I I had an appointment to meet with a,designer and bring measurements and where I would receive a 3d rendering and a,quote. Instead I was received with an angry one person in a show room that from the get go told me about two lines one that is stock and the other is designer And right away she said that designer line is only available in their Tennessee headquarters. And need to choose and purchase a door with the the color and style. Beside the nasty attitude the lady had in the store why would a company be so dishonest to drag me to their showroom waisting my time if they don't offer design services and someone to attend to your needs. We received an estimate and paid $99 for measurement by a contractor used by CTG. The contractor, Harby of Y&H General Contractor, initially refused to provide his MHIC license number. Any legitimate contractor knows to provide this information and should do so without being asked. We had to call CTG as we did not want an unlicensed contractor performing any type of work in our home for which we could potentially incur liability. After measuring, the contractor gave us a proposal for over 70% of the cabinet costs. In addition, he was charging for items listed on CTG's estimate. The salesperson waited to 1/2 hour for the sake to end to respond to our concerns with a simple, just buy the cabinets and then find someone else. Apparently, CTG prefers this type of behavior by their contractors over satisfied customers. When we asked for the measurements that cost $99, we were given a photo of a hand drawn piece of paper similar to what a first grader would draw with some random numbers. At the very least, CTG could have reimbursed us for the less than customary standard for even rendering measurements which could not be in compliance with ISO or even an apprentice level of standard of accuracy for measuring. We effectively missed out on the sale for lack of quality control and oversight of an agent of their company. Not to mention $99 for childlike measurement services, which we cannot use. read more

They lie, they lead you on (Christy) they don't do what they say they will. The follow through is non-existent & they won't honor their warranty. I know price sells and when one wants new kitchen cabinets, one tends not to think about the future & that one day you will need customer service. However, I advise any and all to consider the customer service of the company you buy from. I am more than disappointed with Thomas at Cabinets To Go in Beltsville, MD I was ready to have my cabinets delivered and he decides to tell me, HE forgot to charge me for demo of my existing cabinets. When the contractor came out he told me to have all cabinets cleared out and all countertops decluttered. My contract says "take away and not demo". It is my first time doing a kitchen project so I was baffled at how one could take away cabinets still on the wall without demo. Needless to say he had me refer to the terms and conditions and HE is adding the cost of demo to my signed bottom line. I declined to move forward with the project and I am now being charged with the restocking fee of the cabinets. My take away is make sure when dealing with Cabinets To Go/Thomas, your demo is added before you sign the contract. I am very unhappy and will NOT recommend them to anyone. vicky m . back in july we had our first visit with cabinets to go. we were recommended to use cabinets to go even though my husband works for home depot and we started to get them from home depot. we bought cabinets, flooring, counter tops the whole works.after that the nightmare started. . we were told our flooring would be coming on a certain date and someone needed to be home. i stayed home all day waiting for my call i had to cancel a drs. apt. finally i called the salesman no answer, so i called again the next day he apologized and said that they were sent to the store instead of my home. why he didnot call me i have no idea. so he brought them in a couple of days we had to put the contractor on hold. the last box of tiles were damaged. it took forever to get a new box and we had to drive40 miles to beltsville to pick it up ourselves. then after 6 weeks whenthey deliveredthe cabinets they scratched my new floor. then i noticed they had forgot 2 cabinets. this was september we still had not received the 2 missing cabinets untill, last week. this is the kicker they delivered 3 cabinets and only 1 was mine. now we are waiting again for the last cabinet. customer service keeps apologizing but that's not helping me at all. all this time the contractor is on hold he has other jobs, my husband kept taking time off from work. i'm using my living room as my kitchen, no running water of course. we are fast fooding everyday. i'm so frustrated i could scream. i keep asking for a corporate number but they keep giving me the run around. this is the worst experience i have ever had when doing a renovation. this was supposed to be a 47th anniversary present for my husband and i. thanks for listening read more

Bait and switch I saw their ad and submitted the requirements to receive a quote. Then someone called and i asked if they were competitive compared to quotes i received from home depot and another cabinet make in Maryland. He quickly said i should buy from someone else. He didnt ever offer to match the price as shown on the website. Also, he said their cabinets were NOT preassembled. Not a big deal to me but they sure didnt put that in the ad. I felt their marketing was misleading and would not want to do business with someone who misleads to get people to come. read more

This review is quite over due, as we remodeled several years ago. The cabinets are good quality, but you do have to assemble them, as they are not preassembled; however, they are very easy to assemble. I put them together myself. I love the soft close feature of the doors and drawers. We worked with Thomas, and he was great! He answered all our questions, and worked with us to ensure we had everything we needed. He asked questions about or kitchen mannerisms. This helped us choose the best cabinet and drawer options for our smaller space, so we could make best use of what we got. We are now moving to another home, but have already discussed redoing the kitchen as there have been no upgrades to this house. Cabinets to go is a no brainer. We will be going back there once we are ready to remodel the kitchen. read more

When I finally did get the correct parts and finished the installation, 2 of the cabinet doors were made too small. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE HERE! THOMAS IS A LIFE-SAVER! I don't normally leave reviews on here but felt compelled to do one for my experience. My wife and i are fixing up our home as we get ready to sell it. The most crucial part that needs to be done is the kitchen. I had $4K worth of cabinets on order from another store for the past month and a half but when delivery day came... nothing. When we contacted Ikea only to find out that our order had been delayed for another month with ZERO communication to us! If we hadn't called, we would've been waiting for a delivery that wasn't coming anytime soon. We ended up cancelling the order entirely but were left with very little time to finish our project. Thankfully, Cabinets-to-go, specifically Thomas, pulled through for us! My wife reached out and got a hold of Thomas. He thoroughly assisted my wife with the process and gave her all the options available to us, more importantly, how quickly he can get it to us. All he needed was for one of us to come to the store and assist in finalizing our order and ensure that everything fits our space. When i got there, he completely rebuilt our kitchen and maximized our space usage while keeping our appliances in mind. He was very patient with us because this is our first home, first renovation, and first time ordering cabinets. Not only that, he even ensured a week turnaround time for delivery! Sure enough, the items arrived in exactly the time frame he gave us and these cabinets are fantastic! Way sturdier and feel more stable than what we would've received from the other store. Plusses: Excellent solid wood (cherry, in my case). Extremely easy to assemble (ok, except for the corner cabinet). Quick availability and delivery. Reasonable selection of finishes. Very competitive pricing (I paid 60% that a kitchen design shop quoted me). Negatives: Assembling the corner cabinet took me an entire day (ok, the second corner only took 2 hours; all other cabinets took 30 minutes or less to assemble, sometimes much less). Assembly instructions are essentially worthless (more so considering, you are paying $1000s for a complete kitchen). Support of sales staff could be much better. Finally, the road traffic at this location is just short of gridlock, at 11 on a weekday morning, yet. Keep in mind that, you are buying cabinets that come in a limited range of sizes; these are 'not' custom cut to your kitchen's dimensions. It is absolutely essential that you carefully (c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y) check the salesman's schematic against your own measurements (my rep's schematic was incorrect and required considerable on-the-fly modification). Also, the rep could have been much more forthcoming about modifications to your kitchen (to fit C2G's cabinets). Names of installers are provided, however, I (a reasonably handy guy) did it myself, and was delighted with the results. I am retired, however, I suspect the average (employed) Joe will not have the time required (considering your kitchen is in a state of total uproar during the process). The satisfaction of 'doing it yourself' is quite high here. Finally, you have to source your counter tops yourself. read more

I needed two matching bathroom vanities of different sizes for a home renovation. I found a style that I liked right away. W. Russell Hawkins was very slow to follow up with the initial estimate, and never did - even after several attempts on my part - follow up on some requested upgrades. I was ready to buy but the guy totally never responded back. I have mixed experience with CTG neither terribly disappointed nor greatly satisfied and here are my reviews for each categories: Design: We knew what we wanted so we really did not care about the 3D design. Do not expect to receive quality 3D design from CTG. Order process: This was the smoothest process. Local CTG representative, Thomas Juma at Beltsville, MD provided good support and order arrived on time. Only complaint I have regarding the order process, the local representatives are not prompt on calling back once the order is placed. Material: Its been @4 months and the cabinets get dents easily. The cabinet material quality is not good. The cabinets do require considerable tuning from the installer to align them properly. Look: Very satisfied with the look of our kitchen. Customer support: Very dissatisfied. We received couple faulty cabinets and reported as soon as we received our order back in April 2019. They said our replacement cabinet doors are backlogged. Its been 4 months and we have not received the replacement cabinet doors yet. The best advise I could offer if you want to go for the look and price of CTG cabinets - Do not start your project until you have your entire order in your hand without any defects. Wouldn't send anyone there: too many surprises. Didn't tell us we had to remove old countertops, OK. But didn't tell us to remount the dishwasher on the sides to the cabinets BEFORE they brought the countertop, so now it's basically impossible. And never mentioned the quartz countertop would come in TWO pieces, so now there's a big crack down the middle. read more

Wolf in sheep's clothing... Initially, the process seemed like it was awesome from the 3D model on screen to the talking through of placement in the kitchen for each cabinet and functionality with Sara. Part of the order came early and was shipped however, a piece was forgotten at the store thus not delivered. As for the delivery, the tram that delivered the items were extremely professional however, I was told by Sara that the delivery would be in the morning and then it was pushed back from 2p-3p and finally the items minus one were delivered at 845p. I called Sara to ask her what was going on with the delivery and she advised me that she would call back in 15-30 minutes to let me know the status. Two days, three emails, 3 phone calls later; I finally speak with Sara on the issue with delivery. Sure, it was good to finally hear something except for the fact that I had to call the location and not one email was replied or phone call returned. Not at all what the customer should be going through... I finally speak with her and she apologizes for the delays and checks and confirms that a backing was left at the store which is why it was not delivered. I then asked for an update on the rest of the special order items and she said they should be in this week. I again had to reach out and spoke with her on 7/11 and she advised me that the cabinets had arrived and she would be scheduling them for delivery. Yet again why am I having to keep tabs instead of her reaching out to the customer to advise me of what I paid for arriving at the location??more than 4 hours later I'm still waiting on a call back once again for an update on the delivery of the cabinets. Piss poor service after they received payment and no sense of urgency at all to keel me in the loop. After the initial meeting i received a follow up email and several days later on if I was still purchasing the cabinets. Clearly once they have the payment they don't give a damn about delivering customer service which actually starts after the sale until the end of the process. Cabinets are good quality and everything is exactly what I wanted however, with piss poor follow up and first point issue resolution, I wouldn't return to spend any money. Very disappointed as what started off as a beautiful relationship has gone sour. Lastly, today I was once again told that I would receive a call back to let me know about delivery and once again no call, email or nothing... I must say I was very pleased with the service I received at this location. Alicia was amazing and so kind and patient. I came in quite a few times and out of all the stores that I shopped for quotes she was courteous and didn't ignore me just because I wasn't buying that day. The location is clean and organized. Let me just say we love our new cabinets!!! BUT if it weren't for Derron and Israel I would ever have ordered with Cabinets to go and here is why: We were in the process of buying a new home and decided that since CTG was having such a great deal(complete 10x10 kitchen for $1000 choice of two colors size 36 in only) we would go ahead and remodel the kitchen in our new home. I ordered the cabinets in the beginning of April of this year because I was told that the cabinets would sell really fast! I ordered 36 in cabinets against my better judgement. So we closed on the house in the middle of May. Our contractor told us that there would be no way 36in cabinets would fit in our kitchen and he didn't know why with our measurements t CTG would say that this size would fit. No problem. We could just switch them out right? Well Isriel and Derron said that they would try there best to get me the size that we needed. So they spoke to their boss and he okayed it BUT THE COMPANY DID NOT LET ME KNOW THEY OVERSOLD MY CABINETS!! WHAT??! How o you do that when I ordered my cabinets the first day of the sale? I was upset but quickly calmed down by Isriel and Derron. My options were what an additional 5 mo for the cabinets I ordered or I could get any cabinets in the store for the same price!! Awesome!! I loved the white cabinets but couldn't afford them at the time. Derron and Isriel told me my cabinets would be in stock ready for pick up in two weeks! Awesome! WRONG! It took 6 weeks for me to get our cabinets. Well the majority of them. I was told all of our cabinets were in except one! A very important one. A corner wall cabinet that would take an additional 2 weeks!!!! Well our sons first birthday was 6 days away and it would not work so Derron and Isriel found a solution and I had my cabinets installed 1 day before my sons birthday and Derron helped put one together in the store. So this rating is for Derron and Isriel and not the Cabinets to Go company. My husband and I put most of the cabinets together pretty easily so grab a friend and a good power drill and save yourself hundreds in labor. Also don't worry if you need extra parts just go to the store and pick some up!! read more

When we called the Beltsville office we were told it wasn't there problem. Delivery was not made when promised. When they finally showed up, two cabinets arrived damaged. First I was told I'd be charged another delivery fee for sending non-damaged ones. Once I pushed back, the fee was waived. After being told the replacement cabinets would arrive Tuesday, Tuesday night at 9pm I receive a voice mail message from the driver (he didn't even have the courtesy to call) saying they would be delivered Wednesday. I called the driver immediately to inform him no one would be there and was sent directly to voicemail. The salesman's response was "I only sell them; I don't have anything to do with delivery." Still have not been contacted to make arrangements for delivery when someone will be there. EXTREMELY poor customer service from both the salesman and the delivery person. The instructions are worthless and the salesmen are no help. If you're handy you can figure most of it out but good luck. DO NOT BUY A WALL OVEN UNIT. I had to call twice to have the assembly instructions faxed to me. It was a one-page hand-made drawing that is supposed to tell you how to modify the cabinet to house a wall oven. I called the sales rep to explain it and he couldn't. The quality of the cabinets was not what was on display. They are very underwhelming. You would be better off buying cabinets from Lowes or Home Depot. read more

There's an old saying, 'We can do it quick, we can do it right, or we can do it cheap, - which do you want?' If you're willing to do a little work yourself, (measure etc) and you can manage a project, CTG is a good way to save LOTS of money for a quality cabinet. The down side is, if you need it done quick, and haven't got a clue about kitchen design, this may not be your best option. We dealt with Tony and got great design service and advice. We had previously gone to Home Depot for a quote, but after two sessions, we still didn't have any prices on cabinets. CTG has prices right on their web page, and if you take in a preliminary design, they can help you finish the design. Having accurate measurements, and understanding how cabinets could be moved, helped with the design process. There are limited options however, the pantry cabinet only comes in 18" width for example, so if you can work with some limited options, these cabinets are a great deal. My contractor just installed the first set of cabinets, he said he just finished a job where the cabinets were twice as expensive as ours, but no where near the quality we got. The downside side is, we're still 2 wall cabinets short. So, the countertop has been installed and we can't wait for the remaining wall cabinets to come in and finish the job. I'm very happy with the quality of the cabinets for the price we paid. Real wood, not particle board. But keeping costs down means not having much inventory for a company. A friend of ours got all their cabinets on the first order, that has not been the case for me, but still, for the quality we got for the price we paid, I'm willing to wait a few more weeks to see the project completed. read more
