My favorite "fast food" place. It's all fresh and made in front of you quickly. This is my go to place when I need food quickly that will fill me up. I order a salad bowl and I ask for rice with it. Cabo Fresh is a California / Mexican grill with only two locations on Long Island, Stony Brook & Commack. This place is really good, the food is so fresh and delicious, and the counter help so friendly and ready to explain your different options or any questions you may have. They serve gourmet burritto's with a choice of a flour or whole wheat tortilla with baja rice, black or pinto beans, choice of meat(grilled chicken,grilled steak,roasted beef, or sweet pork carnitas) or seafood(grilled shrimp or seared Ahi tuna). Baja bowl same as above but without the tortilla. That's what I enjoyed and they split half chicken/steak. The Guacamole is 1.95 extra but so worth it, great taste and homemade. They also serve quesadillas,nachos, fruit smoothies, and have a kids menu. This is truly a great place when you are looking for a Mexican grill to chow down. Cabo fresh is my go to when I don't know what to eat. I get the shrimp and mango bowl ! Sooo yummy the serving size can definitely feed three but I always end up eating the entire thing myself. Shrimp is fresh and so is the avocado , as many times as I've gone I haven't had a bad avocado day and that alone should be a reason to try Cabo. It does get pretty packed so you will be on a line but they move fast. This is NOT like chipotle. You can not compare the top they have similar style but definitely different in taste. read more

This is a family-owned business that cares about their customers and it shows! I had an upsetting debacle with GrubHub, who falsely advertised that they work with this restaurant. If it was "fresh" I would have expected it to be just seasoned and grilled. The lettuce was chopped and not crisp and crunchy. Black beans seemed to also taste processed. Cabo fresh is always accurate without making mistakes and the portions are definitely the largest of the three. This place is awesome!!! It's like a combo of chipotle and bubba's burrito bar. Cabo has a lot more options that chipotle. I tried the shrimp and the mango salsa, both of which I would get again. The hot sauce that they have in the clear squeeze bottles is delicious and reminds me of the hot sauce from bubba's. The reason I took a star off was because the chips are not good. They definitely need salsa or queso. I was hoping they would be like chipotle's chips, but sadly they are more like the free chips you get at moe's. I will definitely be back! read more

Just ate at Cabo Fresh tonight , walked in I had the Special Shrimp Mango wrap/ burrito and a Banana Daiquiri !!! Yes the kind you can actually taste the rum and not the cheap kind the really good kind I asked because I never had one like this before it was so good It was " Sammy Beach Bar Rum" The wrap was so BIG and the shrimp was cooked perfect it was so good I wrapped the half and ate it latter we got chips and Guacamole The Chips where home made and not to salty and the guac the same just perfect! Basically a wanna be Chipotle and/or Moes. Chicken is standard stuff though less flavorful than Chipotle or Moes. More toppings than Chipotle but less than Moes. I've found sometimes the freshness of the toppings is inconsistent and the hot items are sometimes barely warm. Portion size is inconsistent. One visit will result in a large portion, another visit will result in a smaller portion. Definitely less crowded than Moes or Chipotle if youre in a rush and cant wait in line but that means less turnover of food too. One annoying aspect of Cabo Fresh is that there gift cards are offered for sale in Costco along with many other restaurants. The difference is that Cabo Fresh doesnt allow the use of any coupons with gift cards purchased at Costco. I'm not a fan of that policy. read more
