This is the best Italian food I have had in a very long time. Amazing fresh delicious! This will be our go to from here on out!! The service was great! Family owed!

Found my new favorite spot for a hearty dinner. The lasagna was rich and authentic. Definitely coming back when I need a serious carb fix!

Came for the comfort food and it did not disappoint. The baked pasta was piping hot, loaded with sauce, and perfectly cheesy. You can't go wrong with the garlic bread on the side either. A total classic.

Great service. Great atmosphere. I enjoy local small places. Does not have the heavy sauce feel. Light n fresh. I plan to try more. I had the half spaghetti n ravioli. I ate the whole thing. Topped with meat sauce. It was not so meaty... light. Still i want more. 3.5 for food. Its good, but...that pizza crust was burnt. No harm done, theres alot on top. 6 for the service! Great atmosphere.

While recently visiting Santa Barbara to see Family on a quick turn and burn after driving six hours, we went to this restaurant and I must say it was not a good experience for a table of six and a bill over $100 the service with subpar at best. I live in the Napa Valley but I've lived in Santa Barbara and My Son was actually born. There lived there five years and never had an experience like I did visiting family the waitress although I don't know her name was rude abrupt assaulted verbally my 87-year-old grandmother by snatching her to go box out of her hand telling her she was doing it wrong this after all the food came in increments. My food came when everybody at my table had already finished. I reached out to the owner of this establishment and he never offered an apology. He did say that she's a little abrasive. She's been with them a long Time when you're an industry of service there's no time for abrasive whether you've got longevity or grandfathered in your serving the public and she was awful and her tip reflected that I reiterated that to the owner of the establishment he said that he would have a conversation with her and call me back that was two weeks ago going on three and I've yet to hear anything from him some businessman he is with making the customer happy after a horrible evening in his restaurant. I wouldn't recommend going there unless you're good with your service being rude.. I'd give this place 1 star I've had better food in Goleta . Shame on you for excusing bad behavior sats more about who you are .

First time trying with my family. Food is delicious and the servers are very kind. They have a wide variety of Italian foods and vegetarian options :)

I ordered the spaghetti with plain marinara sauce, and there was barely any sauce on the spaghetti. The garlic bread was also very dry.

Amazing service! Everyone was very attentive and friendly. The place was cozy. Plenty of seating and one of the things that my family noticed was the light bulbs had a dimming pant on the bottom part that made it so much nicer. Now the food! This place has officially ruined all other Italian restaurants for my family! We loved EVERYTHING we ordered! I don't normally like tiramisu but I even asked if they sell it a whole one because I would have ordered it for my birthday cake! I highly recommend going there and trying off everyone's order. We did soups, meals and shared desserts for 4 people and it was about $120ish. Very reasonably priced

There were definitely aspects of the…read moreexperience that I enjoyed, but a few issues with the food prevented the meal from living up to its potential. For my entree, I ordered the Costolette d'Angello alla Griglia, the grilled lamb chops served with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The lamb was okay, but it arrived more warm than hot and the accompanying mashed potatoes were a disappointment. They arrived noticeably cold in the center, giving the impression that they had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. Unfortunately, those temperature inconsistencies distracted from the dish and even made me question whether everything had been plated and served at its best. The lamb chops were okay overall, but the execution left something to be desired. I also tried the Linguine con Vongole (clam pasta). The flavors were fine and the dish was enjoyable enough, but diners should be aware that there were some broken shell fragments and bits of sand mixed in with the clams. While that can occasionally happen with shellfish dishes, it was noticeable enough that I found myself eating a little more cautiously than I would have liked. One aspect of the restaurant that stood out was the atmosphere. The environment has a distinctive character and personality that makes it feel different from many of the other dining options in SB. It certainly adds to the overall experience. The service was somewhat slow during my visit, though the staff remained friendly and courteous throughout the evening. Overall, this place offered an interesting atmosphere and friendly service, but the food execution felt inconsistent. Between the warm lamb, cold mashed potatoes, and shell fragments in the linguine, the meal didn't quite meet expectations. There's potential here, but a little more attention to detail in the kitchen would go a long way.

The cocktail menu had some clever mixes, and the wine menu offered plenty (maybe even too many) suggestions. SERVICE - Overall service was attentive and effective. The staff worked with our needs and handled a couple of unexpected situations (a couple in our party unexpectedly showing up with their kids in tow) with aplomb. AMBIANCE - While you can't really see much of the ocean, the front windows face it from across the closest street, and the sense of it being there (especially with the windows open) counts for a lot. The house itself is upscale decorated and set. VALUE - Upscale and food and service matches the upscale prices, but it felt like we got worth for what what paid. We paid a bit over $100 a person -- but that included cocktails and wine (and the two kids, who got plates of their own). NET-NET - We're not locals, but Toma is definitely going on our list for any future visits we make to Santa Barbara.

My boss and fellow foodie listed Loquita as one of his recommendations and I've been meaning to…read moretry it. I only go to Santa Barbara once a year for Fiesta and I finally was able to try them. Everything I ate was delicious! I started out with the Bengala de Granada, which was a mocktail of pentire coastal spritz, pomegranate, ginger, lime, cinnamon, and clove. It was so refreshing on a hot Fiesta day. Under the Bocaditos menu, we ordered the denia (confit tomato, cured bluefin tuna) and the croquetas de seta (porcini and truffle with a saffron aioli). The denia set the tone for dinner with the bright acidity of the tomato with the salty tuna. The croquetas were rich of umami flavor with an undertone of truffle that paired well with the brightness of the saffron. Under the charcuterie menu, we got the jamón tasting that included pan con tomate. The tomatoes were bright and paired well with the different salty hams, which were serrano, ibérico, and iberico chorizo. For the tapas, we got the tortilla española, patatas bravas, broccolini, and the ensalada mediterránea. It was a good balance of light and heavy dishes. The broccolini and salad were the light dishes. The broccolini was nicely seared and the romesco sauce added a nutty flavor. The Mediterranean salad was herbaceous with pops of richness from the manchego cheese. The rest were on the heavier side. Though, the eggs of the tortilla española were incredibly fluffy. It was like biting into a cloud. The potatoes were also soft. It was a comforting dish. And then there were the patatas bravas, my favorite tapa! They were slightly crisp with a bit of heat from their house sauce and garlic aioli. Each bite was as satisfying as the next. And then the star of the show came right when we finished most of the tapas - the chorizo and chicken paella. The rice was pressed against the pan so every bite had that prized soccarat. The char of the soccarat harmonized with the depthness of the tomato and other aromatics in the rice. It was luxurious. And the chicken was juicy and had a wonderful smoky flavor. The portions of chicken, chorizo, and mushrooms were generous! It can definitely feed a family of six, so we were able to have leftovers as we were a family of three. And it was even better the next day! No matter how full we are, we always have dessert to share. We ordered the crema catalana, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. It was silky smooth and the caramel flavor went so well with the sweet and slightly tart Santa Barbara strawberries. I imagine this restaurant is always busy, but it was even more so during Fiesta. It's loud inside and out, but it's adds to the festive vibes. Service was excellent! I very much appreciated that our waiter confirmed our allergies. He even put the romesco sauce on the side just in case since it had almonds. Luckily, my nut allergy is contained to only pine nuts because I enjoyed the sauce very much. I recommend eating outside to enjoy their patio space. Since they only open for dinner, the heat isn't as bad since it gets cooler around the time they open. Loquita is at the start of the Funk Zone. So parking is extremely limited. Best to walk or ride-share there. I don't think I can wait for the next Fiesta to dine here again. I hope to be back sooner.

My friend and I didn't have reservations but we got lucky sitting at the bar because we got there at 6 and there wasn't any available seating until 9pm. But I am so happy we didn't go elsewhere! Next up the FOOOOODDD! My friend and I decided to just order apps unfortunately and we ordered the Mejillones (hope ranch mussels) and LET. ME. TELL. YOU....ive never tasted smoked bread sooo good paired with the red sauce and mussels! It was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth. And I am so sad I can't have this everyday!! Another winner was the Pulpo (Spanish octopus)! The pulpo was sooo tender and paired soo well with the puree. I have to say that I NEEED to come back to taste more of their menu because it was soo good. The restaurant itself felt very intimate and inviting. Sitting at the bar you get to observe the flow of the staff and I have to say that although it was busy, nothing looked chaotic. Everyone had a specific job and it was done well. The kitchen was visible through glass windows and even in there seemed to be organized. I honestly give this place a 10/10. I hope to be back soon because I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
