We installed another Trane hvac system as well as 1 mini split unit in our back room. Adams bid was clear and complete and did not have a bunch of nickel and dime add ons that just increase the bottom line cost and makes the bid a bit confusing. My focus was not to just seek the cheapest bid but who I thought would do a quality job with the install on our older (1937) home at a fair price. In the end Adam and his team did a great job and were on time and respectful of our property and properly explained the new equipment and provided all the manuals and warranty paperwork. I called 6 HVAC companies, and 5 of the companies wanted to bill me twice. All HVAC Services was the exception. The contactor is right next to the capacitor and it's an additional 5 minutes of labor. It didn't make sense to me that other companies wanted to charge me separately for labor and do 2x the bill. Ricardo (aka as Ricky) was more reasonable and only charged me a prorated labor rate (based on my scenario, your situation might be different). Ricky also spent time explaining how to DIY for the future if I pursue that route. He provided a lot of helpful tips that YouTube doesn't cover. Overall, this is probably the best HVAC company you can contact for your needs. Ricky came out the same day and provided great rates among the compared to the other 5companies. In total, I've probably had about 6-7 techs in my house over that period, some of which were even recommended by the manufacturer. Rey left each of those techs in the dust with his professionalism, kindness, and ability to diagnose, fix, and repair the issue when no other was able to. Rey was incredibly kind, engaging, and truly wants the best for his clients. Despite having been under an incorrect assumption that our AC had a massive leak, Rey kindly explained that the leak is actually a slow leak, and explained what that meant. He looked at our multi-split system, the layout of our home, and explained the various options of what he could do and what he suggested we do. Prior to Rey's visit, I had been resigned to my fate of needing to replace our multi-split unit, which would be immensely costly. Despite knowing this, Rey didn't push for a replacement, but rather suggested a much more cost-friendly and effective method that could potentially fix the leak, and therefore save us a lot in needing to replace the unit. Once we gave our approval, he immediately went out and got what we needed and got to work in the hot weather. A couple hours later, he was done and our AC is back to working! Unfortunately, I had a previous vendor simply top off the condenser and had the gall to tell me that it would last a few days till he got the part to stop the leak. I paid hundreds of dollars to get the refrigerant filled, only to wait for the part then refill it again and pay hundreds of dollars more! So, I went on a search for a new HVAC vendor and I solicited 12 vendors on Yelp as I had good prospects in the past using their platform. About half said they were unable to service, and the rest required a diagnostic fee the highest of which was quoted at $600 that amounted to filling the condenser with die, waiting a few weeks, then coming back to verify the leaks! A nitrogen test would tell you on the spot if you had leaks. Fortunately, I found Air Plus and conversed with Mel, the owner, and he was very responsive, asked the right questions and would do a site visit without a fee. He came the next day and evaluated the condenser, and I pointed out where the last vendor failed. He was able to provide a solution which I agreed with and got to work with his great crew and was able to fix the problem in just over an hour! What he charged me was totally fair and Air Plus is now my go to for all HVAC installs, repairs and maintenance. I highly recommend them more as they should be your go to for any HVAC needs!
