We went for the catfish with another couple although I had perused the menu online for options other than fish. It was an early supper so we arrived before 5:00 and were seated upon arrival. The setting is warm and cozy although quite spacious with plenty of space between tables and booths. They have a big tree in the center that they decorate for whatever holiday is coming. I finally decided on the Mediterranean salad with the Gyro meat. (The choice was tough with so many good sounding meals.) I was not sure about the meat but was pleasantly surprised. It was a great option with this salad. The meat was delicious just by itself even. I enjoyed it tremendously. Everything was fresh and it's a bonus that they make their own dressing. The others enjoyed their fish fry and we each had a beer with our meal but the guys had 2 apiece. I mention this because when our bill arrived, we were amazed that our bill totals were under $50.00. Not sure what happened last night, but our food was sub par! We have always enjoyed dining here and it has been good. Not any busier than usual, so sure why. Our first clue should have been the appetiser, fried pickles. They were so fried and hard, the pickles had no taste nor moisture at all!! The chicken parmigiana was dry, burnt on the ends and smothered in cheese to hide it. The spaghetti was hard and cold. The BBQ ribs were burnt to the point of looking like coal, smothered in sauce to hide them, both dishes were inedible. The ground beef steak was acceptable and the baked lasagna was edible. Iced tea was great. Our waitress was very pleasant and apologised, it was not her fault, the kitchen staff attempted to pass off over cooked and charred old food. We dined at your restaurant tonight and the server Shelby did ok till it went bad. Waited at least an hour for the food no check in from server bill that time. My catfish was burned and my husbands fries came about a half hour after his sandwich was served. Fish was replaced but I sat while the rest of my part ate. At the end of the meal we had to hunt down the server for our bills. She said we should have asked for them when she was clearing plates! When bill were brought no offers for comps for burnt or late food. When she returned with credit cards she slapped them on the table. Went there twice and I think I am done. The first time, I had a chicken sandwich. Easy enough chicken was tough and chewy but looked good. Big piece but really chewy. Second time, shrimp Caesar salad. The shrimp were not even deveined. Not a single one. Waitress acted surprised and said it was probably just one or two. No, all of them had a full poop shoot. All open from COVID, seemingly, no wait at all. Got a 8oz Filet Minon ordered Medium Rare, was perfect, melt in your mouth. Also ordered the double patty burger, cooked medium, had a bit of burnt edges but good besides that. The classic 80s comedy had a rampaging dancing gopher terrorizing Bill Murray's golf course. As I blew in here at happy hour on a Thursday, I looked around for the gopher but instead spotted two gorgeous bartenders which were way better! Well this may be an old sports bar next to a muni golf course but there are several standout you must try for dinner! I just had the crusted rack of lamb ( chose to slice them into lolipops for more crust coverage) They were an excellent medium rare as ordered! Well done Chef!! Come with two sides, I had baked potato and mixed vegetables and they were both good. OK this is not a big city 5 star place but I have to tell you, the Lamb was fantastic! Very good portion also, I am 6 ft 260 and a weight lifter and I had no room for desert!! Next I am going to try the bone in rib eye which the BT tells me is also very good!! It may look like a 70's sports bar but there are several standouts here! Come and try a few apps, tacos great, quesadillas really great! Thise I had on previous lunch visits but also very good!! This place is average-good. I posted some pictures after visiting here. I called to get info because nothing showed on-line or on yelp. The bar waitress didn't act as if she liked her job, and didn't like answering questions. We had a couple drinks then came back another day for food. Beer specials were good @ $1.99 for a domestic pint glass. The lasagna and chicken Parmesan was good for the price but nothing superior. Our waitress Evette was good and very friendly. Based on several visits to Sebring, good restaurants are pretty rare in this part of Florida. At least we finally found a well-made burger. Caddyshacks appears to be the 'Clubhouse-style' restaurant affiliated with a golf course out back. Wanting to avoid chains like Applebee's or Chili's, we took a chance & stopped in to try what had been suggested to us as the best burger in town. A large bar with old tv's and an array of even older tables and chairs greeted us. We sat at the bar and were promptly met by a tired-looking, sluggish, somnolent middle-aged dishwater blonde bartender who looked like she either could care less to be forced to wait on us, or was suffering from a monumental hangover. No, just not feeling well, we were told. Ok, why don't you either hide it & fake a smile and perk up, or leave? Neither, unfortunately. The large 8 oz burger was very good. The onion rings and fries were also tasty, though the steak-style cut of the fries needed to have been cooked just a little longer. Plenty of beer choices and a fairly large menu encourage us to consider a return visit should we find ourselves in the area in the future.
