I was not a customer. Close to being one however didn't go through. I've probably called approximately 34 times, (in a couple weeks) and they only picked up once. They called me back, and emailed me, but the phone isn't the strong suit, by far. Hours are weird. Bonnie was pleasant and helpful. But overall I would not do business here. I liked the cabinets btw. They were nice! My hopes is that someone buys this place and gets all new people and starts to properly manage it. I was disappointed in this company, and my wife was right.. Again lol. Not very promising! I contact Cabinets Beyond based on a referral that I received. I left a message with their receptionist asking to have a sales person contact me. I never got a call back. So I called again and this time spoke with Dale who said that he would be the best person to come and look at my project. Dale showed up on time, but that is all that he accomplished. He was very unprofessional, had very crude language, especially for a sales person and worst of all, he never followed up. He promised to deliver via email a CAD design within two days. He never emailed. I called and he never returned my call. I was ready to place the order. But now I will find a legitimate company to deal with. DO NOT use this COMPANY! This is my first time ever giving a review on a supplier/contractor, but I think it is important to let other people know to BEWARE. Dale is a Great Over-Sales person and potentially a good person, but DOES NOT DELIVER what is promised! He never learned what it means to "Do what you say what you will do... sometimes more... just never less". We have been dealing with him on one residential project for 9 months from deposit. NEVER did they show up when they say they will or had all the materials or tools needed to complete the install. I will admit that I messed up by paying deposits and checks on Material Delivery prior to install. Once my checks were deposited it took weeks and several email/phone calls to get a response and no one was installing. Once installed, several cabinets where incorrect, lots of hardware and trim was missing. This is when the cycle of un-answered emails and phone calls started again. I ended up having to buy the parts myself and bring in a new installer to finish the job. Do yourself a favor and find a different Cabinet company. There are many other option in the valley! read more

All of the cabinets had a lot of damage to them. Owners son came back and promised to repair torn cabinets backs (skins). Never happened. Kitchen cabinets had several blemishes in them that were never repaired and they used left over doors from other jobs to put into my house! They failed to show up on time and also never showed up on days they were scheduled to so so. The bathroom cabinets in TWO bathrooms were painted with chips and scratches in them. The laundry room cabinets have cracks in them. The job was well over $30000. This is the worst cabinetry I have ever seen . They don't stand behind their products and have NO work ethic. They should be out of business. read more

We called and made an appointment to meet with Skyler based on our contractors recommendation to use Cabinets Beyond. We showed up 15 minutes early, and Skyler was kind enough to open the showroom early to accommodate us. We spent about 1.5 hours with him - asking questions, going cover the make/design, current trends etc, and he was very patient, knowledgable and accommodating. He created diagrams while we were there and gave us 4 estimates based on the 4 cabinets we liked (and couldn't make a decision). I am a sales manager at a 5-diamond luxury resort here in Scottsdale, so I know a few things about quality customer service and I have zero compalints from our experience... It was great. We have used this company several times throughout the last 4 years for our own personal homes and for fix and flip homes. Great quality! And by far better pricing than anyone else we could find! Skyler and Dale are busy so it's sometimes hard to get ahold of them but they are wonder people and so nice! Very helpful and friendly! They have never let us down! read more

Do not used Dale at Cabinets Beyond, after we chose our cabinet style for a bathroom remodel, we waited and waited, phone messages were not returned, finally they arrived, and they were the wrong ones. The counter top was ready to be installed so Dale said he would replace the drawer and door fronts with the correct style. When they arrived they were a different shade of stain, but close enough so his installer did the installation, when we had the horizontal handles on the drawers installed, it was apparent the drawers were not level, What a disappointment and lack of competence. BUYER BEWARE!!!! if you manage to go in & get Skyler to help you order cabinets- I guarantee you will not hear from him again. he doe NOT return calls, texts or emails. our cabinets came in, but this has been over 90 days since they were given a huge deposit & they sent us the wrong color cabinet doors for our bathrooms, no glass for the doors in the kitchen, they sent the wrong drawer for the powder room cabinet, the wrong paint color to do the matching trim pieces, and the wrong size crown molding. my home could have been finished and ready to move into, but we're still waiting for the correct order. No one answers calls or returns calls or emails. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY BUSINESS- THEY NEED TO GET OUT OF THE BUSINESS!!!!! if I could give zero stars I would. Cabinets beyond has installed a number of cabinets in our home and it's obvious that they take their cabinets very seriously. These people are an utter disaster. I sent in a list of cabinets I needed, got a quote of $3900. They suggested I have their owner measure to be sure. He came and measured while we weren't home. He took it upon himself to alter my measurements without any discussion. We started installing the cabinets not knowing he altered the measurements, got 2/3s of the way done and discovered that because he altered the measurements, the granite doesn't fit. Anyway that was only one of many disasters with these people. They ended up charging 8600 for the cabinets with no breakdown of cost per cabinet. Buyer beware with these folks. An expensive lesson for me. Buy the same cabinets at desert liquidators for way less. read more

If anyone had a good experience with this company it had to be a fluke. We dealt with Dale Schwartz when we were remodeling our kitchen. We got a good price and cabinets were installed. Then the troubles started with the finish. Cloudy streaks, "oily" spots and then crackly streaks appeared. Well it's been OVER 2 YEARS and still waiting for the promised replacements. He did send over a cabinet refinisher to look at them. The refinisher told us there many customers with the same problem. Last I heard from Dale was a pitiful me excuse that he had to pay for the replacement doors out of his own pocket. Duh isn't making things right YOUR responsibility. Tried to make me feel guilty for expecting him to make things right. I have not given up. 1. Never buy black cabinets from him. Caught him spray painting unfinished cabinets outside with spray paint 2. DO NOT BELIEVE the BBB rating. Do more research. 3. I have also experienced unanswered phone calls and not showing up for scheduled install apps. read more

I ordered a bathroom cabinet on 4/30 & paid the 70% down payment. After numerous emails & phone calls, I finally got ahold of Skyler Schwartz whom we placed the order with. He assured me I would get delivery 6/25, he explained the order had been shipped to Ca in error. Well, it is now 6/30, & no delivery. So I'm back to calling the Receptionist (answering service), they tell me they will forward my message as urgent so I get a call back. I'm beginning to get a terrible sinking feeling in my stomach. The father and son who run this establishment seem genuinely kind, but like everyone else who has written a review, my experience so far has been that they are not very good at setting realistic expectations. My cabinets were supposed to be installed last week, but when delays arose, it took me calling to get an answer of when I could expect the delivery. At this point, our entire kitchen has been demolished and we don't even have a running sink in there anymore. I was assured that they were trying to get it all squared away for the start of this week, it's 5pm on a Tuesday night, and I haven't gotten a call back from them yet, which means it is not likely that they will in fact be here tomorrow to install the cabinets. I consider myself a very down to earth person who can handle unexpected delays, but if they were realistic up front my expectations would be different than they are now and I would not be so very frustrated. At this point, I wonder if we are better off cancelling the payment to them and starting over. I honestly am not sure what to do. I will update this review if things turn around and all turns out great, but for now I'm seriously feeling concerned about how much this project has cost so far, and how little we have to show for it. read more

Went in on 9/1 and worked with Dale, the owner. He was vey helpful, spent time with me and gave me a quote to walk out with. I called 9/4 SEVERAL times wanting to place an order and had absolutely no response. They were closed for the 3 day holiday. On 9/8 there was still no return phone call so I had to drive back to the location to place my order in person. When I walked in, there was no acknowledgement that I was there (the only non-employee in the place) and Dale left me standing there in the showroom - waiting - while he finished what he was doing. Finally, he took my order (He did work with me a small bit on price) He said my order was only for 4 cabinets and would be in on 9/17. On that day 9/17 I called them to see when I could pick them up. It took over 2 hrs to get a call back to say they hadn't left CA yet and will now be in 9/22. They said, "The warehouse in CA was moving and they never told us." (I highly doubt that!) I told Bonnie that the warehouse move shouldn't affect your customers! Do you realize the contractors/schedules and costs that this delay makes? "Yep, it's just part of the industry" There was no apology. Cabinets arrived to AZ 9/22 but then they needed another day to put them together. What??! Bonnie said, "can we deliver them for you tomorrow?" I thought this was a nice gesture to make up for them being 6 days delayed - until she said it would be $50 - "That's our standard fee" Never mind! We picked them up 9/23 and they do look good, but it was not worth the hassles. I will gladly pay more for better service somewhere else next time... read more

Based on my experience with them so far, they do not engender ANY confidence. I sent them an e-mail about 10 days ago, as their website says in their "CONTACT US" space with my measurements and what I was looking for. I got no response. I then called and left a message with a human being a couple of days later. I got no response. I then called again and was told "oh, that was probably the answering service and we've yet to get to those calls". I told the guy I talked to then about my e-mail and that I would like to talk to someone about my project. He said someone would call. NO CALL. I called again and spoke to another guy who said he would look at the e-mail I sent with measurements and get me an estimate... NO CALL. Finally, the straw that broke the camel's back and prompted this review--I drove ALL THE WAY from Gilbert to their store to be there at 10am when they opened to check them out. Why? Because according to their website it looks like they have what I need. I finally left at 10:15am when the store was still closed! What kind of racket are they running? I should have read the reviews prior to purchase and delivery of my cabinets. I originally went in and spoke with Dale, he was great, we made an appointment with my husband to come in on Saturday, Dale was 'sick' and Skyler was filling in, none of my drawings were available to him as Dale had not left them for him. Skyler told me he would have new drawings completed with the cabinets we had chosen in a few days, this took over a week to have completed. I finally got the drawings and asked to purchase the cabinets by phone, I never heard back. Finally I decided to just drop in, I purchased the cabinets and paid in full expecting delivery in 1 week as they promised. I did not receive my cabinets for almost 2 weeks because the delivery truck they use was broken, their driver was sick, etc. The cabinets have since been delivered, my husband and I installed them on our own, easy installation, however we then discovered that some of the cabinets are completely missing hardware, some have nails that are sticking out of the front and the sides of the cabinets and to top it off I ordered 2 special cabinet slide outs for the trash cans and spice rack and both came with a normal hinged cabinet door not a slide out door; some of the shelves are completely bowed out and unable to be used; Some of the cabinets still have glue in them, already have cracks in them, etc. I guess it is my bad for not checking every single cabinet prior to them leaving my house the day of delivery...but who does that with almost 25 cabinets?? I have since called multiple times and left messages and only spoken to Bonnie who will get the message to Skyler, who has yet to call me back. Today I called again and got the response that someone in the family has passed away and they are out of town since last week when I spoke to Bonnie previously (no mention of this then...). Last week Bonnie informed me that Skyler would call me back by the end of the day, no call. To say the least I am not pleased with the customer service that I have received and I still have not gotten resolution to my problems with the poor craftsmanship of the cabinets. I also ordered the "middle" priced cabinets, you would think you'd be getting better quality. I hope this helps anyone who is contemplating ordering from them, you will eventually get your order after much trouble and who knows what the cabinets will look like. read more

I have to say that I would not at all recommend this company, unless you love to be ignored. I came to this store because I found them online. I made an appointment on a Saturday afternoon and the appointment went well. I found cabinets that I liked and Skylar was very nice and knowledgeable. I thought that everything went smooth. He did a computerized drawing of our kitchen and we picked out all of the cabinet sizes. He said I would have a quote within 1-2 days. Well, it is 24 days later and still have not heard from anyone. I have left numerous messages, talked directly to Bonnie, the receptionist, to leave a message, and I have emailed Dale and I still have not heard anything. I have signed a contract with another cabinet company that has taken the time to make this process seem a lot less scary. I will always tell people to walk away and do not waste your time with Cabinets Beyond. They are useless and have very poor customer service. If this is how they treat you before you buy, imagine after if you have a problem. I would give them zero stars if that was an option. read more

Skyler at Cabinets Beyond made the whole process incredibly easy! I went into the store to try to get a basic ballpark figure to see if redoing our kitchen was even feasible. I showed Sklyer the pictures of the current kitchen and he gave me an accurate price range by just looking at the pictures (even though we are redoing the foot print of the existing kitchen)! We decided to follow through with our kitchen remodel and I called and set up an appointment to have our kitchen measured. Skyler came out and measured our kitchen and then emailed me the detailed drawings the next day because I told him I needed the cabinets in a week. I cannot say enough about the incredible customer service I received! Skyler even emailed me on a Sunday evening to answer questions I had about the cabinets! Taking care of your customers when your shop is closed is going above and beyond in my book! We received our cabinets today and they are beautiful and well built!
