I recently just purchased cabinets and birch counter tops from Cabinets To Go. I had one wall in the kitchen that was bare. The issue i had was a sliding door that only allowed for 18" deep cabinets. I had two previous quotes from Menards and Wayfair. They both wanted to sell me custom cabinets at a smaller size with special hardware. Would have been two to three thousand dollars more not even including the countertops. Gabrielle was the first one to actually provide me with a quote that did not require all custom sizing and looks great, is a better quality and has a better warranty The original garbage can cabinet that was ordered is extremely tiny, I would not recommend its more suitable for an office or bathroom. Due to that, I needed to replace with the double can. Much better size. Vicky was able to help me with this issue since Gabrielle was busy helping other customers. She was able to get the new cabinet ordered quickly and arrived ask planned. Thank YOU!!! Overall the cabinets were simple to assemble, FYI, I've never installed cabinets before. read more

We have not ordered our cabinets yet, but so far, the service was great, they took their time designing our kitchen with the measurements and plan we had. They didn't get 5 stars because we were there for at least 3 or 4 hours, they should have a coffee machine or at least offer customers a bottle of water. To start out with a positive, our kitchen looks beautiful! However, we have had major issues with Cabinets To Go that cost us over $1,000 more due to them not backing promises were we told. I don't think I have ever left a company negative feedback...but do want people aware so you aren't stuck in the situation we were. We had started working with Vicky as the manager. Long story short, we send our blueprints from our architect. We were in final steps of our cabinet layout when she messaged me that she went to a competitor and was trying to get me to go over there (as she had our designs). We hadn't been happy with the service she had provided so we decided to reach out to Cabinet To Go and see who the new manager was. Gabby was the new manager and was friendly and helpful. When she checked out file, there was nothing there. So, we had to start from scratch. I was able to send her pics from when Vicky was working on things...but then extended the design process weeks longer. Fast forward, we weren't ready for cabinets yet due to our drywall not being installed yet. Gabby reached out to tell us about a sale going on the cabinets we had selected. She said they need to ship though within a couple weeks to get the discount, due to them not wanting to store them at the warehouse. I said we could house them in our basement but we were NOT going to be installing for months so wouldn't be able to open them and check them out. We were made to believe any defects or damage from shipping would be taken care when we were installingdown the road . Gabby shortly after this went on maternity leave. After that things got really messy. It was so hard to get someone to get back to us when we started to experience issues. The delivery people showed up at the wrong location to deliver cabinets. Thankfully they were willing to go to the correct address. Once our installer (separate from Cabinets to Go) started install. He quickly noticed that they had not measured correctly...the sink wasn't center to the window. He looked at their design print and said he didn't know what measurements they were using but it was completely off. Their picture made it look like our plans but measurements for cabinets were incorrect. Due to the issue, we had to order 3 or 4 more cabinets to make the layout work correctly. They also didn't figure the correct total for some of the accessory's pieces and we had to order more of those as well. We were told we would get a discount on all the items due to their error. When we got the invoice, they did not honor what they said and we were charged full price for all the accessory pieces. They also didn't make it right that their measurements were way off. We also had a few damaged cabinets and they refused to make it right because it was over 60 days. When we told them originally we could house them but wouldn't be able to install for months and wanted to make sure we were still covered. I reached out to the main company customer service multiple times...had a couple very disrespectful representatives. Long story short, we had to pay for all the cabinets that broke during shipping too....and drive 2 hours one way (twice) to get the items. Now, a month after being in our home and using the cabinets, the glass upper cabinet doors are splitting...by the glass. It's an obvious defect. And at some point appears the glass will just fall out. It's cracking all 4 sides both inside and out. I contact the Merrillville office and they gave me the headquarters again...and as suspected they said it's over 60 days even if it's a defect. They offered for us to transfer to a representative to buy new doors. I said, "No, I'm not buying new doors. I want management email to give feedback on how dissatisfied we are with the cabinets and lack of backing your product" . They told me to use the contact on the website...the generic email. So, nothing being done about the defective glass cabinets either. As pretty as the cabinets are...we would never use them again. If a company won't back their product and is rude to the customer...it's not the right company for us or for us to recommend to others. So bummed because initially I thought we were going to love Cabinets To Go. Our installer (not from C2G) was able to repair some of the damage items and he did a beautiful job...but he shouldn't have had to fix something that should have been taken care of by Cabinets To Go) We purchased 2 full sets of kitchen cabinets, pantry cabinets and for our laundry room...so even with a large order...they didn't reimburse us a dime or cover any of the damages or their errors. read more

Placed an order for cabinets on 3/28/2023. I had my design done by Cabinets to Go and I had my measure done by Cabinets to go. I'm building a new construction home that caused delays by months. October 2023 comes and we are ready to put up the cabinets. The cabinets were ordered incorrectly. Manager Gabby did my design and order and Steve did my measure. There were two different designs, same design, different sized cabinets because they have different measurements. The 1st design were the cabinets needed but the 2nd design were the cabinets ordered. After explaining this Lori and the Cabinets to go in Merrillville, IN they refuse to fix my cabinets. I've been told because it's pass 60 days they won't take the cabinets back and fix the mistake they made, after Lori originally told me I had nothing to worry about and it would be corrected. Now, I have cabinets I can't use and I have to spend more money with them for the correct cabinets that should have been ordered in the 1st place. read more

So let me start by saying in the end, the product and service were a 5. However, we purchased our cabinets in Feb and did not receive it until May! To be fair, COVID hit mid-March but had the previous manager handled our order timely, it would have been delivered and installed before COVID. There were MANY issues and promises made that were not kept. I don't want to harbor on that because THAT manager was eventually fired ( well deserved). The NEW manager who took over, I believe in April, is awesome! He started off by apologizing for the delays. He listened and was pro-active. He kept us posted on the status of our order and he & another co-worker, personally delivered my beautiful cabinets. I ordered the Nantucket (almond color). We also used Cabinets-To-Go's installation company, they did an excellent job. read more

Very satisfied with this company, went to the building that's in Merrillville. Their cabinets are beautiful. Gabriela is amazing with customers, didn't know exactly how I wanted my cabinets set up , talked to her and had her design something for me. She brought a vision I never knew to life. I had alot of questions since I have no idea how this whole process would work (it's my first home remodel) & she was very thorough in explaining and breaking down any question i had. I'll start with, THIS ALL BEGAN BEFORE THE COVID-19 QUARANTINE. In the middle of February, my wife and I began shopping for cabinets and after experiencing sticker shock we went to Cabinets to Go Merrillville. When we arrived we were met by our salesperson, Tom. Tom was very friendly and spent about an hour or so designing our kitchen. When we got the price we were amazed at the difference. Tom locked our price in and we returned and ordered the cabinets and we were told they would be ready for pickup, the following Friday. I spoke with Tom Friday morning and he stated, " I will call you as soon as I get me eyes on your cabinets." A little while later I spoke with Tom and he said everything came in except a utensil organizer. I loaded up and drove 40 miles to the store. I got there and paid for our countertop and crown molding install and Tom loaded up the cabinets which were all wrapped in plastic on a skid. At that time Tom told us well.... your utensil organizer isn't here and our 5 roll-out trays were also not there. I drove the 40 miles back home and did an inventory as I unloaded. It turned out we were given the wrong sink base and we were missing 5 or 6 other cabinets. I called the store and expressed my displeasure and things just got worse from there. We were continually promised cabinets and they would not come in. We were promised a free utensil organizer for our trouble and that did not happen. I was told what seemed like one nontruthful statement after another. We called customer service at least 5 times and I spoke with Zach the regional manager twice. We ended up immediately canceling our crown molding install and it took Cabinets to Go well over a month to reverse the charge on our credit card. Actually, it wasn't until I spoke with the regional manager again that the charge was reversed. To add insult to injury the week that we were supposed to pick up our roll-out trays I called to check our account and spoke with the "new" manager at the local store and told him I wanted to make sure I was never charged for a utensil organizer, we never got one and we didn't want it. A couple of days later my wife called to check on the roll-out trays and the manager says that he spoke with me and I canceled the order, WHICH IS NOT TRUE!! The only way we were able to get our order filled.....since we had no kitchen because I started demolition once I was promised the cabinets... was to have our order filled with a mixture of new style and old style cabinets. So, we have some cabinets in our kitchen that are finished with clear polyurethane on the inside and e also have older model cabinets that are finished with a strange orangish-brown polyurethane on the inside. The newer cabinets are much nicer than the older model ones. The plywood used on the new ones is much better quality. The birch face frames and doors all seemed nice, the cabinets went together easy, but the service, the empty promises.... TOTAL NIGHTMARE. If I knew then what I know now I would have paid the extra money and purchased cabinets elsewhere. read more

Competitive pricing saved us tonsof money compared to menards. Talia sat down with us and showed us our kitchen on her computer program which helped my indecisive wife pick a color. Don't pass up taking a look since you will be missing out! My wife and are ready to build a substantial kitchen at a lake house in Michigan. We have shopped many local shops in S/W MI, Homedepot, Lowes, Menards and other big-name stores. Honesty we were leery about Cabinets to Go but liked the idea of all plywood construction, promise of a low price, and not particle board like IKEA. I am an engineer and have very high standards but we have a budget we need to stay within on a full house high end remodel. We ended up driving 2 hours to the Merrillville, IN location. We did have a couple of closer locations in Detroit area but with initial conversations, we like the manager Thalia who was very knowledgeable at the IN location. Thalia replied the same day and Sunday when they were closed with my initial email. I had sent our designs and room dimensions and by the next morning on Monday had the kitchen build in her computer and an initial quote. The price quoted seemed too good to be true since 1/2 the price of some of the lowest quotes we had on cabinets from many sources. When we arrived at the Merriville store, my wife and I reviewed every inch of the cabinets inside and out. We could not believe the quality which was equivalent to many of the high-end cabinets. Believe me, my wife and I know what we are looking for and are very finicky and thorough. The hinge hardware was identical to that we found in the other box store cabinets who probably source from the same companies (I had pictures to compare the mechanisms). The plywood was much better quality than the Lowes cabinets that we were ready to sign on this week but wanted to review CTG. The doors are solid wood and amazing look with the crown on the top and lower trim on bottom side of the upper cabinets. Thalia met us on Sunday when they were normally closed and spent 3 hours with us. She was very straightforward with answers and feedback on design changes. There was no attitude, pressure, and just to the point on every question we had which we had many. We ended up buying the cabinets since my wife and I were fully satisfied with the quality of the cabinets after a 3-month journey looking for cabinets. Thalia's clear reputability, product knowledge, and ability to get all our final changes in at the one visit was key to our decision. We seldom in 30 years of our marriage have bought anything on the spot unless we are certain! I feel bad since in S/W MI when developers, builders, and homeowners when the word start to spread with them about CTG. The local kitchen shops and box stores can't compete with the price for these cabinets that not only look very high end but the actual quality wood and components of high-end kitchens. This place has beautiful cabinets. The customer service if there is an issue, however, is terrible. We ordered cabinets from here and some were sent damaged. We made a claim to get them fixed and they took over a week to get back to us. Then they sent the wrong one. They also sent us incorrect cabinets that didn't fit our blueprint and wouldn't compensate us for them. Unless you literally want to rebuild the cabinets that they ordered incorrectly, I would never recommend this company! read more

This business needs to close it's doors. We went in and set up a measurement appointment with Dan, contractor came out to the house and measured all the while flirting with my wife, very unprofessional. Dan told us that he would contact us for the design meeting once he had my measurements. Never got a call so we went into the store ourselves. The woman who manages the store decided to air out her dirty laundry and share the fact that Dan had been fired from his job. Too much information for me, I just want my design blueprints done. I was then told that they could no locate the measurements?? Seems that when Dan left the company so too, did emails containing measurements??? Awful experience with this company and very "tacky" top to bottom. Stay away and use your money elsewhere with a credible reputation. Still waiting 8 weeks later for refund of my paid measurements...............Buyer Beware!! read more
