Went to Cabinets To Go to extend the cabinets in our kitchen into our dining area and replace our existing laminate countertops with quartz. The team there was helpful in designing what we wanted and made some good recommendations. The cabinet measurement appointment and installation were smooth. We haven't had any issues. Pricing was reasonable, I shopped around before I went here and compared pricing afterwards as well. We are now waiting on the countertop install which is on track for next week! I'm guessing people that shop here either bypass the service in store or simply don't check reviews. I was the latter and unfortunately learned my lesson. If you can find the same quality at the same price point somewhere else, I'd head there. We order a set of cabinets from the showroom. We're told they'd be in in 10'days. Oopppss our sales lady forgot to order them... so the 10 days went to more like 3 weeks. They finally came in, we haven't built them yet... but hopefully quality stands up. We asked for an estimate on another set of cabinets. We were told they'd be about a 50% markup from the lower end cabinets. we called back 3 times to inquire about the estimate and were given excuses as to why the company hadn't processed the estimate. When the estimate finally came back it was 150% above the lower end cabinets. Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! read more

Not IKEA. The can locks disintegrated when I turned them on several cabinets. This stops everything. I expected several more to break as I assembled. Customer service was attentive but not helpful. I had to submit pictures of every instruction book with the part circled. Pictures of every cam lock that disintegrated. Pics of the box. All for disintegrated cam locks. Terrible cheap stuff they won't own up to. These are 25 cent parts that you can't proceed without. Stay away ! read more

Well, as I left this review over a week ago, actually more on Google review that probably management personnel said that they were sorry about what it happened and they would do what they needed to do to make it right. Well, still nothing's resolved I had to contact them today after a week because of the horrible Situation with the countertops were installed by Sage surfaces they busted my faucet where it was not able to use it anymore $413 out of my pocket because of what they did so I called Cabins to go today and of course they need to talk to their team to figure out what to do. I've given all the information to state surfaces. They want pictures video of the busted faucet now seeming whining the whole unit itself. You don't believe a plumber. The best thing to make this ride since Cabins to go is buttered up with the state services. We got the cabinets through our contractor James Johnson of Next Level Roofing and Construction. Yet another contractor to stay away from, look for my other review. The cabinets are very thin and not very sturdy. Our contractor James installed our pantry cabinet in the corner of our kitchen. Since the new walls were not straight, James had to adjust the cabinet to make it fit. After a year and a half the locks that held the cabinet corners failed and broke apart. I called the company to get new locks so that I could straighten the cabinet and install them. The company told me that they were not under warranty because I did not buy them even though they knew they were in my house. Lisa F with the company helped us at first contacting James as he ghosted us and never finished the job. I got as far as getting the order number and a number to call the warranty department. That was a dead end as they would not help me because I was not James. When I called her back she insinuated that o overloaded the pantry cabinet! It's a pantry. It was not overloaded. If you value your hard-earned money go elsewhere [see pics attached] It is an absolute shame that we wasted closed to $9k on garbage! Because we wanted to save a few bucks we went with this company and boy did we REGRET IT! We went with them because the floors were "waterproof/vinyl" and looked like wood. We just paid ANOTHER $9k to have Home Depot put in new flooring that turned out incredible! When the current installers asked where we got the crappy floors and how long they had been in [2-3 years] they were SHOCKED and in utter disbelief. I truly believe at one point there was a protractor involved. Well not only did we NEVER hear back about him, but they would continuously send us the SAME EMAIL they were "WORKING ON A RESOLUTION" each time we emailed and after a while, we started to think I am sure they are trying to ride out the year so we no longer had a claim of any kind. Then I called a few of the other locations [same store] and asked if they had my flooring in stock and they said NOPE don't carry that one anymore. And then it struck us crappy floors, crappy service, crappy everything, and no wonder they are not calling back they don't have ample supply of crappy floors anymore! After pleading with these people that I have rescue dogs & a senior citizen in his 80's living here they became EVEN SLOWER LOL. In this day and age REVIEWS are VITAL for companies and we thought the best we can do is leave as TRUTHFUL review as we can in hopes that no makes the same mistake we did. The floors warped, cracked, peeled, separated we had to put a braided rug as seen in pic to keep from our family getting hurt or GUESTS making fun of us. We had ONLY these floors in for just a few short years 2-3 perhaps so they were not in very long and the quality was just trash. Terrible experience here. Too bad I can't give zero stars. We arrived and were asked by the manager, Angela, to move our vehicle so their semi truck could deliver the cabinets. She showed us exactly where to park our car. Less than 5 minutes later our brand new car was hit by their semi truck! The driver was not nice even though it was his fault. Long story short, Cabinets to Go will not take any responsibility for this event (our vehicle would have been safe had we not moved it to the spot Angela asked us to). Tried contacting the regional manager - Mike Wilson. He won't even respond to our emails. Terrible customer relations!!! After many months - and almost $11,000 worth of damage, we have spent countless hours dealing with the body shop, rental cars, insurance, etc. Cabinets to Go has apparently washed it's hands of us! I bought my CabinetsToGo cabinets Oct.2014 & installed them myself, gut kitchen remodel. Now, I LOVE my cabinets even 6 yrs later. Workmanship is fantastic, even impressive. Assembly was easy enough for 12-yr old. Directions are well laid out, quite illustrated & simple to understand. After a few cabinets, I timed one---14 min., box opening to wall-ready. My paperwork clearly mentions the assembly & I think my rep (Bill?) mentioned it too. Several people complain about not knowing about the assembly, but I can't imagine the company making it less obvious over these years. That'd be illogical. Folks, pls check your invoice & ppwk before slamming a company. Only after that, accuse only if you honestly don't see it. You've got to be honest & fair. Long ago, I worked for a carpenter, all new house construction (in Joliet). We installed all the cabinets (3 options of cabinetry quality). I don't claim to be an expert, but I know more about cabinets than the average customer. Very impressive design---so creative & logical. Drawers open to 100% accessible, and glide so smoothly. If ever needed, it's so simple to take out a drawer & place back on its track. The connectors used in assembling sides together are impressive -- strong, simple. The "soft-close" drawers & doors are convenient, accurate & pretty cool. Even the hinges were designed brilliantly. I accidentally slammed a heavy object into an open door & the hinges snapped in two! Sounds odd, but that's impressive! Would you rather a cabinet door break/crack/splinter OR an inexpensive hinge break? Try finding an identical door in color, style & dimensions in 10-20 yrs. I highly recommend CabinetsToGo. This has been the worst nightmare that I have ever had to deal with and I REGRET purchasing from CTG (Bolingbrook, Illinois is the store location). First, the guy they sent out to measure, measured short and I had plumbing pipes outside of the cabinets. It was so short that we actually added a 9" spice rack and the pipes still fell outside the cabinet, but they were able to make it work. After my stone guy installed the tops, it was noticed that something was off on the peninsula and things didn't quite line up. We found out that the peninsula cabinets were installed about 1/4" crooked. The big box store I dealt with said okay, we will have the stone guy order the material again and remove and reinstall at no charge to you once the peninsula is straightened out. My tops have been sitting at the stone shop for somewhere near a year now and the big box store whom my contract is with has bowed out waiting on CTG to stop with dragging their feet. However a few months ago the stone guy reached out to me said, let's get this done, we want to help make your project right. There are many other issues with installation, for example gaps at the crown molding because the fridge panel was installed crooked, CTG's recommended fix is slapping some caulk up top so the light doesn't shine through and you can't see the gap. I could probably deal with that except that they would also like to do this so you can't see that the wall cabinets appear to not not be square or maybe possibly experienced some sort of shrinkage (not sure what happened). Every single wall cabinet has a gap at the top (only) where you can physically see the wall, this is the same with the fridge panel. Some how the bottom is fine, just the top is off at every place where cabinet meets cabinet. I was told they just need to tighten the screws, they must have come loose and then throw some caulk up top so the light does show through. Really? All of the screws came loose on every wall cabinet in the same exact spot with same exact gap? No, it would seem as thought there is a problem of sorts. I even have a few WARPED doors. Then we have the fact that raw wood is showing on every cabinet and drawer front to some degree and some drawers they didn't spray evenly so it is very light (looks faded) where the raised panel meets the middle. I had to beg and plead for a very long time for them to send someone out to look at what was going on. They sent two different companies to check it out. Replacement is what they said on all cabinet fronts. But instead of doing that they want to use pens and spray paint, their "touch-up" tools. I spoke with the company they wanted to do the peninsula repair and the "touch-up" work yesterday. As, I had sent CTG an email asking them what was going on with the repairs as I am afraid I lost my countertops do to their delay. I was informed by CTG that their installer said that I refused to have them come out to do the peninsula work so I would not lose my tops. I told that is a flat out lie, I hadn't even heard from them since they did their inspection some months ago. I ended up speaking with someone from the install company and they told me that they never told CTG that I refused anything. They actually told CTG that they were refusing to use pens and spray paint as that was improper, this was not touch up work and they did not want to be liable for making the cabinets worse. I was also told by the installer that they informed CTG that they were not going to call me back to schedule any work until CTG informed me of what was going on. CTG never called me and told me anything despite the fact that they new my cabinets were on the line. It took me sending another email. Despite their company, their third party inspector and a company I called stating pens and spray are not going to fix the issue, CTG is still refusing to do anything different. While their lifetime warranty does say they can repair or replace, in my opinion the correction is supposed to done PROPERLY, not just whatever cheap way they want to do it. read more

I had the worst experience working with the newly promoted manager at this store Victoria Krol. I have never in my life experienced such terrible customer service, lack of professionalism and entitlement from another human being. When you go to a place like Cabinetstogo you believe that you will get some design ideas and go through revisions. There are some unexpected things that can come up in the midst of a remodel. You can say I want this put ultimately when you knock down walls etc you find out well this can't be done. Prior to the project beginning Victoria was doing the design apparently I asked for too many changes. Like I am an expert in design I mean if you say I would like the cabinet here but you go home and you see that won't work well sorry it has to change. Isnt that your job? When I first came in this lady was a sales rep she was promoted soon after and that's when she became ignorant. After the fact that the installer was at my home at 7 30 am that day and noticed that Victoria ordered the A. Wrong color ... ok it happens which she blamed on me and the many revisions see text. She then B. Ordered the incorrect sizes on my island. Lets see who she blames that on. Her mistake cost me weeks in delay for the kitchen. The day when I messaged her in the AM in front of the installer she texted me that I woke her up. I texted as an fyi so I later in the midst or chaos wouldnt forget. In her text she is ranting that there is no way to change the order with out cancelling the install when the installer was already in my home! She is always negative always telling you what she cannot do! Fine I apologized then with the installer there WE call her she then starts yelling at me on the phone telling me she doesn't care that I spent $18k on a kitchen therr are people that spent more that I made changes. I then handed over the phone to the installer because there is no way I am going to get yelled at by someone that is working for me right. Beyond this there were foot rests missing boards that where sent extra that get THIS if you want your money back YOU have to find a way to get these heavy cabinets or boards back to them to u can get you money back!! I complained about that and was able to get assistance in picking them up. Gabriella saved the whole situation there. She was kind empathic and post this issue I never spoke to this Victoria again. Literally triggered PTSD. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY BUT IF U MUST GO TO BOLINGBROOK STORE. It looks like Gabby should be the promoted one. After such a terrible experience I plan on going to the Better Business Bureau next. O and here is the kicker do not buy granite from them either the company they used messed up on my over hang look at the pictures I cannot make any of this up. Pros: Most of the people I've dealt with were nice, especially at the store, and the cabinets eventually looked nice. Cons: Literally everything else. I ordered a small kitchen (13 cabinets) from Cabinets to Go. Out of those 13 units, I had 8 pieces come with significant defects that required sending back for replacements. Gouges out of the material and cracked frames were the most common, but two also had mis-drilled holes and attachments. It also turned out the original design was not done up to code (the clearance between the oven and the microwave was 5" too short), and multiple decorative pieces (kick plate, end caps) were not included or even mentioned, forcing me to discover later that I still needed them, then wait for another delivery. Including multiple shipping issues between the factory, store, and my place, this added up to months of delays. When I finally got frustrated enough to ask for compensation for all of this, I was rudely told that they don't offer compensation, ever. Apparently this is all the normal Cabinets to Go experience. I didn't list price as a "pro", because knowing what I know now, I would have HAPPILY paid more to order from a reputable cabinet company. I'm now just praying that the cabinets I'm stuck with hold up better than the experience of getting them suggests. read more

Do. Not Go. When I say the experience has been difficult, frustrating and maddening, I am understating the incompetence. After spending over three hours with a sales associate to confirm and update a prepared plan, I should have known then that this would be a painful experience. I purchased cabinets and counter tops for a small kitchen, and had my own contractor to install. Simple, right? Not. When they were finally delivered on pallets, I was informed at that time that we had to spend more money assembling everything. That amounts to $45-85 per cabinet. HUH?! Okay, things happen and we will get through this. What one should expect in that process is that several parts are damaged, and it throws off any schedule you have. And, when you hear that the store associate carries no responsibility or can take ownership to help, you get passed on to the overwhelming- ly incompetent, barely English- speaking "team". After repeating seven times that parts were damaged, and reviewing which parts, they bring the issues to the "team". And, they keep reminding you that the issues are with the "team". Finally, after a week or so, they ship your replacements--all the while contractors have to be rescheduled. At one pint, I just used a damaged piece and had it positioned so it was unseen--all to avoid the "team". Oh, let's not forget the counter tops. There was an offer for a free sink if I ordered the counter tops from Cabinets to NOT go. Unfortunately, the sales associate was not aware of it un- til I saw a sign. And, then the sink didn't come. By the time I realized it didn't come with the cabinet delivery, I called and was informed that the sales associate with whom I worked, was "no longer with the company". To top that off, they were out of the sink I chose. Yet another does of no accountability, frustration and surprise. So, I picked out a sink and asked for it be deliv- ered to my home. Apparently, the communication was not received, so I had to go fetch it myself--with no apology or concern by the store Manager., who, by-the-way, has the personality of a lamp post. Niiiiice. Now, I can have the installation completed and have the company come do counter top measurements. Once again, and unfortunately for me, this will take three weeks, and then they come back to measure for the backsplash areas--probably another three weeks to add to that process. Another reschedule. Ugh. But, wait, I'm not done. I was missing a part. So, I was forced to go back to the "team". After almost two weeks of receiving email messages thanking me for my patience, and the "team" is working on it, I am done. The process from start to finish has been so utterly strange and ridiculous, I can only laugh at this point. From irresponsible, unfriendly and unhelpful sales "associates, and the Manager, to the barely English-speaking and non-functioning customer "no-we-don't care", you are really in for a troubling time. I went into the Schaumburg store to look for new cabinets for a kitchen island. The sales person was helpful, I liked the style of the cabinets and the delivery schedule. I was told that I had to hurry because the sale ended today. I am not the impulsive type but I was told that they would not honor the sale price after the day. I decided to place the order. I picked up the cabinets a few days later, installed them and all was good. Then I received an email that stated that Cabinets to Go was having a big sale (Buy one get one free) that started the day after I purchased the cabinets. I thought most places would do a price match to protect against this. I called the store and they indicated that if I was to purchase these cabinets on the new sale I would save about $500, but the only way they would honor the sale was if I returned the cabinets and paid the restocking fee. Since I already installed them, this was not likely. So I tried to escalate this issue, called the Customer Service and I was passed around and do not seem to be able to get any resolution on this topic. Was promised a call-back yesterday at 4:30pm and I am still waiting. So be careful - the sales techniques felt a little devious and dishonest. read more

My wife and I visited Cabinets to go on 11/13/2023 to look into bathroom cabinetry for one of the two bathrooms we wish to remodel. We figured we would do one at a time as to still have a functioning shower until completed. We had a family member who was going to be around at the time our cabinets were supposed to be delivered and was going to install everything for us with minimal cost. We were also attempting to complete one bathroom prior to the holidays. We visited Cabinets to go in Schaumburg and before we left we purchased 2X30" vanity cabinets as well as 2X12" 3 drawer cabinets. Upon leaving the store the associate looked up the product and informed us it should be delivered before Thanksgiving, around Tuesday 11/21 or Wednesday 11/22. The weekend of 11/18 and 11/19 arrived and no communication had occurred yet so I decided to call the store, I called my sales associate on 11/20 in the a.m. he informed me he would look into it and get back to me when he had more information. I did not receive a return call until 11/22, and it was not from my sales rep it was from the store manager "at least that was how he introduced himself". The store manager did inform me that he was rectifying the situation. He stated that the sales rep neglected to select the button on the computer to process the order. He did apologize for the delay on the order and said it should only be a few weeks and we should still receive it prior to the Christmas holiday. Unfortunately, we no longer could get our family member to install everything due to the timing which now cost us money and then of course even though we were getting it before Christmas it was no longer going to be done by then. The office manager stated that due to the inconvenience he was going to reduce the order by 10% as well as include a toe kick as there was not one on the order. With no follow up I again called the store on 12/4 and spoke with my sales rep, he informed me that he would again look into it as he didn't see anything in the system regarding a ship date. He said he would look into it and get back to me. on 12/6 the associate called me back to inform me that the delivery would be on Thursday 12/21/2023. I accepted his update and hung up. On 12/18 the delivery person called me to let me know that they would be delivering the cabinets on 12/23 "not 12/21 as previously communicated" I questioned this to confirm that the date would be the 23rd and not the 21st as I was previously told, much to my dismay his comment was that they don't know the delivery dates at the stores. The cabinets did arrive on the 23rd, however I didn't receive the toe kick, nor have I ever been credited 10% as promised for the inconvenience we have gone through. I called the associate again on 1/2/2024 in the morning, went over the 10% promised as well as the lack of the toe kick from the 12/23 delivery, only to be told he would look into it and call me back. Again, no return call initiated from Cabinets to go. I again called on 1/4 in the afternoon only to be told Dave was with a customer and how could they be of service, I again explained my concerns only to be told they don't do 10% back it was more likely that they meant 10% off of a toe kick, and now I would have to pick it up from the store. I am now a bit upset and starting to get aggravated. I then stated that they could just credit all of my money and come and pick up their 4 cabinets, only to be told they don't do that. I would have to drop them off and I would be charged a 25% restocking fee. He also told me if I was unhappy with this, I could contact their customer care department to voice my concerns. He even had the Gaul to ask me if I recorded the conversation previously for proof and told me he wouldn't speak with me if I didn't take him off my speaker phone. I contacted Customer care, and they took my complaint and concern on 1/4/2024 at 2:30. It has now been over 24 hours and I still haven't received a return phone call from customer care. I will update again once I have a response. I have worked retail as well as customer service and tech support most of my career, having hung my hat in Project Management the last 14 years myself and I can tell you that the most important part of business is communication. The fact that I have initiated most if not all of these calls will be a lesson learned with Cabinets to go. You can't beat the quality for twice the price at the Big Box stores. I purchased cabinets for a window seat project I was doing. Turned off by the BBS price looked to the internet and found CTG. Stopped in the the Schaumburg store and told Nick Lyons the store Mgr what I wanted to do. Though they didn't offer an 18" deep cabinet (would be a custom order at the BBS) he said you could cut them down from 24" stock size. Being handy that's what I did. Being unassembled it was easy to rip them down on a table saw. I couldn't be happier with the quality and the customer service read more

Just happened to be in town from California for work and decided to walk in to Cabinets to Go in Schaumburg. I was very impressed in the hospitality. Immediately I was being attended to. Was given some very informative cabinet and flooring brochures along with some cold water while I looked around their showroom. I was very happy to see they had a large selection of flooring. Don't buy anything from this place! They fail to mention that what you see on the showroom isn't what they send. I ordered from this place and they sent me boxes and said that you have to put everything together. They never mentioned that in the store. Typical bait and switch! Do NOT buy anything from these guys. I should have trusted my instincts and went elsewhere. When I called the store and spoke to John (our salesperson) he says " I told you this already", funny thing is that I had my wife and parents with me and no one heard him say that. He then says well you can pay to set them up or we can charge you a 25% restocking fee. Terrible service and horrible product. I repeat DO NOT BUY A FROM HERE. Since Brian wants to use other people's reviews in his response I will do the same thing: make sure to check out how many of these reviewers say that they received the items damaged or not as advertised ! You can buy name brand kitchen cabinets for similar prices and NOT have to put anything together or worry about it "being damaged" . The funny thing is that even their delivery driver acknowledges that many people return the products because they were not told about having to set it up. Never again. I wouldn't give them 1 star. We ordered cabinets from cabinets to go. Our order came out to $14,000 including countertop. 2 weeks later our cabinets came and everything was there. Put cabinets together and started to install them. I notice that the white cabinets we ordered were different shades of white. Then the crown molding had a different profile than we ordered. Called the store and they sent someone out to verify they were different colors. Nick the manager did try to take care of it and ordered replacements. They were shipped and matched a little better. I don't know if these cabinets sit in a warehouse for a long time but they looked as if they yellowed from sitting so long. Just received a call from Ruchika the sales lady we ordered the cabinets with, that we needed to pay $440 more because the countertop is bigger than she set the dimensions at when we purchased everything. I will never recommend this this cabinet place, I will discourage people from even stepping foot in this place. As a matter of fact if I ride by this place and customers are in there I will go in and let them know there are better cabinet places than this. What a waste of time and money. If you still decide to order cabinet from c.t.g, stay away from Ruchika. She lies about checking on things that are wrong, or doesn't check at all. And makes the problem yours to deal with. Now the manager Nick will correct the situation and satisfy the customer to best of his ability. We are getting our countertops installed for what we originally quoted and paid for. We are happy with our purchase. We had a small project. Only needed to base cabinets for a dry bar that we were building. We came in knowing what we wanted and were given a quote in about 15 mins. Easy to put together, Directions were very hard to read. We had to do some googling to find out what parts were what because the directions are very small, no words only images. And the instructions are generic, the images were of a different style cabinet which kept throwing us off. We had to exchange a cabinet for and found it to be somewhat easy. Had to go to Bollingbrook, but just exchanged it since it was still in original packaging. Not giving 5 stars because shipping took a bit longer than expected, the employees didn't know when then would arrive to the location until the day of, in result why I had to drive to Bolingbrook beacuse it would take another few days to ship it to the Schaumburg Location. Just an FYI, you need a 20-25 SF minimum for counter tops. Over all it was a decent experience for our small project. Not sure if we would do a whole kitchen here. read more

I'm doing an update on a project they started & they almost let me down. it's been a long road to get my countertops installed, but they are installing them today on the 23rd the installer is John and he is definitely a good guy' best part of the whole job. I wish I could give no stars. Worst customer service. When measurement guy came out he wrote down three numbers, played with my dog for 7 minutes and said he had to leave because his car was running. Was promised my cabinets within two weeks. Its now close to 5 weeks and still havent been delivered. Every week its another excuse. Didn't give me anything for invonvenience besides a slight refund that isnt even half what it would cost to install. Hoffman Estates store manager didnt seem to give a crap. called him with questions and concerns and he didn't apologize once for the inconvenience. I would never recommend shopping here. Would have rather went somewhere else and bought them for double the price than to give this place any money at all. Cant wait to see what the finalized product looks....like im sure itll be shipped damaged or wont fit in my kitchen. Oh and don't even bother calling corporate customer service. Worst customer service EVER!! We ordered (3) kitchens worth of cabinets. We were told the grey would take a month, which turned into 2-3 months and then 4. Finally had to order in white just to complete the project. All cabinets had to be paid for up front. So here we are 4 months later without half our cabinets, that were bought and paid for months ago. Several cabinets had to be switched out for which we had to pay up front even if we hadn't received the other cabinet yet. When we asked about our refund we brushed off repeatedly. We are still waiting for them to provide us with an accounting of the order for which they have refused to do so. Incompetent and unprofessional staff in Schaumburg and Bollingbrook. Just moved to the area and felt my Place could use a facelift . I happened to pick up a brochure at my gym (kinda cool they have a table for there members to advertise )for CTG. Called the rep Joel on the card. Joel invited me down to the show room . Met with Joel and he gave me the all the information I asked for even got a cold bottle of water while we talked about the quality of American made floors . I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service at this location. I visited "Cabinets To Go" in Shamburg, the store manger was welcoming as we shared our interest of cabinets and designs for our kitchen, bathroom, and walking closet. Unfortunately, there was no line of communication for me to even start on this project. I contacted the store manager through phone and email and after that I never heard back from them again . In my case,I suppose the ends justify the means. I saved quite a bit of money with CTG ;but not without considerable frustration and aggravation. After quite a bit of turnover in staff, I finally landed with designer Susan and store manager,Nick. Neither one seemed to fully comprehend my order because things were missing from the files of the two previous designers I had been assigned. Missing pieces came very slowly...some ending up in their Bolingbrook store and it was quite an effort to get it all sorted out. The cabinets themselves come completely unassembled;and they are put together much like A Target or IKEA piece of furniture(which scared the heck out of me)....with cams and dowels. Once the finishing pieces get attached;they look quite nice. The cabinets are basic without a lot of bells and whistles;but those features can be added at a later time. They do ,at least,have soft close drawers which are nice. I chose Graf with Cru which are part of their contemporary line. They're laminate ,so I cannot speak to the quality of the wood. I wish I could say my experience was better. Pricing was great, sample door was nice. But that's where it ends. I felt like I had to chase the salesperson down just to get a quote or an adjustment. After 3 weeks, I started to get a bad feeling. I read the online reviews and I'm glad I did. Never revealed to me is that these cabinets ship "RTA" which, they don't even spell out. So I will, "Ready To Assemble". These are basically very expensive Ikea furniture. YOU assemble on site! For 10k I would expect they come assembled. When we went to cabinets to go and placed our order the people were very friendly, but failed to inform us that when we get our cabinets they would need to be assembled, we thought that we would just need to hang already put together cabinets and just put the doors on, but no you need to put them all together, their not hard to figure out, but had I known we probably would have payed a little more somewhere else. Second I asked for a corner cabinet that would have a blank side so another could butt up against it and they told me that they do make them so I told him I needed a 42' cabinet he told me okay, when it came it was a 36' with a 15' door, when I called to tell them I got the wrong cabinet I was then informed that they didn't make a 42' cabinet largest was a 36' but they could replace it with a 27' so I could have a bigger door, witch made no sense since I had a big spot to fill! Then we ordered pull out drawers for our pantry that didn't come in our order and I was not informed that they were on back order, so I called they told me they would be in the following week, so I waited a week and a half to call about them again, then was told I had to wait until they had more orders out near me to get to them, another week! They come and we go to install them and there is no holes in the back of the cabinets for the hardware, NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!!! I ordered a farm sink cabinet and asked if a33' sink would fit the cabinet, I was told yes, BUT NO we had to cut the cabinet to fit a sink I ordered because it was a special order so I was stuck with the sink as it was not from cabinets to go. Horrible service. My family walked in at 5:15pm on Saturday. When we walked in, there was no hello or acknowledgement of any kind. Three staff members were with talking with customers. After visiting all of the usual remodeling stores, we went to Cabinets To Go and immediately bought our cabinets from John and Joel. Their selections and options were superior to all of the other estimates. The quality and finish of their cabinets and counter tops was better than all of the competitors and, most importantly, the two designers that we worked with in the store were amazing! They assembled our kitchen from verbal specifications and created a floor plan and rendering of the finished kitchen for us. John and Joel were simply wonderful and we expect to bring our next projects to them as well. read more
