I went here steady, not because they do a better job than anywhere else around but because it's clean. But I have had enough of the overpriced services that are horrible quality. They wet your feet, push your cuticle and pretend to cut them. Slap some sticky gross nail polish on and send you on your way. They yap and yap and yap the whole time you're sitting there trying to relax. Most of them don't speak any English at all, even the basic words ; cut, file etc. even if you use pantomime. I made my last visit this Thursday when I had someone who didn't know what she was doing did my pedicure. I am so tired of getting crap service no matter how much I willing to pay. Oh and this place will push gel and get disgruntled when you just want regular. Sorry but I don't want anymore chemicals in my body. read more

DO NOT COME HERE FOR BUILDER GEL REMOVAL. My nail beds are in so much pain and my nails have been left so brittle. Notice how my pinky nail is normal but everything else is red and clearly over filed. I honestly don't even know why the woman went in for a second round of electric filing after soaking my nails. Could have easily just scraped them off. I've never had this issue before, beware! Oh and also when I tried to remove my hands at one point because I felt uneasy, the woman just glared at me instead of asking me what was wrong. To think I just paid some $50 for a pedicure and it looks like a partially blind kindergartner worked on my feet. It's really no good pedicure spots in the bay area. This is so beautiful on the inside you wouldn't think that they serviced so poorly. I don't think everyone in this shop is licensed either. Please save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I have been coming to Cabana nails for YEARS and I am not sure if it was sold or what but today I go in for a regular fill. I get a new young lady who explained she would take off my color and someone else would do my nails. Cool. But it was obvious she was new at it. No problem we are new at something at some point. The problem came when the next person pulled out a small plastic box with a label that clearly read "soil tools." I immediately asked why it said that and she mumbled something. I said I can't hear and said soil means dirty. She mumbled something again. So I point blank asked her when where these implements last cleaned? By this point the girl next to her said something to her but I did not understand what because it was not in English. The girl started to take the drills she intended to use on me put in a dirty small glass container and pour alcohol over them. I had to leave because as person with diabetes this an extreme red flag. Any cut especially with a dirty implement can cost me a finger. read more

Came here with a big group for a coworker's bridal shower. Modern decor with multiple private rooms to accommodate our group. Each room had a cute theme, with 3 chairs facing each other, which made it was easy to talk to everyone. Disappointed that they did not offer OPI or Gelish. They had some random brand that I've never heard of. Also, I didn't like how my nails were all filed very unevenly. 1 week later and almost everyone's nails have started peeling. Sadly, the quality is not there. Don't think I'll be coming back, especially for the price. You're paying more for the vibes, but that's about it. read more

I've been coming here for 7 yrs. I bring my friends here I bring my roommates here I bring my out-of-town guests here yeah they don't even know my name. I'm pretty disappointed at my most recent experience. I did a walk in for a pedicure which was nice but there was no massage no lotion on the legs and I felt like they overcharged me but I didn't know that til after I asked to do do a gel color change reshape on my gel acrylic set on my hands. The lady over filed my nails down so bad she told me it was gonna have to be a fill. From a $10 or $12 service to a $50 service. I ended up paying $97 for a gel pedicure with no extra and a gel fill on my hand. That was not what I asked for nor what I budgeted for when planning the nails portion of my self-care day. My experience was not good. First off, they overcharged me. I have money to pay but don't like when people take advantage of me. She quoted me $32 for a pedicure and $42 for a gel manicure. When I went to the register to pay, the man said $89. I tried to ask him to explain it but he pretended like he didn't understand me. So, I paid. I am a big believer in tips so I gave a tip as well. The other problem is the lady lied to me about the availability of colors. I watched them pass around a myriad of color packs and when I asked her about it, she said that what I had in my possession was it. No big deal right? Wrong, my pedicure was messed up, the polish had a nick on the big toes (yes both) and the polish was on my skin. I was fed up and left. I wanted to point this out (write about my experience) to you all because you should know what you are getting in to. read more

I'm very picky about my nails. I don't like giving money away. Before the pandemic my go to nail tech was Ivy, she's no longer there since things reopened. She would be the only one I allowed to do my nails. Fast forward I found another amazing nail tech her name is Kayla. Kayla gets your nails right. No one should spend money and receive a bad service. I would highly recommend Kayla. One day I scheduled for Kayla got there she wasn't there that day. The receptionist (male guy ) should have told me when I scheduled but he didn't, I didn't know until I arrived (no one ever said she wasn't there ) they made it seem like she was. I would have canceled but I came so far.Had another nail tech to perform the service it's was just ok. For that I give 4 stars but for Kayla I give her 10 stars. read more

This place looked good initially... but no! Run! I paid for a soak off, new set and pedicure. I had two different people on my nails. One lady started taking off my nails using a tip and then decided to soak them. The second lady used the drill to eat away what the acetone ate off. Unfortunately there was still acrylic on my nails and they needed to be soaked more. I told her this and she didn't like it. She was trying to put a new tip and new acrylic over the old acrylic still on my nail. I was not about to let her do that. With attitude she took a clipper to my nails and cut the hell out of the skin under my pinky nail. I was bleeding. She ran to get like a wax and tissue to stop the bleeding. She apologized.The nails were poorly shaped and excess gel was was filed off after the color gel was applied and my cuticles were cut up bad. It still looked no better. My pedicure was amazing and I tipped the older lady 10$. She was awesome. I'm never going here again. read more

I came here because my original nail salon had no appointments available. The store front looks very fancy but its all just a facade. They have no real tubs for your pedicure, it's just a bucket with warm water that they pulled out of the kitchen. Also, they have no free parking and the nail-supplies along with the place doesn't look very sanitary. A woman came to help, and she highly encouraged me to do the gel powder this time, which I knew nothing about. I said I only had 40 minutes or so, and she said she could get me out in time. I decided to try it. Well, she did finish in time, without the hand and arm massage with lotion, and with it costing me way more. The manicure has lasted me less than a week. It's important to be transparent about the services you are offering. I asked her if this lasts longer, but she didn't answer. Make sure you keep your customers happy. It should not be about the sale in the moment. If you recognize consistent customers, make sure you are being honest. I came in here because I wasn't going to make it in time to another nail appointment in Alameda. From the reviews and some mani pedis over the years, I knew the work was not as great as it once was but I needed a fill before I left for a work event this weekend. It's really disappointing to see the quality of this place dwindle to what it is now. The technician didn't match up the length of my nails. My ring fingernail is longer than my index. Several are actually. All of the nails are lumpy...thinned out in random spots and thick in others. She nipped my cuticle on several occasions which I understand happens but didn't even apologize. She was apathetic to the whole experience. I used to love this nail salon. The ambiance is there and in the past I wouldn't mind the mediocre work because of the calming environment and cleanliness but after last night I won't be coming back. read more

I've been coming to Cabana Nails for a little more than a year now and I never had a bad experience. I love how they use copper bowls with lemon and rose petals to soak your feet. They have a wide range of colors to choose from. I get gel nails here too and the gel never peeled or chipped. They always take great care of your nails and pay attention to detail. The furniture is worn pretty badly, they had to ass acetone to the nail polish because it was old and even though we had an appointment, it still took 20 minutes to get into a chair and about 15 more before a technician came to start the pedicure. The only thing that can use some improvement depending the vibe and mood you're going for is the background can be more quiet. The next day, I notice ( I went to the shop late in the evening 6ish and went straight home, didn't do anything that would have affected my gel polish)... I woke up the following morning and two of my nails so Powerade to be chipped. So I went back that later I in thE day and they fixed it. First time here, I made reservations for 4 of us at 11am. Didn't realize how expansive this salon was. The girls got seated first then we got seated but it took almost 15 Minutes before we got our tubs of water to soak our feet in. Once we got started there was a minimum of 2 person working on you, be it manicures or pedicures. It was fast and quick similar to a factory assembly line. Most of the techs did not carry a conversation, although some did. I had Alice, she was ok but with cleaning the nails, there was some pain associated with it. Thank goodness, I did not bleed! I felt like the kids got a better techs than the adults! I opted for gel nails for the manicure, I can't complain about it. It was efficient and fast. The techs that worked with the girls seems to be genuine attention to the girls. Thank you for that! It was my niece first mani and pedi, it was a great experience for her! My sis in law mani and pedi is already messed up, her nails were uneven and her toes already chipped. Pricing wise, a tad on the pricey side and the thing I do not appreciate is how aggressive they are in getting tips. They congregate near you and make sure you know who worked on you so that you can dole out the tips. For the 4 of us, tips of $40, due to the amount of techs working on you. May or may not be back, the place looks clean but it definitely nice in there. They don't have the massage chairs I like. I just don't like the upselling they have. read more

My wife went here to get their nails done and not only was the service questionable, but the final product was not of a good quality. When they were already being worked on by one nail tech, another customer came in and requested that they be treated by the same technician that was already working on my wife.
