Cabinets came broken and they have Horrible Customer service. They will not give replace the broken cabinets.

I have Cabinet To Go cabinets installed in my previous house over ten years ago. The cabinets are so well built. I use the house as a rental and the cabinets still look and work great. When it was time to update our current house, I went right back. Their designer Susie was excellent and educated through the entire process. She was very patient while helping me find the cabinets I wanted. I chose the hickory cabinets and they are gorgeous! She helped me with the layout of the areas and now that the cabinets are installed I can say the layout works very well. Had to wait a bit because of the COVID timeline, but they are totally worth it. Susie remains completely involved while I take an exceedingly long time to pick out the countertops. She's the best. I definitely recommend going there and seeing Susie if you want to love your kitchen. read more

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! I purchased my cabinets December 2019 (pre COVID) and the end of January they finally called said the cabinets are in but the pull outs are not but will be in a couple weeks. I told them I will wait for the pull outs. In March I called and asked about the pull outs and was told they have a new manufacturer and the pull outs will be a little longer. So I opted to get the cabinets without the pull outs for now. Well in May I called again and was then told the new manufacturers design will not work with our cabinets, I would have to purchase to the new cabinets or the pull outs they now have will not pull out. Um What? The main thing I requested I was not going to get. Never would I have paid the money and not get what I was looking for. Ugh! In July, we decided to redesign the cabinets to try and accommodate for the lack of pullouts and ordered some additional pieces. We told Jenny the exact piece we needed and she ordered a different piece stating it will work just the same as the piece we needed. Well you guessed it the piece was not what we needed! So they ordered the piece we originally went in for and we are still waiting..... we are told the piece is at a warehouse and will be shipped soon. I guess my soon and their soon are VERY different. They got their payment before they would even place the order for the additional piece that is sitting in a warehouse. I completely do not trust them as I NEVER got the pull outs. THIS IS A WARNING: GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR RTA CABINETS! Your kitchen is the hub of your family's life, and that can not be understated. Do not trust Cabinets to Go to outfit your kitchen with quality cabinets. It is my opinion, and sadly, my experience that which the business model Cabinets to Go operates under, is not one that is built on long term relationships, but rather A. greed (they will take your money & in exchange provide you with subpar manufactured cabinets) & B. deceit (they will not honor the warranty that you've probably been initially impressed by). If you are still reading & require more detail, please, by all means, read the next phase of my saga with Cabinets to Go. Note elsewhere in this thread, I shared my initial experience with the failure of a cabinet unit. Cabinets to Go representative, Andrea, was quick to pounce & start her efforts at damage control. She invited me to reach her via email-to follow up. I did just that, to which NOTHING, NO RESPONSE. Her written words were a vapid, hollow attempt to fix an ugly situation. Not surprising after all, her glossy attempts to "fix it" in front of the kitchen remodeling Netizins of the interwebs is all for show- much like the veneer of the company's cabinet product that we've had the unfortunate experience with. We have provided additional information about the FAILURE of our cabinet unit, which literally broke apart on the wall, just after adding wine bottles to a wine rack. The result was not due to installation, but rather clearly, a defect in the products. The cabinet unit that was designed for us, by the really nice kitchen designer of Cabinets to Go, literally broke apart- SIDEWAYS- likely because it was not ever intended to actually STORE wine bottles! The cams broke on the two tall cabinets that were attached to the wine rack, (cams are pieces that hold the walls of the cabinets together), the metal braces pulled away from the plywood layers, the supplied wood screws pulled from studs, (which tells me these were not actually cabinet screws!). And this: layered splitting plywood on the wall cabinet unit sides, attached to the wine rack. Properly kilned wood should not pull apart like that. I've never seen anything like it. This is either a failure of manufacturing or the product as sold was never intended to withstand the use as designed: a wine rack with slots for 22 bottles, attached to 2 side cabinets & one upper cabinet, failing under the weight of 12 bottles of wine. They will not honor their warranty. Again, to remind any new Yelp reader looking for feedback on Cabinets to Go: Andrea told us "they (C2G) didn't install the cabinets and therefore will not honor the warranty....that we are welcome to re-purchase these cabinets". No where in our warranty is there a condition the warranty is void if anyone other than C2G doesn't install them! We attempted again, to get this rectified, by sending a certified letter addressed to their CEO, Jason Delves. Crickets. I have sent a follow-up email to Ms. Andrea, as you all can see in the above review, she INVITED me to write to her via email & reference the review. Crickets. To this day, my follow-up communications have gone unanswered. It is clear C2G doesn't stand behind their products. If they truly believed in their products, they would replace the defective product. Let's face it, defects CAN happen, but they should absolutely be the exception, not the norm. The fact they will not honor their warranty & replace this defective unit of cabinets, tells me they believe their products to have more defects in manufacturing than one can reasonably expect. And that they expect this cabinet unit might fail again if they replaced it. The right thing to do is A) replace the unit with an acknowledgement and apology, because they stand behind their product, B) Offer to replace that section with a set of cabinets that ARE intended to hold weight, or C) offer us a refund on that particular unit of 3 cabinets + wine rack. They chose the wrong route: telling the customer they are welcome to re-buy them and then ignoring all follow up attempts to communicate. The response from Andrea on behalf of Cabinets to Go, alone should be a stark warning to ANYONE considering doing business with Cabinets to Go. Take your business elsewhere. They do not stand behind their product. I spent over 13K for a set of cabinets & countertops, and one part of my kitchen has a gaping space, where this unit was intended to fill. The brand new Fantasy Brown counter below the space where this cabinet unit was once living, it is now damaged, my brand new porcelain tile floor has also been damaged, I've lost several bottles of wine and irreplaceable vintage stemware. Thank god no human or pet family was in harms' way when this unit split apart and crashed below. All I asked for is a replacement of this cabinet unit. The warranty language should just be changed to "Ha ha sucker, good luck!". read more

I'm so bummed :( I had heard so many great things about this place. My husband and I walked in and asked a worker sitting behind a desk if we they were open and taking clients without an appointment (since most places require one now since covid-19). He rudely said "Yes, were open that's why the door is open and no you don't need an appointment. We still walked in because we've been looking for cabinets for sometime now. Bought my kitchen and bathroom cabinets here and they are beautifu, well worth the money. However, the recommended contractor to install Robert Wooten /One stop Construction and Restoration in San Bernardino , has 11 violations on Contractors State Licensing Board. I did speak with Cabinets to Go sales rep and he assured me Mr Wooten and James would do a great job. I trusted this recommended contractor. This was my biggest mistake. I did my research but quite honestly trusted this contractor Robert Wooten and that he was recommended by Cabinets To Go. I will now file my own complaints with Contractors State Licensing Board. The prices of their cabinets are a lot less than your major chain stores. The quality is very good. The cabinets are all wood and solid. There's nothing cheap about the quality. Customer Service was excellent. Danny was very helpful and designed exactly what we wanted. Delivery took two weeks. A couple of downsides are...their stock in certain items is limited due to the stocking/delivery issues at their warehouse, because of Covid and the ports, etc. Another is they don't offer installation. We purchased our kitchen cabinets here and we are thrilled with them. Installation was complete in November, 2015. We hired a contractor to build & install them and he enjoyed working with this product. Tamarah and her staff are very kind. We ran into numerous hurdles throughout our purchase & install process (hence 4 stars instead of 5) and Tamarah always kept things moving in the right direction. Ordered wrong color (Mgr blamed me saying I changed my mind). Wrong I told them what color they ordered it. I signed order. I don't know names of the colors. Ok, honest mistake...maybe pending more info. They could solve this just by having customer sign a sample piece btw. My fiancé was with me when I pointed to the color I wanted so it was NOT my mistake. 2. On ordering correct color forgot to order six doors. That's right 6!!! 3. Forgot to give me the toe kick. 4. Mgr Told me she would deliver toe kick but failed to show. 5. After my installer put together what he could there were two damaged parts. When I try to get them from CS they can't even find them on my order! 6. They finally get the doors they forgot to ordered in the correct color in 2 above only to find they ordered the wrong size. 7. I call them and am told that "your contractor wouldn't let us in to measure the missing doors". I asked did you call me and tell me that. NO. ITS MY HOUSE. Why the $&@! Would ask my contractor if you can enter MY house. 8. I have NOT received ONE call from them trying to fix this MESS. They claim they have left me voice mails. I HAVE repeatedly told them (mgr) that their system is not calling me correctly. Yet they STILL try to use the "redial" system even though I have once again told her REPEATEDLY that it does NOT work (IF she is telling the truth about calling me). 7/13/2022 Review Update - I emailed Gloria at CTG per request and provided information requested. There was some initial back and forth with Gloria where I had to re-provide documentation, photo's, etc. for Gloria to research. Gloria did state that CTG does offer measurements for $99, my original designer never offered this service. 1 month later I had not heard back from Gloria on outcome so emailed her again. Gloria stated that CTG will not do anything to help since I did not purchase installation through their partner. CTG removes all accountability. Buyer's beware of this company and product! read more

We ordered kitchen cabinets from here on 12/28/18. We ended up getting all the cabinets expect for the 2 main base ones by 1/18/19. It is now almost a month later and we still have not received the rest of our cabinets. Of course no one knows when they will be here or where they are. We are now stuck living in our new house with no kitchen because we cannot get our counter tops done without the cabinets. I called the company about the missing hardware and after making me sign paperwork they sent me the wrong hardware. Three weeks ago I called the company to report they sent the wrong hardware; the company had me sign more paperwork and I'm still waiting for the correct hardware. Then the designer did not tell me that sink base cabinet wouldn't work at the end of the island because it needs a cabinet on the right and left side of it. How are they in business still? Recently we bought a house that has cabinets from here in the house. We contacted the seller and he told us the cabinets were from here and advised us to not go there, that they were a headache and he had a terrible time with them. Wish we would have listened. First time I went there, I was greeted by Jenny. I told her our scenario, and she knew who our seller was by name. She began bashing him saying how he was a terrible customer and made it hell for them. Now I can see why he did. She fuddled with the computer system and kept saying they had some new system that she didn't know how to navigate. It took forever to get a quote, and they already had the specs of the house from the previous seller. After a while She gave up using it and basically quoted me finally. The cabinets were discontinued so we got another color in the same style, approx 1700$ worth and was told they're super backed up on deliveries. This was August. I was told Labor day weekend or the following Tuesday my order would be in. It wasn't. They said that weekend. It wasn't. Every time I called, which was about 4 separate times, someone always said "we are sorry, we don't know what happened because our shipments come from Tennessee, but your stuff should be here this Friday or by the following Tuesday." Every time I called Saturday or the following weds, to give them an extra day, still nothing. Finally this week I called and Erica answered. She told me less than half of my order was maybe there. I lost it. I was told a manager would contact me, this was Tuesday. Today is Friday, heard nothing back. I called today to cancel, I'm fed up. My order was supposed to come the week of the 4th. Today is the 21st. When I called to cancel, they said "I'll call you back in 5 minutes, because I answered from another desk." 40 minutes and nothing. I called back and Jenny gave me attitude, saying whoever answered was with a customer, as if I shouldn't have called back. After looking at several options for my kitchen cabinets, I decided to go with Cabinets-to-Go. I was first impressed by the quality of the product and the price. Then I was really impressed by the customer service. Jim (the store manager) did an awesome job assisting me with designing my kitchen. He was very knowledgeable with their design software and gave me good advise on every possible option. He was more than happy to change / adjust the plans as I came closer to ordering. I think It took about five or six adjustments to get things perfect. I installed the cabinets myself and everything went well. Everything showed up on time and nothing was damaged or missing. What really impresses me about Jim, is even almost a year later, he still greets me by name as soon as I walk in the door! No idea how he remembers everyone... I ended up driving to the location to pick one up. The showroom was not impressive, not much of a variety to see to help decide. I ordered cabinets in November 11, 2018. My Kitchen was not completed fully until mid January. This was all due to things not being ordered correctly and customer service. I keep emailing or calling when all my pieces were going to be in. NO return call/email. I drove to Orange County Twice just pick my own counter tops because the store has a different name. Once every thing finally was installed. I contacted the office for a light rail on 1/24/19. I have not received the piece or any communication from them. Customer service has been terrible. I had to call the head office just for communication on my cabinets. DO NOT SHOP HERE!! There is a Karen that works here!! Today I decided to go with my son to check out their kitchen inventory, as me and my husband want to remodel our kitchen. We get there, and as I am literally getting out the car I see an employee in her green kia mom car making rude hand gestures to my son to hurry up and get out of her way. Unfortunately I was not able to get her name, however her name badge did state she was an "expert". She then proceeds to start making shoowing hand gestures to me and my son as if we were nothing. I was so upset that I stood there and looked at her and said excuse me?? several times and she continued to be rude. I'm not sure if she mistook us for the customers parking there from the business next door. I was so upset that I did end up walking to the business next door just because I did not want to wait for her to park and get out her car, or even go inside to spend my money. I was in my workout clothes, so yes I might of not looked like her typical customer and she probably felt like we were not important due to or appearance and race. I just feel like your employees should be a little more intune with the current times and be a little more respectful. Purchasing Cabinets was exciting! Getting my Cabinets Installed by their Installers is a horrible experience. Contractor confirmed 3 days to install. First day Friendly installer built my cabinets in my living rom. 2nd Day I was suppose to have 2 installers, no one showed up! Took 4 hours to find out from Contractor that they had car trouble. Promised 3rd day job would be completed. No show. Contractor set install eleven days out. Boss of installers showed up. I drove 2 hours to get to house. Installer said last 2 days Contractor had pulled him off my job! Not car trouble! I explained I needed 10 minutes to remove my packing items. He then said he had plenty of room and he would install my cabinets and get as many on my wall that day. Where is other installer? He said it was his day off. Unknown to me he had taken pictures during my clearing sent them to contractor who told him to leave my job & go to another job! No explanations! The installer had moved my 4 huge heavy boxes against my A/C intake in the Kitchen! No A/C to 4 me to work in. . House over 80 degrees & I am a Senior. I sent pic. of cleared room to Contractor he text that looks better! That's what it looked like when the installer was here & you pulled him off the job. He text that another installer was on his way! Again, No Show! Later when I contacted Cabinets to Go & their Independent Contractor Service? to ask how they could help me I received a text the next evening that from Contractor that he didn't know the installer he sent over had Quit! Really??? He could send me another installer next week. Really? If past performance is any indicator I highly doubt that will turn out well.... Has anyone else experienced this Nightmare? Recently completed a full house remodel and could not be happier with my experience. Jim and Andy were both extremely knowledgeable and involved in every step of the process including designing the kitchen layout as well as each individual bathroom. My wife and I went with the Palm Beach Dark Chocolate in the kitchen and the quality is incredible...solid wood, soft closing doors, etc. And the best part? We paid nearly 1/3 the price we were quoted by all of the big box stores! The first thing we do now when people come over is show them the kitchen, and the cabinets steal the show.
