Well .... 2 is being generous. This is my second time coming here. Our first time we came to this establishment was last week Saturday. We were in the mood for tacos after visiting all of my fav GREATEST TACO spots in FLORIDA, we were craving a piece of home. So we walked to the entrance only to find a security guard there and he didn't let us in because we were dressed down and apparently it was a club that night. would of been good to know if there was some hint or sign on here or online. We wouldn't of wasted the drive. And the second was today ‍ From the top,No one was standing at the hostess station to seat us. When finally someone noticed we were standing there and came from hiding, we sat waiting for our waitress. She never gave a name only asked us if we wanted anything to drink and then after we requested the table guacamole, she told us we had to wait a moment for her to finish Doing whatever she was doing (another table I would assume) our tabletop sever came and never said a word until the end. Asked if we spoke Spanish- and if we wanted it hot or mild. We ordered the tostones nachos, and the pick 2 combination plate (ground beef burrito and shredded chicken taco) with the rice and refried beans. I was nervous when I noticed the waitress didn't write anything down so I repeated especially that I wanted our burrito to be with GROUND beef. My boyfriend said she seemed offended but at the end of the day it's us eating the food and I didn't want shredded if I had the option to have ground beef . I know it's me just being picky but it's the principle, right? The food came out extremely fast to the point where we questioned if it was because there wasn't that many ppl inside at this time in a Saturday afternoon or it was microwaved. The fried plantains tasted stale, the chicken in the taco has no flavor what so ever and rice and beans were extremely salty. Not to my surprise, I noticed the burrito was shredded beef (go figure I ask and get exactly what I DIDNT want) I asked if this is how they make their ground beef? She seemed irritated with us and took it back to the kitchen. She came back and told us that "they're going to ground up some hamburger meat and season it with some taco season, is that okay??" ... ugh I guess. Idk how you guys make ground beef here lol i just wanted what I ordered from the menu. It came back a few mins later - E X T R E M E L Y salty. Lol. So if you want ground beef it's NOT you think and the alternative that you are thinking is actually correct is worse. At this point I'm annoyed. the only thing that was good was the plantain Nachos and that was a solid 3. We asked for a box and the check. Everything came to about $46 tip NOT included and the portions were pretty small. Oh and that's when we found out our serves name was Katie. Came with my BFF on a Weds. afternoon. We had the taco salad topped with salmon. Food was delicious and service was excellent. To top it off we ate outside on this beautiful sunny day! All is good. I met a friend for dinner and drinks last Thursday night and I was disappointed. Like I said in my previous review, I have been here a ton of times and its normally good, but this time it really wasn't. I chose Cabo because I thought it would be busy especially on a Thursday night, but it was DEAD. We sat at the bar and had two margaritas ($6 each)! Great deal! They were tasty just like they normally are. When we decided to sit at a table to eat it took our waitress over 20 minutes to come over to us and they only reason she came over was because I went and asked the hostess if she could get her. We ordered the table side guacamole which had hardly no flavor besides pure lime. Yuck! For our entrees I ordered the southwest quesadilla and my friend ordered a steak taco and a chicken taco. As for the southwest quesadilla, I wouldn't get it again. It was super dry and had no flavor. The ranch/ sour cream that they drizzle on top was not enough and it didn't come with any salsa, sour cream, or guacamole to dip it in. I ate half of it and threw the rest away. Really disappointing. If I go back it would be for the $6 happy hour margaritas, but for now I think I am over Cabo. read more

I love everything about this place. Their Margarita Mondays are definitely a great way to start the week! The food is amazing every time as well. Menu is a bit pricey, and you may have to wait some time.. but they do take your name and number down so you don't have to wait there. Or you can have a drink at the bar. Cabo just really looks like one of those places that belong on the strip down in Miami Beach. But it's not.. I walked in a there were a lot of people in here. There are two bars next to each other. Decorated really tropical, the music was great & I was feeling the vibe. I squeezed up to the bar because there were no seats and asked for a drink menu. Immediately, my first thought was that this menu reminded me of Wet Willie's. I swear all they're missing here is one of those signature cups lol. However, all that being said, the actual drinks are beyond weak. I ended up ordering the mojito margarita and my friend got the sangria and needless to say we both sipped on our juice or whatever it was and kindly walked right back out. I can't speak on their food. I have eaten here before but it was at least 2-3 years ago and I guess it wasn't great because I never rushed back. But if you're looking for somewhere to have a few drinks and get a little buzzed then please don't do it to yourself and stumble in here. Sorry P s. Honestly, Cabo is very overrated. The food is good, the atmosphere is nice, it's very busy during specific days/times (usually weekends). I think they need something to spruce them up, a lot of new spots are opening up and I've been here multiple times - there's definitely competition brewing (especially with other more authentic Latino/Hispanic food spots opening up in the area). We decided to come to Cabo to celebrate my moms birthday since it's one of her favorite restaurants. It gives off a great party vibe and has music throughout the place. It's very loud so if you're looking for somewhere quiet it isn't for you. They also don't do reservations so it's walk ins only. Be prepared to wait in line for a bit. One sad thing is the table side guacamole isn't made by the table anymore they do it in the kitchen but we still ordered it anyway. I ordered the Swedish fish margarita and my boyfriend ordered the orange margarita. I expected the Swedish fish to come in a fish bowl as mentioned but it didn't, I also expected it to be sweet but it was so sour that I had to add 3 sugar packets. The rest of my family had margaritas and Long Island iced teas. The food was great, we all loved the guacamole and chips with salsa. I loved the fajitas I got and how I could make it on my own with the ingredients that were brought to me. It was a fun night. We ended up spending over $500 on the food and drinks for 7 people and 1 kid. read more

This place is a mess! We were there for Super Bowl, they had 22 places set on 6 two person tables. Then Took best part of an hour to get our first drink (which was good) The food, First the waitress forgot my steak fajita (medium rare) 30 mins after everyone else, out it comes well done... The waiter says yes it's over cooked, I will bring out a new one. 45 mins later, where's my meal. "Ohh I had to get manager approval first, otherwise I have to charge you"... 15 mins later I get handed a plate of meat only. They had already taken away the rest of the platter... The guacamole had been sitting so long it turned black. One and a half hours after everyone else's meal! And we were the only people in the restaurant! Then I had to beg for the bread... And it never arrived! We were there the best part of 3 hours, the waitress only asked us about drink twice! This is a great place to drink, the order some bar food. If it comes an hour or so later it's not a problem, just don't go here to eat first and drink second. This place really needs to be on that "Restaurant Impossible" show! read more

Mexican food always a great pallet option. Although this was my first time dinning here. Had no idea they had outside dinning options with a full bar, tv and live band performance. Immediately they offer chips and salsa while you glance over the menu. Party of four (4). Immediately our waiter ( Chris) introduced himself and offers drink options. Since its my Birthday I figured I'll try the margaritas Bellini with champagne. I had three along with a shot of Amsterdam pineapple. We had such a great time. Atmosphere was awesome. Lighting and decor was very elegant made me feel like I was on/at a resort. I had a chance too sing with the band. Fittledd the electric guaitar. Also duet with the lead singer. She was amazing and cool letting me get in her set. Ordered a Cobb salad with chicken. The shell held everything together really enjoyed the combination of avocado, chicken, egg, the bacon. What made this salad literally finger licking good was their balsamic dressing. Omg they need to bottled it and sell it. Excellent! Other food during our visit were: steak fajita, short ribs and hamburger., desserts. By the time all was said and done. Our bill was over $300.00. I've ordered pick up here several times and enjoyed the food. One time they forgot a dish and when I called to let them know that I'll come back for it and if I could get some fresh tortilla chips because what I got was stale, they gave me a huge bag that were fresh and hot. I can understand when mishaps occur, but I appreciate management trying to make up for it. I recently did a catering order pick up over the weekend and the workers were very friendly. I think the manager came up to greet me and helped get the food in my car. Another gentleman (maybe the owner) came over and introduced himself and said the food would be right out. Been here a ton of times, I don't know how I never reviewed yet! The food is really good and there are a ton of margaritas to choose from. I have yet to be disappointed in any choice I've made there. There is sometimes a groupon and there's free guac if you check in when you get there. The only downside to this place is how busy it gets. Any day at any time it seems to be packed! But they do take reservations. They also have outdoor seating when it's warm out and DJs on weekends. I have seen them host events and book signing/meet and greet type things so I'd say check their website before you just show up. I came here late after work for some spanish food and good drinks. We ordered the crab cakes, ceviche, and the chicken fajitas. The crab cakes were okay...the mango sauce was cold so I felt like the dish was cold which I didnt like too much. The seafood ceviche didnt have that much flavor so we barely touched that. The chicken fajitas were really good! it came sizzling with a side of all different toppings. The next day I heated the chicken fajitas and it smelt and tasted great. The drinks were okay too. I've been coming here on and off for a few years now with family and friends and I must say, Cabo had gone more and more down hill every time I come. The drinks are awful. When I was sitting at the bar on multiple occasions, the counter was sticky and you can see bugs in the different bottles. The bartender Carolina was more interested in talking to her coworkers and on her phone, making the service that much slower. It took almost an hour to get our appetizers, I think she might have forgot to put them in. When we asked her about them, she brushed us aside and said the kitchen was busy which was odd because the restaurant was mostly empty. She gave me a dirty look when i paid the check, making me feel more uncomfortable. I don't think I'll be back. read more

The service was sub par the food was gross and the music was god awful i wish i didn't have to pay for this horrible experience. Came here on a weekday afternoon with a friend. We chose to sit at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and attentive to our needs. She gave us the menu and walked us through all the drinks and gave us suggestions. It's always good to have that when you go to a place for the first time. My friend and I had bulldog-style margaritas which were pretty tasty. (they grenadine syrup in the beer; interesting!) We also had the fried calamari which was good, I've tasted better though. The sauce it came with was amazing by the way. Other than that, the atmosphere here was very relaxing and pleasant. I recently went for the first time this past Sunday for Brunch which runs until 4p.m. The drinks were good as always. The food on the other hand fell short. The bread for the burger was stiff as if it was sitting in an oven for too long. The chicken and waffles lacked flavor. The seasoned butter was flavorful. The good, great area, parking not perfect but not bad for NY. Greeted at door by a pleasant hostess, originally tried the bar for Happy Hour (too busy), so voted on a going with a table. Ordered quite a few items, everybody loved the food from Wings, Shrimp to Mucho Nachos with brisket and made at table Guacamole (which was awesome as one of us has food allergies). The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. No take home boxes last night, and not because of issue with quantity, just was devoured. The Manager came around and checked on everyone in the dining area (cool) and when paying our bill our waitress asked to see ID with the credit card which is refreshing. Having your card stolen once will make you appreciate the action. My only issue was the restrooms, one for each, male & female so was a line and the Mens door lock did not work so had visitors while using(not cool, for them ). Ok so I decided to take my friend here for her birthday. She loves Mexican and I NEEDED a good margarita. I have to agree with other reviewers that the good is just ok. I found my burrito to be a bit bland. I didn't like the fact that there were no beans. And when I asked for hot sauce I was given Tabasco. Where's the El Yucateco?! Now I consider myself a foodie so the food definitely wasn't impressive. HOWEVER I'm willing to accept just okay food in exchange for fantastic drinks and superb service on occasion. Margaritas are huge and the varieties are very strange and delicious(I mean I haven't had all, but they all sound good). I'm hoping to try each at least once. The waitress was super sweet and helpful. She noticed our chips were kinda bottom-of-the-bagish and she brought us a fresh batch with beautiful whole chips. The salsa was tasty and had a nice heat. Of course I had them sing happy birthday and it was magnificent. They give the birthday person a straw sombrero and a complimentary photo to keep. The music was FANTASTIC. Really really nice vibe. All in all I'd say this place may not be the best option if you're craving authentic tasty Mexican fare. But it's perfect for a great drink, snacking, and relaxing with friends.
