We had an absolutely incredible time at this spot last Saturday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Riding our bikes down HB we heard some nostalgic live music playing so we pulled over to see what was going on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a band of young musicians playing emo and pop punk music that my wife and i grew up to.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ended up parking our bikes and ordering some food and drinks. The wife and I shared a bucket of modelos and a pizza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Because we had beer, they told us we had to sit in their shaded patio area which was amazing because it was a hot one that day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] By the time we sat down our drinks were already being delivered to us. Shortly after we got our pizza. They had some other food we wanted to try but the young musicians on stage said it was the best pizza in HB so we had to see if it lived up to it.... and she wasnt wrong the pizza was darn good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ended up staying a lot longer than we expected as the bands on stage were playing hit after hit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We are definitely coming back here, highly recommend this spot! read more

Went to Cabo Wabo Sand Bar to see the All Star Trio play (https://www.gigtown.com/artists/all-star-trio). The band was great as usual. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We loved the food, the covered patio and the service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The manager, Toni was amazing with all of his customers. Rarely do you see the manager roving around the dining area making sure his customers are all happy. Especially at a hotel! We arrived at Huntington Beach and my bf and I needed something to snack on while we relaxed on the sand. Cabo Wabo Sand Bar was the closest thing to walk to and I was wondering if this had even been here because I thought it was something else before. Turns out they opened about 2 weeks ago after talking to the employee that was taking our order. This is an extension of the Hilton Hotel, "The Waterfront Beach Resort" and they also have the Cabo Wabo Beach Club as well. My initial thought while walking up to the stand was "Oh this is just going to be another overpriced beach place with basic cafeteria food." Looking at the menu, the prices actually weren't too horrifying. We ended up choosing the Smoked Garlic Parmesan French Fries ($7) and Smoked Brisket Ends ($10). The fries were warm and crispy. A fairly good portion too! The garlic and parm aspects were severely lacking that we literally forgot that it was supposed to come with them. We thought we got basic fries. There was some random stringy pieces of melted cheese that my bf thought there was accidentally shredded lettuce in it and I said I think that's cheese lol. 7 bucks sounds reasonable for garlic parmesan fries, but if they were just regular basic fries, then I feel like $5 would suffice but it doesn't look like that's an option on the menu. The smoked brisket ends were tender, saucy and flavorful. Didn't have any complaints there. I loved that it came with BBQ baked beans too! It made it sound more worth it for the price! They also provide toast which was nice. But it's only 1 bread slice cut in half so it's a piece for each of us. Wish we had another slice though because we liked dipping it in the beans and putting the brisket on it! The workers were sweet and inviting. The seating patio to the side is nice as well. Some people were sitting, eating and hanging out. It was a little chilly at the time we went and the workers made sure to turn the heaters on. They weren't too hot so it was comfortable to sit below it while we waited for our order. Would love to try other things the next time we come to the beach! read more

Summer in Huntington Beach means going to the beach! Just found out about Cabo Wabo Sand Bar - across from the Hilton, right on the sand and owned by Sammy Hagar. We each had a drink and one was a pina colada that was light on the rum so we went up to order a shot of rum to put in the drink. The drink was $14 and the shot was $18!! That's not right, so I looked on their online menu and it said $8-9. I went up to the front and told them and she wouldn't even acknowledge it. She said "ohh that's our Vegas menu". Basically I paid $12 for the brioche bread loaded with fat and gristle. Fries and pickles were good, presentation all that but "horrible"! I asked the waitress if this was typical as I showed her my plate full of slimy fat, she said yes and walked away. Spent a couple days at the Hilton and spent plenty of time at the Cabo Wabo Sand Bar! Ths food was delicious and arrived quicky, and the drinks were spectacular. Staff was attentive and kind, and overall the experience was great!
