No Cabo Fresh near me & never heard of it either but when I came across it & smelled how good it was, I was intrigued so might as well give them a try. I opted for the shredded beef baja bowl (the same meat that they use in their birria tacos). The service was excellent- I asked for extra rice- she gave me extraaa, pinto beans- she informed me that there were bacon in it & asked if that's ok and I also wanted guac & she said, that's extra ($3)- is that ok? The bowl came out to be $18+, which is a bit pricey- like a few dollars more compared to Chipotle or Moho. Nonetheless, it was delicious, everything tasted very fresh and the beef was flavorful- no hot sauce needed. Definitely worth trying! read more

This is a conveyer type place where you go down the line and tell them what you want (similar to Chipotle or Moe's) if you order to build your own option. I always get a salad bowl with chicken and it never fails to fill me up. They usually load it up enough for me to have two meals out of it. The price is reasonable for the amount of food you get. There's plenty of tables inside as well! read more

Store was clean! Service was fast and food was fresh. Very similar to chipotle in a lot of ways. Wayyy less sodium than chipotle and I felt the ingredients were fresher. Many more choices for toppings for sure. If I have one criticism it's that it's far more expensive than chipotle. 2 bowls and a chicken quesadilla came out to $50. read more

Like the name says, it tastes very fresh! The ordering process was very fast and smooth. I got this for takeout, and it was a very hefty bowl! I got white rice, chicken, black beans, fajitas, pickled onions, pico, corn, and lettuce. They don't skimp out on the rice or chicken at all which was nice. Unfortunately, I do like the flavor of Chipotle much more. This bowl just had a lot less flavor. Anyways, it was a good meal, kept me full, and didn't hurt my stomach after like Chipotle does. I probably would come back if I want something fresh and light. read more

Picked up a VERY large order from here recently and the food was pretty good! It was my first time having tacos from Cabo Fresh and I can't say it'll be my last time. I enjoyed the various options for toppings that were set up in the catering order and I was especially pleased with the employees asking and offering additional items to make transport more efficient and to enjoy the meal even better. Looking forward to using them again for a small catering gig. They did well. read more

The ingredients were average and prepared as so. Their food is completely overpriced and not worth their "tenant improvements" and "modern amenities and finishes". Lastly, the staff rushes you out and are passive-aggressive and adamant about wanting you to leave. I suspect they are throttling their "utility" usage to their customers and funneling that to their other business, their new modern hotel in downtown Huntington under the Hilton name which they claimed to own previously to me and where they "house" their "family". read more

Cabo has been among our family's go-tos for years when we wanted great fast food. I must say I was recently disappointed in our latest visit. Ordered bowl with SEARED tuna which was over cooked & sparse. My husband & I each got a bowl with fountain drink and it totally just under $44. For just a bit more, we could have gone to a sit down family restaurant. The staff is always friendly and fast. While their price increases are undoubtedly due to higher prices of chicken, beef & fish, please make sure the food quality & preparation stays high. read more

My first time here was a good experience today! The staff was extra kind as they could see I was a newbie. Dinora was super patient as I tried to decide what I wanted. She guided me to select the perfect thing and it was delicious. The manager was very nice too as I paid. He didn't rush me to make a decision and seemed like he may be an owner. I asked him why the rice tastes so good. He said citrus! Pride and conscientiousness exists here with the staff. The music was great as I ate at the table. Decor lovely. So clean too! A++ read more

Nice FRESH choice for the Commack/Elwood area!! I imagine it might get pretty crowded during lunch hour/s, but we went at around 2pm and didn't have NEARLY enough of a wait (ha!!) to be able to fully check out the HUGE list of offerings available for this "inspiration" to what Chipotle and other "Chipotle-style" restaurants should be!! Do yourself a favor and grab a menu ahead of time if it's your first visit, so you'll be sure not to overlook or miss out on any of the wonderfully tempting options available here!! My mom, sister and I shared a HUGE veggie burrito (loved the pepper mix!) and a MASSIVE order of chicken nachos. They have a wonderful mango salsa, and between the cheese, chips, veggies and salsas (we had mango and pico) no chicken was really necessary. Guac. was an extra $2.00, but you get a pretty good sized scoop-- Go for it!! Love that there were fish and seafood options as well. There are a variety of juices and smoothies available, seem sort of pricey, but tempting, along with the usual sodas (not sure if I saw Jarritos) and a variety of beers. Saw they had churros for dessert, but we were stuffed!! If I still lived/worked in the area, I'd do lunch here pretty often... I'm not crazy about this place. The queso had a sour taste to me, almost like they poured some group out of a can that might've been a little bit past its prime. The Carnitas were cubes of a pork chop, so not authentic the way I normally get it el. I would not go back there. It's not that the food other than the queso was particularly bad tasting, just not what I had in mind at all and just was like a dressed up Taco Bell in my opinion. I will stick with Moe's or Chipotle for a chain type any day. For the best tacos I usually stick with small Mom & Pop places. This just didn't even come close to the other chains, let alone an authentic place. read more

Great lunch!! It's like Chipotle, Qdoba, Pancheros, etc. but I'm always down for another burrito spot! The ingredients tasted super fresh and I didn't feel overly full after (you know some of the chipotle burritos are huge). This location has a parking lot & has a few 2-person tables outside. It's cool they make the food right in front of you. Quick and efficient. The chicken could be hotter it's seems to always be cold whn I sit down to eat . And a. Nice toast on the wrap would be amazing . Over all i enjoy my food , the build is always clean and the bathrooms are well kept. Everyone wears a mask and gloves at all times. I tried this place a long time ago and remembered not having a good experience, but decided to give it a second shot, hoping the quality of the food had improved. I wish I could tell you it has, but I honestly have no idea. The phone was busy for more than half an hour, so I ordered 2 burrito bowls to be delivered through grubhub. The food was supposed to arrive within 30-40 minutes, which I was fine with. Until it got pushed back to an hour. Then an hour and a half. I had been in contact with the grubhub driver, who told me that they had been waiting, but the food wasn't ready. I could see their location, which confirmed this. After the delivery estimate reached a two hour wait for 2 burrito bowls, I ended up cancelling it through grubhub. Cabo Fresh is definitely off my list of local places to try, and looking through other reviews (and the restaurant's response to them), all I've missed is bland, overpriced food and a rude attitude from the person running the place. read more

My co worker told me about Cabo Fresh, Ok honestly thought it would be like Chipotle when she explained it to me.... It's nothing like Chipotle!!! My sister goes to this place all the time and always tells me to go. It took me a while but I finally said we'll go! I ordered the nachos with black beans, pork, queso, pico, guacamole and fresh jalapeños. It was really good! All the flavors are colliding together overwhelming my taste buds. But I can somehow taste them individually. I also got a side of mango salsa as I heard that they're good. It indeed is! I also tried my mom's burrito bowl that has steak and chicken. Both are good too but the pork has that flavor I like! I don't like the black pepper in the pico though, but it's still alright! I wasn't expecting my experience here to be as great as it was-so impressed! I was shopping at T.J. Maxx and after passing this spot many times in the past few months, decided to give it a try. I can see the similarities to Chipotle except one major thing that Cabo has which Chipotle doesn't.... hmmmm.... I forget what it's called? Oh, thats right. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Being a first timer, I wasn't sure regarding the combos or anything else regarding the menu but the guy behind the counter was kind enough to take the time out of his day to explain it to me since that's part of his job and all-never, ever received that courtesy in Chipotle. But, I digress. The food, toppings and combos are very yummy. He suggested some things to me after I explained what I liked and it came out awesome. As someone who used to like Chipotle in previous years, and who used to frequent there often, I am very happy to find great, delicious food and equally great customer service. I was finally in the area and able to stop by my favorite Mexican Grill and brought some hungry guys along for a first time experience! They said the quality of the meats stands far above the competitors and noticed a big difference, as well as the large portion size! By far the best Tex-Mex around stylish seating immaculate rest rooms friendly staff and the food is amazing! I work in Huntington this place is 3 miles east and worth the trip! I heard they just opened one in Smithtown and can't wait to try that one too! They never understand what you're talking about when.you order, or if you make special requests they have that 'deer in the headlights' look. This place is somewhat of a Chipotle knock-off with a similar concept. Had a steak burrito, was good but not great. There was nothing wrong with it, was just on the bland side. Par for the course for Mexican food in long Island, it's a long way from the border. read more

While walking over to me behind the counter, CONTINUTES to have conversation on the phone and whisper to me "hi what do you want?" in deadpan (I couldn't care less what you want compare to my phone conversation) So distracted from just listening to whoever is on the phone is now going through 6 drawers to find the ingredients, slow as snail, no conversation, no inviting, welcoming, friendly anything. Just took the phone call the WHOLE TIME making the shake. Cashier did offer me any toppings, I said "no thank you" At the end of it, cashier didn't know how to use the computer, almost charged me for $40, 4 of my shakes??? like really? You press the button once and press pay/charge w/e. And the shake tasted like thick chocolate water. So disappointed because the phone convo was more important than focusing on your job and servicing a customer. Hence customer service. From someone who works in the service industry as a waitress/bartender. It's a business...bottom line at the end of the day. Businesses all across the world rely on reviews and great feedback to keep their business successful, so people want to come back to your business. I will not be coming back. I should have come back and asked for a refund. I never write a bad review but hopefully management addresses this issue.
