People who grew up in a small town…read moretypically knew the one mechanic to go to for great service, fair prices and an honest assessment of the service to be performed. That mechanic would come out to greet you when you entered the shop while wiping his or her hands with a rag. You would be greeted by name, after you'd been there a time or two, and you would have a quick conversation, not to talk about the repairs to be done but just to catch up. Well friends, this is that mechanic in Liberty Hill. His name is JD. My truck is 12 years old and has started having things go awry that are simply due to age and long use. I've bounced around from shop to shop hoping to find a mechanic like JD. I've visited those shops you walk into only to be greeted by one of the sales guys who are simply there to inflate the number of repairs that are needed and to convince you their high prices are justified. You get none of that from JD. He asks for the symptoms of the problem and then he gives a quick assessment of the problem based on his years of experience vehicles similar to yours. On my first visit I immediately knew he understood the specific problem with my truck because he'd personally made the same repair many times. Probably the best compliment I can give JD is this is a shop my Dad would have taken his car to for service. He would have appreciated the simple, honest relationship he could have with him knowing he could count on him to take care of his vehicle quickly and efficiently. That's my experience. The shop proceeded with work without clearly communicating the scope, process, or total cost upfront. I ended up paying around $1,000 expecting the issue to be properly resolved. Within about a month, the exact same problem came back and the vehicle began dumping fuel, running poorly, and became undriveable. I had to tow it back to the shop. At that point, instead of standing behind their work, they initially tried to charge me again to fix the same issue. I was also told, without any proof, that someone else may have worked on the vehicle. After pushing back, they did additional work and returned the vehicle but the same issue came back immediately the same day I picked it up. At this point, I've lost confidence in their ability to properly diagnose or repair the vehicle. Between the repeated failure, lack of accountability, and poor communication, this has been a frustrating and costly experience. If you're considering using this shop, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing upfront and being cautious. Based on my experience, I would not return.

When I took my car in, the salesperson (Darren) took less than 20 minutes to check it out to make sure it matched the pics and description, and then paid the agreed-upon price, without trying to offer less. He also paid for an Uber to take me back home. If there's a way this could have gone better, I can't think of it.

I have a 2025 RAV4, and a strap from a bag became caught in the rear hatch. The hatch would not open, the interior lights would not turn off, and the vehicle beeped continuously while I was driving. I first contacted Toyota of Cedar Park, where I leased the vehicle, but they could not see me for almost a week and made no effort to take a quick look or offer any assistance. I then called Toyota of Round Rock. Although they were also fully booked, they told me to come in and they would see if they could work me in or at least take a look at the problem. I live in Leander, so it was nearly a 30 minute drive, but I was very grateful that they were willing to try to help. When I arrived, Eduardo was incredibly kind and understanding. He initially explained that they did not have any appointments available and that I might need to leave the vehicle overnight. However, when he saw how upset I was, he kindly offered to take a quick look himself. Within about 10 seconds, he identified the problem, pulled the trapped strap free, and everything was working perfectly again. What impressed me most was not simply that Eduardo fixed the problem so quickly. It was his compassion, patience, and willingness to help when I was stressed and unsure of what to do. He could easily have turned me away because they were fully booked, but instead, he took a moment to listen and assist me. I I was put off by the service department because they made it so for me to bring my Tundra in to have a technician evaluate a cracked windshield. The receptionist told me that I would have to leave my Tundra overnight to allow the technician to evaluate the windshield which would probably take less than 5 minutes.
