After living with our remodeled kitchen for six months, I can honestly say there isn't anything we would've done differently! The local builder we used referred us to Lauren Stewart at Studio 41 in Schaumburg. Lauren, who has an excellent working reputation with our the builder, listened to our thoughts and ideas and came up with some great suggestions. At the same time, she did not take offense if we didn't implement a specific idea or suggestion. We had thought of doing two-tone cabinets and wondered if that would be too much in our small kitchen. Lauren assured us it would work (and why!) and as a result we love our navy base cabinets and vanilla top cabinets. We love the sink and faucet! I love the shelf above the sink; and my husband got the small pantry cabinet he envisioned, which has enabled us to keep the counters free of clutter. Lauren understood our vision, and her attention to detail was second to none. We appreciated being able to borrow cabinet panels to take with us to pick out flooring, countertops and wall color. We now have an updated kitchen (no more soffits!) in our 1950s home, without losing it's warmth and charm. read more

We are once again very pleased Studio41 repeat customers. A couple of years ago, we worked with Lauren S on a major primary bath renovation. We are a retired couple and Lauren thoughtfully recommended plumbing and accessories that allow for aging in place without appearing to be a hospital or long term care space. All have proven to be invaluable. Recently, we decided to remodel two other bathrooms and were happy to find Lauren was still at Studio41 in Schaumburg. You can take an idea, bring in favorite tile samples and Lauren transforms the space into a stunning end result. Her vast knowledge of products Studio41 offers, talent for design and way of adding complimenting accessories creates a beautiful bath, not just one with new features. Many thanks to Lauren for helping us through the quite detailed bath remodels. All vanities, plumbing supplies and accessories were accurate, of flawless quality and delivered timely. As for some reviews that are posted concerning customer service, the designer/sales reps at Studio41 are customer focused and deliver. I would not recommend this store. The first time I ever visited there, i walked around and was never approached by anyone to see if I needed help or had questions. After doing my own research online I decided on a faucet and went back to the store again today around noon to purchase it. Again, I looked around for a bit and was ignored. There were two sales associates on the floor. One sales associate was helping a family order something, and there was another older woman sitting at her desk. She was fiddling with some cabinet knobs on a display board. I walked up to her, said hello and asked if there was anyone available to help me order a faucet. She immediately looked irritated by my very presence. She said there was no one right now, one associate was already helping someone else, one was at lunch and SHE was busy. She told me I could wait until the person at lunch came back, or until she was done with the knob display board. This was very disappointing to hear. When I visit a showroom to purchase high end products I do not think I am wrong in expecting some sort of customer service. It was upsetting that she could not put down the display, help me and then go back to whatever she was doing when there are no customers. Besides the family being helped, I was the only other customer in the store. I told her if she was that busy then I would go somewhere else. If you are looking for any sort of customer service, or even to feel welcome at a store, do not waste your time here. read more

I have been a long time customer of Studio 41. The main product has been their ClimateGuard vinyl windows that are locally made in Chicago. There is one employee over the last twenty five years who has given me exceptional service. Through the years we developed a great relationship and I consider Linda Perez one of my dearest friends. I'm so glad I went to this store and met Lauren S.! She was with kind, patient, and impressively knowledgeable through every step of the process from design through to implementation. She helped me through design (which I'm not good at), answered ALL my questions, tracked my orders to make sure I got everything in, swap things for my when I changed my mind, and even answered technical installation questions at the end. She knows her stuff and it shows! She made me feel like her only customer, remembering me and my order across the several months of our project. I'm a designer & have NEVER received the kind of expert advice & direction that I received at the Schaumburg store yesterday from Lauren Stewart! We had a huge hardware selection job for new home construction. I thought it would require several trips. But NO! Lauren took the reigns knowing our budget & made the job very enjoyable albeit a several hour process. Lauren should be commended, promoted, given the accolades she deserves!! Sara, I understand about your concerns for safety regulations, however my complaint is about lack of communication from your team and their lack of ownership for their mistakes and most importantly their dealing with their customers. We ordered two really expensive sinks and hardware from your store about 6 months ago. We spoke with Aga last week and was told the sinks will be shipped this week to her office in Schaumburg. We asked her to please call us once she has received the shipment. We never got a single call from her. We had our contractors lined up for installation. So, when we did not get the call, my husband called again and he was told by the site manager that it was already shipped but now they don't have anyone to upload the product because the warehouse staff is off for the next two days. We told the office manager that if only they had call us when the material was shipped especially when we asked them couple of times we will not be in this mess. As a customer, I would have been satisfied if her attitude was a little better but her total disregard and utter disrespect to her client is why I am writing this lengthy comment. Through this experience we have noticed that it is not just the salesperson but the site manager too, who has no consideration for their client's satisfaction. Nice showroom for custom or semi-custom cabinetry and more. Staff was helpful in order process in picking wood type, color, sizing, etc for a bath vanity / med cabinet. The mfg's have a lot of options when you sit down and plan with Studio41 staff. Pickup was easy and appropriately packaged from the mfg. For the naysayers... don't go 5 minutes before close; it takes time. Don't expect cheap IKEA MDF cabinets either. I can't speak to their budget lines sold but I know we ended up with semi-custom, sturdy, real wood products that are well crafted. I might recommend going on a weekday if possible for ordering. Going on a weekend once looked a little more busy with everyone trying to do the same thing. read more

We won't be using this location any more. We just spent thousands for windows and a storm door. One window is broken (double hung) and the storm door is defective. We were told maybe we should get installers who know what they're doing! We ended up calling the Naperville location and. Eric the manager recognized the defect in the door from the pictures we sent. The Schaumburg location wanted us to keep contacting the window manufacturing company and do all the leg work! Schaumburg has lost our business. read more

It's said that only extremely happy customers or extremely unhappy customers (bother to) write reviews. I was luckily a happy one. I had a great experience with Andrea, the showroom manager of Studio 41 Schaumburg location. We had two bathrooms and one powder room to renovate. Andrea worked with us before the project started to choose all kinds of fixtures, with great patience. I once learned that good salespeople didn't focus on how much money they could make, or asked what kind of budget you had; instead, they asked what you really needed. That's exactly what Andrea did. She never pushed, instead, she always guided us, answered questions, and matched the right parts. There were some unexpected during the project. Andrea worked with us all the way to the end. I have the greatest trust in Andrea and Studio 41 and strongly recommend. When I looked to post this, I was quite surprised to see some negative reviews. A common issue was that walk-in customers didn't have the best experience. I guess Studio 41 could work on that. But I always made an appointment with Andrea and certainly, every time I had a great experience. So maybe next time you can consider an appointment first. read more

Best of the Best! We utilized Studio 41 for both the design and products in the complete overhaul of our Master Bathroom. The products were very reasonably priced and the service was over the top. Also, the delivery of our products was extremely timely and the delivery person actually took the time to ensure we had all of (and the correct) items. I will say, at first, I wasn't sure (this is my first major home project) that we were going to be able to afford higher end stuff. I am happy to report, that we were pleasantly surprised. Additionally, a kuddos to Susan's (our designer) attention to detail and communication. She far exceeded our expectations. Additionally, her education over products was impressive. She would oftentimes help us in our decision making process by incorporating her own experience with products. Absolutely loved working with her. Not impressed, we were the only customers in the store with three sales associates. We were looking at a $900 sink for several minutes. Not one associate came up to us. I then went and viewed three other sinks and again nothing. We were looking to purchase a sink tonight as our basement is being refinished. We went in thinking we were going to spend a considerable amount on a sink and faucet. We left after 15 minutes. Spending our money elsewhere. read more

We utilized Studio 41 for our cabinets for our kitchen, laundry room and master bathroom. During the design phase, they were really helpful. Found out that buying the cabinets through them was a mistake as we paid a lot of money. Also, design changes that I wanted, that I had spoken about, never occurred. Luckily that worked out anyways, but it wasn't what I wanted. Also, the service there was always deniable and they never took responsibility for things that they did incorrectly. Do not work with them. Find someone else. read more

As a new homeowner and someone who is investing quite a bit of money into my home renovations I came across studio 41 when I was looking for more options for cabinet hardware. My first time walking into studio 41 I was greeted by no one, saw multiple women working vigorously at their desks on their computers but in my opinion no excuse not to look up and greet someone walking in the door. after 10-15 minutes of walking around no one bothered to ask what I was looking for or if I needed help, after some time browsing around I decided to ask one of the women sitting at her desk if it was required to have an appointment or if she was able to help me, she seemed annoyed and bothered that I needed her guidance which she was not much help to me anyway --she gave me one brochure and told me pricing on 2 items I liked. I went home to figure out what I needed on my own I returned the following day even with the subpar service the first day because they did in fact have a large selection of cabinet hardware, walking in on my second day I was tossed from one woman to another yet again feeling like I was more of a bother than a customer, I came in knowing what sizing I was looking for and the idea of what I wanted but was hoping as professionals they could help guide me on figuring logistics out....they were slim to no help the only saving grace for them was the worker Kenny, who I believe overheard how pathetic the conversation was that I was having with his coworker, jumped in to take over and help me out Kenny was friendly and helpful and professional. My third and final time in the store yet again was ungreeted, I felt like a bother, I had called ahead of time to make sure my order was ready to be picked up yet still had to wait for it to be pulled when I got there, the woman from previous days was still just as dazed and confused on how to re-check my order and make sure it was correct, she had to call A guy from the back room out who seemed to help her .....all in all I would not suggest this retailer to anyone, their customer service was beyond subpar, all I ask is if you do not actually provide the service of helping the client with the decision-making process and the staff is only there to enter in orders why even have staff why not just put merchandise on the website and allow customers to purchase it off of the website... and if this is the case my opinion may have been swayed had the first time I walked in the store I had been greeted with "hi how are you what are you looking for" and when I asked do you need an appointment in order to get help had they responded with "let me tell you or walk you through how we operate here at studio 41" read more

Over 15 minutes in the store and no contact with sales people. There were plenty of people sitting at their desks, filling their printer with paper and staring at their computer screens. We tried getting peoples attention, but no one even looked at us. I resorted to looking on the website to attempt to find what I was looking for, but the website appeared broken as pages wouldn't load correctly. What a waste of time! Everybody was very nice to me during the order process, it was when I had to do a return that things were not so friendly. The exchange took forever to be completed and and the cost went up.
