish I took a picture but we received the most expensive and tiniest Ceasar salad in a round foil container for $14 but at least the 2oz dressing was good. The pizza and risotto were good and well made. Unfortunately though there were fruit flies trying to get into the wine, and the appetizer we ordered was served to us stone cold. The server took it back and had it remade but then we were just sitting for 15 minutes, again. When a different server brought my husbands risotto they hadn't made my pizza so my dish was probably 5-7 minutes later at the table. Overall not a great experience. read more

Came here on a Friday night after calling for a last minute res. We were warmly greeted and seated in the back patio area, which is actually quiet and relativeky secluded compared to inside. Everyone enjoyed their dinners, which included a regular Margherita pizza, a gluten free pizza, and a traditional spaghetti and meatballs. The gluten free pizza was amazing, as it was clearly handmade and not previously frozen as most places do, and finished in a wood fire pizza oven same as the regular pizza. The spaghetti and meatballs were on point, noodles cooked just right and sauce was seasoned just right, meatballs small but tender. Tina was great as our server, super friendly and courteous. Table service was exceptional too, constantly filling our water glasses and checking if we needed anything. Fresh bread served with olive oil, balsamic, and parmesan cheese. Thanks to COVID-19 got to eat outside on a tailgate of a truck and the server let us take our glasses of wine with us! When it our history could we have done this? Alex was so accommodating. Came here for a few drinks with colleagues to celebrate the end of a 4 day audit (aka hell week), so we needed a place to have a few glasses of classy wine and vent about the event. This place was a nice choice! Their wine list is wonderful, granted I didn't almost order a captain Fatty's glass of beer because I couldn't understand the Italian wording..aha. They have elegant seating arrangements (clean white tablecloths), a classy bar, and a patio. We chose to sit outside because of the nice weather. It smelt a little questionable outside (weird observation, I know), but I think that was because they had just finished painting the exterior (I think?). Words can't express how excited I am that there is a Ca'Dario site in Goleta! The interior is twice as big as the downtown one, our go to site, and has lots of parking that is shared with the new Target! This is going to be our new date night place! We ordered this amazing appetizer with seafood in an absolutely mouth-watering tomato sauce. We moved on to our entrees, the tagliatelle with ragout sauce and the osso buco. You can't go wrong with either dish and they are absolutely divine. We saved space for dessert and topped the night off with tiramisu.
