Yesterday 12 of us celebrated my mother's 99th birthday with brunch at the Cellar. What a wonderful experience! We were met with tables, arranged to seat 12 of us, covered in white tablecloths, with small candle lamps on the table. My mother remarked on the beautiful place settings. Our server, Lauren, immediately took our beverage orders, and promptly returned with our requests. Once everyone arrived, we received plates of sliced bread with seasoned dipping oil. Our brunch orders were filled quickly, and our family from large cities were very impressed with the presentation and variety of the menu offerings. We could not have asked for a nicer afternoon. They stopped serving brunch at 2 PM, but did not rush us out of the restaurant, and helped present Mom's birthday cake. We hope to celebrate her 100th birthday there next year! read more

The pasta with shrimp was decent, but unfortunately it didn't really stand out for me. The shrimp were good and the portion was nice, but the pasta could have used more flavor and seasoning. Amazing experience at The Cellar! My friend invited me and a group of friends to celebrate her birthday in Sebring, and since I'm from out of town, I didn't know about this place but I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is beautiful, and our server was so kind, taking time to explain the menu, desserts, and drinks. She checked on us regularly and made sure we were taken care of. The food was delicious, the prices were fair, and the portions were generous enough to fill you up without being overwhelming. The desserts were good, though none of us completely fell in love with them. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely be back to try something new the next time I visit Sebring! read more

The food, service and ambience are all very good. However, sometimes, less is more. We had the salmon Venezia and pork schnitzel . Both were excellently plated. Both tasted good too. Neither dish needed the add on of the greens on the schnitzel or the dill hollandaise on the salmon. Don't get me wrong, Both dishes were very tasty. Both were better with the accoutrements removed. What a nice surprise in Sebring. I travel here for business and always frequent cowpokes or the inn on the lake. Decided to try The Cellar, so glad I did. Nan the bartender was spectacular, friendly , offered suggestions, but not all in your space. I travel solo, so it's nice to know this is a solo friendly bar and restaurant. Had the lobster bisque it was loaded with lobster, the best I've had since Martha's Vineyard. Had a great Bombay dirty martini, then had the pear pillows, this was a tad salty for my taste the only reason I am not giving a five star. For dessert I had the tuxedo dessert, this is not housemade, I've had it in other establishments, but the presentation was on point. I will be back. read more

We asked online for people's favorite restaurant for a special occasion and got many recommendations for The Cellar. We visited for my birthday a couple weeks ago and had a very pleasant experience. First, service from Liz was outstanding. Very attentive without being bothersome, you can tell she really enjoys her job and is very good at it! We started with the fried calamari app and it was fantastic, probably the best we've ever had. Tender, crispy, perfectly fried to a golden brown and lightly mixed with Thai sweet chili sauce. 10/10. My wife got their version of Shrimp Scampi, which was good, but very "wet", like the pasta wasn't fully drained or possibly pasta water was added to the pan and not reduced enough. It was also lacking in garlic flavor. Still good, but could've been better. I treated myself to the Frutti Di Mare, which was very good but suffered from the same problem as the Scampi, too wet. Unfortunately, in both dishes, that extra water diluted what could have been a very tasty sauce. It's too bad, but we see this watered down sauce dilution problem a lot in Italian restaurants. Overall, still a great experience and we'll be back at some point to give them another shot. We were told that they'll be rolling out some menu changes when they reopen after vacation. read more

I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and the portion size was literally the size of an unbreaded fish stick. When you charge that much for a dish, you need to make it a decent serving size. Not a serving for a 3 year old. Mushroom risotto was lacking flavor. Service was great! Won't be going back there anytime soon. read more

We went here for my father's 76th Birthday and they really went above and beyond to make it extra special. Great wine selection at fair prices. Our appetizers were great- we had delicious jumbo shrimp and the flowered ricotta zucchini was delicious! While our group had a variety of dishes, the steaks were cooked perfect. The lobster was tasty but a little over cooked for one person. I had the filet stroganoff and the steak was perfect although I wish it had more sauce because I love more of a goopy sauce. My son had penna alla vodka and said it was delicious. To the end the meal, they gifted my father a tiramisu for his birthday and we ordered a few other desserts- all delicious! Had reservations planning on a nice Mother's Day after taking our order we waited over a hour for food. I ordered prime rib rare medium told the waitress I did not want medium it came well done. iI sent it back after waiting a about 25 minutes I stopped the manager walking a told her, she came back a informed me they were out of prime rib and would make me a steak, another half hour wait, iI asked for butter for my mashed potatoes never got my wife and the other couple were done eating by then. We ordered more bread more drinks the waitress never came back. People around us left their drinks on the table and walked out after waiting a hour plus for Food. The restaurant ran out of other items on their Mother's Day menu. People around were sending their food back. waitress was taking food from table to table trying to find who ordered it. I kid you not a couple at the table next to us was using his jack knife to cut their meat. It appeared they got greedy to many reservation and walk ins. Then they had food and staff. waitresses were crying and walking out. Looking at past reviews it appears the did not do well on Valentine's. I'm so glad we did! We started with the steakhouse salad and I had the lobster bisque! I almost needed a knife to cut the chunks of lobster up in the most amazing soup ever! Went here for Valentine's dinner! 1) Our waitress would not give us a taste of the house wine, insisting we had to buy a glass to taste it despite the fact it is sold by the glass so obviously there is a bottle already opened 2) Our waitress rushed us all evening. So much so that she actually came to the table with a takeout box and began putting the remainder of my prime rib in the box without even asking if I was done and I wasn't. She also was rushing so much that she fell coming up the stairs and went crashing into the table next to us 3) the set menu was a bit confusing as only the entrees were priced. When we asked how it worked she looked at us as if we were stupid. Other tables asked the same question 4) my girlfriend has a soy allergy and despite making the waitress aware of this, my girlfriend became ill shortly after eating. We thought we would give The Cellar a try since they recently opened. Walking in, the interior was quite elegant, the servers smartly dressed, looking refined. We were served by Shawn who was very personable and attentive. My wife ordered a Caesar Salad which was very good, but no anchovies. I ordered the Calamari which was a generous portion and very tender. My wife ordered the Chicken Alla Parmigiana and I had the Crusted Lamb Chops. The chicken was good, served with spaghetti that had the sauce mixed with it. My plate came with 6 chops, green beans and mashed potatoes. Very tasty. I was pleased to see lamb on the menu as lamb chops are my favorite dish. We are eager to try all the items on the menu, so we will definitely be back. read more

We attended your establishment the evening before Mother's Day, and I had been anxiously looking forward to the experience. The food was excellent, but I had a bad feeling from the time we entered. The hostess never smiled. No greeting. All she said was "Reservations?" Yes, we had reservations but they tried to seat us first at a high top, and I said no, then they tried to seat us at a table entering the garden room where we would be tripped over...I said no. We had to now wait for a table, but the place was only half full. They finally seated us at a decent table. We were handed menus, and the server walked away. Another server poured us some water...no ice, ugh...this is Florida. We expect ice in our water. After about five minutes the original server came back and asked if we wanted to order...we were not rushed for time, but apparently they were. We had barely had time to peruse the menu, but we went ahead and ordered. My oysters Rockefeller were very good, but no seafood fork was served with them, so I had to use my salad fork and set it aside...not a good thing in a classy restaurant. The bread was good. My oyster plate was picked up the minute I finished the last bivalve...no smiling inquiry as to the food...and salad plates were plunked down without a word. I had ordered a glass of pinot grigio, and it contained less than two ounces of good wine...but two ounces? I thought at first they had simply brought me a sip to sample. We finished the salads...very good and fresh...and the plates were silently whisked away and the entree plates were immediately plopped down. The servers did not ask if we wanted anything else, did not offer more bread or refills on drinks. My spouse said his chicken parmigiana was very good. My veal Oscar was outstanding, but it should be served with risotto or angel hair pasta...not refrigerated, dry mashed potatoes. Just lose the mashed spuds. We had barely finished eating when the server snatched the plates away...we said we didn't want dessert...and I'm not really sure if she offered. She brought the check, we sipped our limoncellos...nice touch...and we left, feeling quite disappointed. As I said, the food was outstanding, but the meal was spoiled by a serving staff that doesn't seem to have a clue about working in what would like to appear to be an upscale restaurant. Our area needs a good restaurant, but the Cellar falls short of the mark by having a seriously untrained staff, who barely acknowledge the diners they are hoping to get a good tip from. At no time did a manager move among the tables, speaking to the diners and checking to see if everything was satisfactory. The place had a distinctly unwelcoming atmosphere about it. Not a place I'm going to rush to for another round, but we will probably give it another shot. One last thing...I was under the impression that you had a dress code, yet several diners came in wearing dirty jeans, one with his butt crack showing, equally grubby shoes and shirts. These people looked and smelled like they had crawled out from under a truck they had been servicing...not that there's anything wrong with mechanics, gotta have 'em, but they really should have been directed to a more informal eatery for the comfort of the other diners. So train your staff to smile and be friendly and efficient and to pay attention to the needs of their customers, serve ice water, do not appear to rush the diners, and for God's sake serve a decent sized glass of wine. read more

I had Chicken Oscar that was served with mashed potato and 3 asparagus spears. potato was cold and ?? may have been instant. the asparagus had the ends left on that were not good. sauce , lump crab and chicken was hood. Everything about our dining experience was perfect. From the time you arrive you realize this is a notch above anything else here. This is fine dining. We decided to try a few items. Libations: 2 glasses of wine each. Starter: Calamari with peppers. Perfectly prepared and the peppers were subtle letting the squid shine. Entrees: Chicken Picatta with linguine. The sauce was phenomenal. Veal Oscar (Veal with crab and asparagus). I cut the Veal with a fork. The pan sauce with crab outstanding. And it was nice to see the culinary touch of peeling the outer skin on the asparagus. Add on: Perfectly seared scallops. Dessert: Creme Brule and coffee. It was nice to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and dining experience. There are many restaurants in our town I enjoy for various tastes. But this place isn't going out to eat. Just outstanding. We have been several times and hands down this is the best restaurant in the Sebring area. The service and attention to detail is top notch, as is the food. You have to try that veal chop, so succulent. We went tonight again for Valentines. They had a menu specifically for tonight. We both had the Osso Buco which was amazingly good. Service was impeccable We ended up sitting at the bar because all reservations were full...Celeste was our bartender and she was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Upon entering you realize you're in an upscale restaurant. From the initial greeting to being seated made you feel that you were being treated like a very welcomed guest! We ate at The Cellar on New Year's Eve. First of all service was very slow as we waited 20 minutes for a server to come to our table got our drink order. We then waited another 20 minutes to get our drinks actually served. The menu was reasonably priced, about like Bravo or Outback. The choices on the menu were extensive They had 8 different options on stuffed ravioli, 4 Italian chicken options, veal options, 5 seafood options. Prime rib, filet mignon, or surf and turf (Lobster and Prime rib). I had meatball appetizer that was the most delicious meatballs I've ever tasted. My wife had little pasta shells stuffed with roasted pear, Gorgonzola cheese in a white cream sauce. My chicken Sinatra was excellent. However my wife's veal was cold so that we brought it home and will eat it hot. I had 1 Martini and my wife had one cocktail and the entire bill was only $120. They had over 50 wine options but those were ridiculous $20 dollars for a glass of wine NOT from me they won't. All in all we will be back to give this place another try with the hope that their service level improves. read more

We were so excited to try this place. There were 3 of us. Right off, one plate was sent back as it was cold. The second person had lobster bisque which was excellent. I had an appetizer of shrimp, it was also excellent. I had a ribeye steak which had a strip of gristle half an inch wide full length of the piece, it was tough and largely not edible. Chicken Caesar salad oil drenched lettuce chicken grilled unseasoned bland and shaved Parmesan cheese no croutons or seasoning in dressing. Wife had steakhouse chop salad same blah over oiled dressing with very blah mozzarella cheese clots. No tomatoes garlic seasoning. For a high end place I do not see it lasting a summer nothing makes me want to return. Sorry not worth the price for flavorless food. It took longer to get and pay the check than it did to eat. Menu should list items in bold text with regular text for ingredients would be easier to understand. read more
