Wanted to love you so much but SB Pizza Co- you fell short of my great expectations! Ordered the veggie which was supposed to have mushrooms, onions, peppers .. all I tasted was tomato sauce (tasted like prego sauce in a jar), and heavy garlic and olives. The bottom of the pizza wasn't even fully cooked- It was very moist and all sauce- Not enough cheese. Wish I had something better to say. Chicago style pizza is so hard to find and finding a good one is even harder. I'll continue my search.

No water refills or check ins. Waited 30 minutes for the check despite asking over 3 times. had to approach the counter myself

I was very excited to try deep dish pizza since I was missing Lou Malnatis. Found this place on yelp and decided to try it. Walked in to a party of 4 waiting in front of us. The workers were milling about by the register initially not really acknowledging anyone. Some of them went off to bring things to customers and walked by the waiting customers multiple times without saying anything. After waiting for a bit, a waiter finally came over to seat the first party. When he came back, I had to catch his attention for him to acknowledge us and seat us. Pizza was just ok for me. Got the La Cumbre deep dish but they should really rename it to La Chode-bre cuz it was definitely not deep enough. No where close to Lou Malnatis but that is definitely a high bar to set for them. Pizza was way too salty for my taste. Not worth the price. Service was nonexistent. The waiters and waitresses never stopped by to check in or refill water. After a slice and a half, my mouth was dry as the Sahara dessert with my cells desiccating from sodium overload I asked for the check and a box from one of the waitresses. Waited 10 minutes. Asked another waitress. She got me a box but said she did not know who was in charge of my check but will ask. Waited some more and noticed the guests at my neighboring table were also trying to check out. The sharp customers astutely pointed out that they did not receive any service either but were charged a 20% service fee and asked for this to be removed. They had the exact same issues I had with this establishment. I waited for about 30 minutes total just trying to pay my bill and leave. I had to go up to the counter to ask for the bill. Instead of apologizing, the woman (who I assume to be the owner) was just making excuses saying her employees were college students and they were busy. I initially planned to tip but felt they did not earn it at this point and also asked for the 20% to be removed. She gave lots of push back and excuses trying to bully me into it (felt much more forceful than with the other two customers - not sure if it's because I was alone and a small statured female). She finally took it off but did not return my card after I signed the receipt and tried to send me off without it. I had to snatch my card back.

We had a lovely time here. The ambiance is so nice and server was very attentive. We ordered the State Street deep dish. It was super yummy!! Loved the balance of cheese and all other toppings. Crust was also very good. We got the Mediterranean salad too which was very well flavored with olives and feta cheese! Highly recommend this place!

I enjoyed this place more than I thought I would! It was fairly empty on a Sunday evening. To start we got the spinach and artichoke dip. It was very cheesy and yummy and I would definitely order it again. The bread slices are kinda small so we got more since we had lots of dip left over. They did charge for the bread refill. We wanted to order a pasta dish that was outside on the menu but not on the menu we were given after we got seated at the table. They said they didn't have it at the moment so we couldn't order it. It looked like the only vegetarian pasta item on the menu. However the server said they could make any of the dishes vegetarian for us thankfully. We got the pesto pasta and it was so good. It was simple but very flavorful and noodles were cooked well. The quantity was also huge. The pizza we got was good too and came with bell peppers, olives and mushrooms. The food comes out super fast and the service is pretty good.

Oh my gosh, so amazingly delicious! The service is top-tier and the employees are so friendly and sincere. I can't wait to be back and try the other pizzas. I ordered the Linden and it was spectacular; the ingredients are so fresh. I never eat pizza crust at the end of the slice, but this crust was beyond words. The establishment is very welcoming and clean and has abundant natural light. Thank you, Erin, for hosting our Next Door group for Valentine's Day!

My friends and I went to Santa Barbara for the day and took the train. We shared a 12" La Cumbre and we were stuffed. A 10" might've suited us better, but it was delicious and we pretty much finished it! The service was great. My friend even forgot her bag and one of the staff members tried to go looking for her before we came back. We sat outside and it was fun to people watch, however, the inside looked nice as well.

We had dinner at the Santa Barbara Pizza House Saturday, July 4, 2026. Got the 10" Chicago style deep dish pizza the State Street. Man was that ever good! The crust is flaky and buttery, full of the toppings, rich tomato sauce, mozzarella, we learned was FRESH grated, not pre-grated from a bag, pepperoni, mushrooms, green bell pepper, white onions, olives and fresh basil! Oh so so good! That night the restaurant was full of people and we were told there would be a wait for a table. We decided to hang at the bar and ate dinner there. Erin, the manager, is very accommodating, and got our order in quickly so we could eat and go see the fireworks display on the beach. We were served immediately, husband got beer, I got Chardonnay, no waiting except for the pizza to cook. We got salads to eat while the pizza cooked and the greens were fresh and crisp! I got the Keep It Basic, husband got the Caesar. Salads were served immediately. Erin's daughter Nicole kept checking on us politely made sure we were happy. We had to leave promptly to get to the fireworks, and Erin got our pizza boxed up and the check. The teamwork at this restaurant is amazing! The food is wonderful! We will return on our next trip to Santa Barbara!

State street has a lot of options. SB Pizza is an open air pizza joint with plenty of tvs and music for a great ambiance. Food was great and service was on point.

AMBIANCE - While you can't really see much of the ocean, the front windows face it from across the closest street, and the sense of it being there (especially with the windows open) counts for a lot. Later we also shared a figgy piggy, which was probably our favorite slice. The fig matched the bacon flavor with perfect balance. Finally we got a cookie to go. Amazingly crispy on the edges and soft in the middle, with pools of bittersweet chocolate, butterscotch chips and a dash of flaky sea salt. We literally walked away in a haze. We are still wondering if that pizza experience truly happened to us.
