Kaylyn & Andre were awesome! They both took great care of us. We just stopped in for a quick small snack. We had 4 spam musubi's and a side of Mac salad. Fun atmosphere!

This place has a great view and vibes here at the aloha grill. The bartenders are amazing here. Our favorite drinks is the rainbow cocktail with the rum float, especially a day after a hot beach day. We will return soon

I visited Aloha Grill again with some friends to have breakfast before the Pacific Airshow. They are located on the second floor with a good view of the sky towards the beach. This is also a great location to look down on Main Street and people-watch. They have a great Bloody Mary for only $14. It has a tajin rim and is garnished with a strip of bacon and an olive. I had the Breakfast Quesadilla ($16). It is a good size, not greasy at all, and is stuffed with eggs, cheese and bacon. The green sauce it comes with was very flavorful. This plate also comes with a good portion of hash browns that are nice and crisp on the outside with a few chopped green onions on top. Kasey and Chris were very friendly and provided great service.

We visited Aloha Grill for Sunday brunch and couldn't have picked a better spot. Sitting on the patio overlooking HB Main Street was perfect--the weather was warm with a light ocean breeze. We ordered the Hawaiian Brunch, and wow, it was a feast! Flavorful fried rice, two generous slices of perfectly seared Spam, four pieces of Portuguese sausage, and two eggs cooked just right. Every bite was delicious. We paired it with a couple of Rainbow Slushies topped with a dark rum float--absolutely refreshing. Our server, Chris, was attentive and friendly, making the morning even better. A perfect Sunday brunch experience--we'll definitely be back!

I'd like to thank our bartender Yuvi for recommending my fish today at Aloha Grill. It's a restaurant on the second floor and has its own patio for outdoor seating. Not your typical Hawaiian food as there also tacos here! I got the fried rice with shrimp and my friend got the teriyaki bowl. Best news is that they do accept Apple Pay!

While I haven't had the chance to their order food, I did experience their rainbow drink with the additional dark rum float. The drink was fantastic, just sweet enough and refreshing. I would easily come here for their drink options alone and for the views from their upstairs bar. Can't wait for my next visit to try their food menu!

Let me tell you exactly what to do to have a 5 star experience at aloha grill. Begin by parking in the parking structure directly across the street from the restaurant. It's free for 90 minutes and $1 per 10 minutes after that. Sit outside facing Main Street, order a rainbow slushee with a floater (alcoholic) Order the pork nachos. It's a generous size for sharing. Order a rainbow poke bowl. Add grilled shrimp on top. This will be a lot of food, you will probably have leftovers. Service is great, food is epic, and views are irreplaceable. I take all my guests here, and go every summer for the poke. Thank me later aloha!

Kaylin the bartender was FANTASTIC! Food and drinks slapped as always! The best vibes everrrr and great service!

The burger itself was decent, but definitely not worth the price. Unfortunately, the service was the worst I've ever experienced we waited an hour just to get drinks. We chose to sit outside, but multiple items were forgotten, including an entire entrée. While the burger was probably the best dish of the meal, everything else we ordered had poor flavor, making the overall experience very disappointing. Save your time and money.

Always a fun experience. Not sure who works the door anymore, but back in 2012-2015 I was always nicely greeted with a colorful Lei. I may have eaten there, but I normally went for the view and Frozen Rainbows

We dined here yesterday March 9th about 2:30pm. There were 2 bartenders working. Male bartender helped us on the patio. Super friendly. Nice ambience. I haven't been here for a rainbow in ages....maybe 16 years. I remember this place packed on weekends. I feel like if you gave the patio a little love and maybe changed the inside a bit. Make it a little more loungy. Some things definitely could use some painting on the patio. I remember something was very rusty and could use a coat of white paint over it. The bathrooms def could use a cleaning (wiping the stall doors) and stocking of seat covers and toilet paper. The service was a 5 star as well as the food. The male bartender was friendly and nice. We would definitely come back. The appearance of the restaurant maybe 3 stars. There are lots of new, updated restaurants on Main St. I think a revamp would help.

I have never eaten here before but have been twice. Solely for their infamous Rainbow drinks. They are so pretty and make for a great photo! ;-) They sure are tasty and can sneak up on you so be careful. Wednesdays they are only $8 each!!

    Did they close down?

No idea, my friend Justin used to work the door sometimes but I can't seem to find his phone number anymore. I t would be a shame if it is true. That place is legendary and we used to go once a week. The small restaurants that are open in spite of…

    Did they close down?

No, it's just a dive. Head up the stairs next to Wet Dog Tavern.

Are they open for pick up? Our sons Bday is Thursday & his heart is set on Aloha Grill!

I don't think so. They haven't been open since the last round of the lockdowns. Happy Birthday 🎈

Does anyone know if they are open tomorrow (Memorial Day)?

    Yes, I just called them.

Is this 21 and over only?

No. There is a bar and balcony area with high tops and there is a restaurant area on the other side away from the bar goers

Who was the young gentlemen behind the bar who gave me my debit card back tonight 10/17? THANKS(:

The wings were sweet and spicy with a subtle ginger undertone and SO yummy. I also tried the michelada and chimichanga. The michelada was just okay for me, but the chimichanga was crisp and packed with flavor. I loved all the fresh toppings that came with it, gave it a nice, refreshed taste that balanced everything out. I also ordered the chicken taco paired with buttered peas from the kids' menu for my son. He wasn't a fan of the lettuce that came with it , but I actually appreciated that it came with veggies. He loved the peas. Service was also great. I'll definitely continue coming back. I also love the location being right in the shopping center. Menu said late night happy hour daily but server said that meant daily weekdays. Lol. We weren't sure about that so we asked another server who was better able to say that they no longer offer late night happy hour. Which sounded much better than saying that a menu that says daily means Monday through Friday. I'm always amazed at servers who clearly don't know what they're talking about and try to make me think I'm wrong. Something that says Monday through Friday 3:00 to 5:00 and daily after 9:00 does not mean Monday through Friday. Daily means daily which means everyday. We came for a birthday dinner, and it was…read moreeasily one of the most heartwarming and delicious dining experiences I've had in Los Angeles. This mother-and-daughter operation has a warmth you simply can't manufacture. The mother personally came over to greet us, the ambiance was impeccable, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. We had the shrimp curry, beet salad, French onion soup, short rib, scallops with mushroom risotto, and raspberry cheesecake, and everything was phenomenal. After finishing the shrimp curry, we still had some of the incredible sauce left, so our waiter suggested a half order of garlic bread to soak it up. Absolutely fantastic and exactly the kind of thoughtful recommendation that defined the service. Even the things I initially thought I wanted differently turned out to be perfect as served. I wished the French onion soup had more cheese until I discovered it at the bottom and realized the proportion was perfect for the flavor. Even the filtered water may genuinely be the best I've ever had at a restaurant, and our glasses never went empty. They also boxed our leftovers for us, another small detail that showed the level of care throughout the night. I'm honestly surprised Heirloom hasn't made the Michelin Guide. The service was on par with many Michelin-recognized restaurants I've visited, but with a warmth and personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. They comped a raspberry cheesecake for the birthday, and it was so incredible that we ordered another slice to take home. They surprised us by comping that one too! Exceptional food, impeccable ambiance, genuinely thoughtful service, and hospitality with real heart. Don't miss this place.

Let me start with the positives because the food was genuinely good. I'm not even an eggplant…read moreperson, but their eggplant appetizer was so good. They're known for their French onion soup and it was good, but I definitely wouldn't call it the best I've ever had. That said, it was probably two hours after we sat down by the time we actually got our soups , so maybe we were just really hungry by then haha. For our mains, we did the short rib, pork chop, and filet. Everything was delicious, but the filet was hands down the standout for me. The pork chop is wet aged, so it can look a little pink even when properly cooked, which threw one of my dining companions off a bit, but it was still good. Unfortunately, the experience was a different story. We had a 6:30 reservation and didn't leave until 9:45. We waited about an hour just for our appetizers, and shortly before they arrived, we were told they were down a cook and to expect delays. A three hour and fifteen minute meal for two and a half courses is just crazy. My biggest issue was the lack of communication. I wish we had been told when/before we were seated that the kitchen was significantly delayed so we could decide whether we wanted to stay or make other plans. Instead, we were already well into the experience before we got that information. The AC also wasn't great. It wasn't unbearable, but it was definitely uncomfortable, especially during Southern California's heat wave. I'm not sure if the AC just isn't very strong or if there was an issue that night, but sitting there for more than three hours while already feeling warm definitely didn't help. Then, right before our mains finally came out, we were offered complimentary half glasses of wine as an apology. Two of us declined, and one of my dining companions actually requested a completely different drink, but the wine was still brought to the table anyway (never received the requested drink either). If we've already said no, please don't bring it anyway. And honestly, after waiting that long, you need the full glass haha. At that point, I would have much rather been offered a complimentary dessert or something that actually addressed the three hour wait. The owner did come by twice and was very nice, and we were genuinely trying to be understanding of the situation. I just think there could have been more communication and a more meaningful effort to make up for the experience. Dessert didn't really redeem things either. We tried the crème brûlée and banana bread dessert, and neither would make my list to order again. The crème brûlée seemed overcooked and the banana bread dessert just didn't do much for us. So where does that leave me? The food is good, and there are definitely dishes I'd order again, especially the filet. But good food can only make up for so much when you spend more than three hours at the table, especially when you're hot and waiting most of that time. I'd be willing to give Heirloom another shot, but not before we get some cooler weather and I can confirm they've actually hired a second chef to help keep things moving at a more reasonable pace. If those things are sorted out, I'd be interested in seeing what the experience is like when everything is running the way it should.
