Cabos is good but not consistent. The grilled chicken on anything is usually the best. Steak fajitas are not great consisting of mostly onions and little meat. The grilled chicken version is much better. The best thing in my opinion is the burrito rocquette with grilled chicken. I get it with chopped fresh jalapeños and it's spot on. Brown salsa is tasty and usually the chips are good. Barria tacos were pretty tasty and their enchiladas are recommended. My biggest issue is that if you want hot sauce, jalapeños, extra salsa or chips they charge you. If you want a little queso poured on top if your burrito its 2.50. They always forget my brown salsa and drink with the kids meal. It happened 4 times in a row even after I called them and I stopped using the delivery services. I usually got to Spouts Spring but stopped while in the area at Ridge Road. The food was good and comparable to what I was use to at S.S. The difference was our server Alula. She did a great job. My husband loves margaritas, so we frequent several Mexican spots. This one has exceeded my expectations with good food and good drinks. The camarones con crema (shrimp with cream sauce) were so delicious (even though the menu said spicy I was looking for the spice). The cheese dip is also a winner. My father in law had the chicken fajitas and cleaned his plate. My husband had the steak fajitas and they were also killer. The service was exceptional especially since they got about 5-6 tables after we sat down. The freshness of the food really shows here. Thank you Cabos we will be back soon! Never been here for lunch, only dinner. The staff: The staff is very friendly, attentive but not obnoxious. You can actually carry a conversation in this place as it isn't overly loud. I have rarely had to wait for a booth or table, actually I don't think I've ever waited more than 3 minutes before getting our table. The food: your common TexMex meals. The have their specialties, specials and a la carte and a special menu for kids. I usually get "Parrilla Chicken" grilled chicken breast with bell peppers and onions served with yellow rice and a small salad. I have also tried their "Steak a la Tampiqueña" which comes with a cheese enchilada, rice, refried beans etc. Definitely worth checking out if you happen to be in the area. read more

Im sure it had the shelf life of about 3 years. I didnt trust to get the margarita since my last experience in a mexi place in Georgia. That texmex thing is awful. Everything we order here is super & the closest to authentic Mexican you can get from a suburban restaurant. The Cabos Special Tacos are hands down the best on the menu. The chips are fresh, it is very clean, and now I can't eat Mexican anywhere else in Hall County! They are also very accomodating of the finicky palates of 4-year-olds. They have chicken tenders, burgers and plainer fare, and will also do special orders. Really enjoyed this place. It's in an unassuming corner of a strip mall right across from the Kroger on Hamilton Mill road. Service was good, and the interior was clean. Good food and great service. Went with a group and we got the fresh guacamole to start. Fresh ingredients really make a difference and our server did a great job with making it table side. They were also generous with chip refills, always nice not to have to ask. Our table got fajitas and the shrimp mojo. Both great choices. The shrimp was a little too garlicky (covered with diced garlic), but after some garlic was scraped off and combined with the rice, guacamole and pico that come with the dish, it ended up being just right. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Got charged $1 for getting a kids meal, which is fine. Then an extra $2.25 for the drink that comes with it?? Then when I asked the server, she has the nerve to say, "if you're honestly gonna complain about $2, then i'll take it off" Also tried to say she had to charge me to take the chips on salsa on the table to go?? First of all, you shouldn't talk to your customers like that in ANY circumstance. An easy explanation would have been a lot better than that. First they forgot my rice, the "grilled onions" on my steak tacos were barely cooked, basically raw & I wanted corn tortillas (which it specifically ask you corn or flour) and they still gave me flour. We decided to try this place after reading the reviews on Yelp. Our favorite Mexican restaurant was unfortunately booked. This was an okay experience. Nothing was really wrong with it, but it was also not the greatest. The salsa that we got definitely did not taste homemade, it tasted like it came out of a bottle. The cheese dip was okay, but a little too milky or watery. The steak burrito that my fiancé ordered was funny and extremely fatty. He also asked to have the jalapeños removed, but you could still taste them. My cheese enchilada was congealed cheese on the outside which was rather unpleasant. The beans in my bean burrito tasted of lard and fat which made them taste slightly tangy or off. The rice was okay, it just did not have much flavor to it. I've been to many Mexican restaurants and this one was just ok. Atmosphere was consistent with other Mexican grills. If the salsa and chips are homemade they need to rethink the salsa recipe ... it just wasn't good. I ordered a taco salad with chicken. It was soupy ... yes soupy! It was also missing a few items that you would expect in a taco salad. Tomatoes are typically diced. There was a tomato slice thrown on top of the salad (similar to what you might see on a sandwich). Yuck ... removed! Salsa or pico de gallo - either would have been nice but this salad came with neither. I asked the waiter if there was beans in the salad and he said "there's typically a very small amount on the very bottom". He was right but I was disappointed. Refried beans on the bottom of a taco shell made the shell very mushy. I pretty much got a soupy mixture of primarily shredded iceberg lettuce, a gob of sour cream and a gob of guacamole. The shredded chicken reminded me of canned chicken ... not the most appetizing. The service was not much better than the taco salad ... not the friendliest staff by far, a bunch of wait staff hanging around the bar (I was alone so I sat at the bar), one of them even counting out tips on the bar. Overall, a stretch to get 3 stars but I will give the benefit of the doubt and give them another try before I write them off completely (the restaurant is very close to where we just moved).
