Great views, great drinks! Free parking across the street. This place does get packed so be mindful! Highly recommend!

My brother had his wedding at the Lido Hotel a few years ago and our family loves this area! I took a couple of out of state friends here for their first "OC" experience before exploring the peninsula. They really loved the vibes and got all their California sunset pics here lol! Definitely a great place for a chill drink before dinner and a gorgeous view! We got some oysters and to share and a couple rounds of drinks and really enjoyed our time here! Also the service was super quick, our server was upbeat and knowledgeable!

Topside is located at the Lido House Hotel. Valet parking is $16 with no validation. It's a great spot for cocktails with a view, especially at sunset when the atmosphere is at its best. I'd recommend going after 5-6pm...earlier in the day the sun can be brutal, and it's not the most comfortable experience. ATTENTION PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT THEIR SKIN: there's not a lot of shade offered, so plan accordingly. Bring a hat, lather on the sunscreen, etc. I chatted with a girl who was there on a first date and she was not happy that her face had literally melted off in the short hour she'd been there That said, the drinks are solid and the setting is beautiful.

    Ube taquitos were great!

Came here on evening Sunday to watch the sunset and have some drinks. I ordered the Ube cannolis, but they look more like taquitos. My friend got a drink and she really enjoyed it. Can you order from the bar and they bring you your items to you The rooftop deck has some immaculate views. It's first come first serve seating on a lot of things. There was plenty of seeing when we got there on a Sunday evening. They have valet parking which is $16. They do not validate.

Always cool vibes when it's near the beach, especially on a rooftop! It's a very coastal and chic place, located on top of the Lido hotel. We came here during July 4th and good thing we made reservations in advance for a seat. Others were standing around with long lines at the bar. Menu was small and drinks were just ok, but it was cool lounging and chatting until sunset when fireworks started to go off. Good thing we ate prior to coming here because it's not a place to dinner. It's valet only, pretty convenient that day since we didn't need to drive around to find busy street parking. Overall cool place to check out if you enjoy drinks and fresh air near the beach.

Came here after spending the day by the pool and I was so delighted by our experience. Just wanted to get a quick drink and I have this obsession with olives that the bartender happily obliged. The margarita was delicious and the perfect way to end the night with great views.

Topside is such a fun rooftop bar in Newport. I missed the sunset when I went last weekend but the view from up there is still beautiful. They have a DJ playing mellow tunes, low-key and relaxing, though requests are not allowed and the volume stays moderate. The crowd is a nice mix of old and young, giving it a lively yet chill vibe. We were seated right under the heat lamp so it was surprisingly warm and cozy. The Photo Booth added an extra element of fun to the night. Drinks and snacks were great too, perfect for a casual evening with friends. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Came here one evening for a glass of wine. The ambience was great, with fire pits and booths to choose. The bartenders were very kind, create a good conversation and being personable. I really enjoyed my time here, I can't wait to come back.

Great vibes, atmosphere, drinks and views! If you're looking for a spot for a big group or to hang out and grab drinks, this is a great option. Heads up - you do need to valet your car which was about $15, and drinks are around $20-25/each. Prices can definitely add up but you are paying for the atmosphere, views and location.

One of my favorite places to get drinks either during the day or for sunset! The views are amazing and you can see a lot of new port and the ocean! The food is great, they are always changing the menu and have lots of options. The burrata with fresh water melon and cantaloupe is my absolute favorite!! They have a large cocktail list. Typically I get a glass of of wine or if in a group they sell the bottle For a good price and bring it in a bucket to keep cool of white or sparking. The wait staff is so friendly and helpful! It is my go to for a great sunset happy hour. I bring anyone who is visiting here.

Drinks are always flowing and good times here are the norm. Drinks are on the expensive side but the quality and ambiance of the location set the mood right. Darren provides top notch customer service making everyone feel like a VIP. Can't beat this spot in Newps.

The inside is elegant and charming. We started with the Wood Fire Octopus - 10/10. It was outstanding. So flavorful! The potatoes and shishito peppers were a nice touch. For my entree I had the Fish and Chips - 10/10. This was delightful. It was paired with fries, peas, and a curry remoulade - omg sooo good! I loved the peas. For dessert we had the chocolate budino - this was a hazelnut streusel paired with some caramelized bananas. This was also a 10/10 - so delicious. Our waitress was wonderful! She gave us some great recommendations and was very friendly. Overall, we had a lovely dinning experience! Everything was exceptional! A note for parents: they had a high chair and a kids menu. The place was kid friendly. I appreciate this so much!

They also accommodated us well with a baby dining with us, giving us a high chair and finding a place to store our stroller, so that was very much appreciated! The ambiance was great. Classy and upscale and not giving off too trendy of a vibe. We certainly enjoyed the decor and how the restaurant was set up. We started with the Wood Fired Octopus (9/10) for our appetizer and it set a nice tone for the rest of the meal. Octopus was cooked to perfection, not too chewy, but with a good texture and bite. The potatoes, sofritos, chorizo and sauce were a fine compliment to the dish. For the main entree, I ordered the porchetta (7/10). It was cooked well, over polenta and was pretty good. The porchetta had a bit more fat than I would normally like, but the pork and polenta was very flavorful and I enjoyed the dish. I also ordered The Ritual Cocktail (9/10), it was very good, with the perfect balance between the bourbon, some sweetness and smokiness. Very well crafted cocktail. Dessert was fantastic as well (8/10). The 2 desserts we got were different but so good. Wish they had some ice cream with them to get them to the 10/10 category, but solid desserts, nonetheless. Overall, very impressed with the restaurant, service and food. Would highly recommend and would love to come back and try other items on their menu!

TLDR; Pretty sure this spot used to a pretty crappy brunch buffet spot. Decided to come and see…read morewhat the new spot is like. Advertised live dj on sundays when we made reservations and there was no live music. Food is overall bland as hell, steak was chewy and dry and unsalted it seems. Chicken and waffles board was probably the worst chicken and waffles I've had, and all the sides that came with it seemed random as hell. We were excited to try a newish brunch spot out and to get a bottle of champagne for mimosas. Little did we know, that the mimosa would be the best part of the meal. This spot replaced a super crappy brunch buffet, that was one of the saddest buffets I've ever been to. Saw that they opened a new concept and saw that they advertised live DJs on sundays for brunch. So we decided to try it. We sat down and ordered the chicken and waffles platter and steak and salad plate. The chicken and waffle plate was really not that good, not a single item on the platter was good. Waffles, you can tell they tried to make it fancy, but just tasted weird and dry. The syrup, looks like they make in house also, not sweet enough and bland. The chicken was the least bland item out of everything, but it's not worth it at all. The steak was one of the chewiest, dry steaks I've had in a while also under seasoned, maybe even no salt. The chicken platter also had random items on it, that made no sense. Random sprigs of rosemary, marshmallow amongst other items. Nothing seemed to gel and it looked like they were just trying to fill the space with easy things. The mimosas that came with the chicken and waffles platter was the star of our meal. Honestly, I'd say it's hard to make food taste this bland and whatevers. With what they are charging, the steak shouldn't be dry and chewy, let alone not seasoned. Everything was under seasoned like we were in a cardiatric ward in the hospital. You can make better food following any recipe on YouTube. 2 stars for the mimosa and the server was very friendly, service wasn't anything to write home about though. Not busy at all, and a lot of workers just standing around. We didn't get checked on much throughout the meal. Oh and the valet was free at least.
